Shevchenko, 36, shared a video of herself wearing shorts and a bikini top, displaying her incredible fighting skills on the beach close to the surf. “Fakarava Atoll incredible place in the middle of Pacific ocean ✨️ 💙 🌴🌊💚☀️,” she captioned the post. Shevchenko is one of the most unique champions in the MMA world—here’s what her fighting philosophy looks like.

1. Training Halle Berry

Valentina Shevchenko.1Valentina Shevchenko/Instagram

Shevchenko trained Halle Berry for her role in the 2020 action movie Bruised. “We trained for two months before the filming,” the fighter told Screen Rant. “Two months, everyday training started from 7:00 AM and ended at 1:00 PM. So five hours of training nonstop. We never break for the rest. We never spoke or laughed during the training… too much sometimes, yes, but it was everything serious, but very enjoyable. It was not any kind of pressure to do it now, good. We knew we had to build it.”

2. Proud of the Partnership

Shevchenko was impressed both by Berry’s directorial skills and her fitness levels. “She doesn't say too many words. She said one or two, but it's the exact words that you want to hear,” Shevchenko told Screen Rant. “This is I think the best quality because she saw the picture, what she wants from the movie, her movie. She exactly knows how to describe it to you for you to understand what to perform. You know, mixed martial arts is everything. Its universal fighter and its universal fight with universal technique. Halle was training before this movie for two or three years. She's very good at everything because yeah, she's an MMA fighter now.”

3. Fight Preparation

Shevchenko says she prepares for every fight as if it’s the most important so far. “Doing martial arts for 28 years brings me a lot of experience,” she told Yahoo! Sports. “Second and most important, it's like knowing what I want. What is number one for me. And to be able to get rid of all unnecessary things, and like to focus only one thing that's really important, to be successful in martial arts, to be dominated as a fighter. And just to prepare for each fight is if it's my best fight.”

4. No Stressful Goals

Intuitive,Eating,Symbol.,White,Card,With,Words,Intuitive,Eating,,BeautifulShutterstock

Shevchenko deliberately does not set goals for herself. “Because you have this pressure and you are thinking, oh no, I have to rush in some way, or I have to do that, I have to like another thing,” she told Yahoo! Sports. “And if something is going not that way as they planned, they are so frustrated. They try and do like crazy things. They're starting to act like, literally, like you're thinking like, what they are doing. It's not that's how it's supposed to be. And that's why I don't like it. I don't like to set goals.”

5. Breaking the Mold

Shevchenko is passionate about making her own space in the MMA world. “I just want to be a martial artist, to enjoy my life in the martial arts, to be successful, to be dominant champion, to open for any opportunities that's going to come,” she told Yahoo! Sports. “And like it doesn't mean that I'm stuck in one place and I'm not going to move. I mean about like fights opportunities. I open for anything, but I just want to like to be like as everyone expected.”

Valentina Shevchenko is an extremely successful MMA fighter. She also appeared in the film Bruised. Shevchenko recently enjoyed a trip to Vietnam. While there, she made sure to hit the beach and do some swimming. She shared a reel on Instagram of herself on the beach. She captioned the post, “Feels good.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Valentina Shevchenko stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Swims

As you can see from her recent post, Shevchenko loves to swim. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself in the water. In this video, she is seen doing freestyle laps in a pool. Shevchenko captioned the post, “When not training, then swimming.” The British Heart Foundation states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is one of the few activities that work your whole body. Breaststroke, backstroke, front crawl, butterfly and even doggy paddle get your legs and arms moving. This in turn works your back and core muscles.”

2. She Does Martial Arts

Shevchenko opened up about how she trains as an MMA fighter to Women’s Health. “Fighters, they have to know how to box, have to know how to kick, how to wrestle, how to grapple, everything," she says. "They have to do it, not just okay, they have to do it in perfection. For me, martial arts, it's kind of [the] same as religion, because you have to believe in what you are doing and your temple is your dream.”

3. She Hikes

One thing Shevchenko likes to do to stay fit is going on hikes. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself going on a hike along the Pacific Coast Highway. Shevchenko captioned the post, “Ocean , Mountains , Winery 🍇Gorgeous landscapes along #PacificWestCoast.” Ace Fitness states, “Hiking helps increase the strength in the leg muscles, builds stability in the core muscles and enhances balance skills. The more technical the terrain is, along with an increase in climbing intensity, the more balance and core strength is required because more muscles are being recruited to manage the steeper terrain. As you climb, the larger muscles in your legs are activated (such as the quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and calves), and on the descent, your glutes and quadriceps are working hard to prevent you from falling forward on the decline. Uneven terrain means many of the smaller stabilizer muscles are being worked, which increases stability and balance overall.”

4. She’s Determined

Self,Determination,Word,In,A,Dictionary.,Self,Determination,Concept.Shutterstock

Shevchenko opened up about how she approaches training and fights to Yahoo Sports. She says that being determined is a big factor for her. “It's like knowing what I want. What is number one for me. And to be able to get rid from all unnecessary things, and like to focus only one thing that's really important, to be successful in martial arts, to be dominated as a fighter. And just to prepare for each fight is if it's my best fight.”

5. She Doesn’t Set Goals

In her Yahoo Sports interview, Shevchenko opened up about why she doesn’t like setting goals. “I kind of feel that when the person trying to set goals like and follows his goals, it's just like it's not good. It's not good for the internal feeling that one can have. Because you have this pressure and you are thinking, oh no, I have to rush in some way, or I have to do that, I have to like another thing. And if something is not going as they planned, they are so frustrated. They try and do crazy things. They're starting to act like, literally, like you're thinking like, what they are doing. It's not how it's supposed to be. And that's why I don't like it. I don't like to set goals.”

How does Halle Berry’s Bruised costar maintain her amazing body? Celebwell rounded up her top health habits.

1. Targeted Training

Valentina’s training mimics what she's doing during competition. She does very little strength and weight training. "You do the same as working with weights, but something that actually will work good for you in a fight," she told Women’s Health.

2. Grueling Workouts

Valentina spends a lot of time in the gym. "It's hard work and nonstop," she told Women’s Health about her two to three hours a day of training. She takes a rest day Friday and then wakes up around 8 a.m. to do a light training session on Saturday morning before her fights. "It's like a 40-minute training, just to stretch and sweat," she says.

3. Balanced Diet

Valentina has to fuel up with a lot of food for her workouts. "I can eat everything," she told Women’s Health "But I think the main idea is balance." Two rules she does follow? She avoids eating at night and overeating before a fight.

4. Recovery

Due to the physically demanding nature of her career, Valentina puts a lot of focus on recovery. This involves taking time "just being in nature, recharging enough to get back." she says. She also works with physical therapists and gives herself down time. "My trainings are super intensive and super difficult," she adds. "That's why you try to save your energy as much as you can."

5. Boxing

"Fighters, they have to know how to box, have to know how to kick, how to wrestle, how to grapple, everything," Valentina told Women’s Health. "They have to do it, not just okay, they have to do it in perfection." She added: “For me, martial arts, it's kind of [the] same as religion, because you have to believe in what you are doing and your temple is your dream.” Harvard Health maintains that boxing is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance, and helps increase alertness.

Rebeca Andrade is an Olympic gymnast. She is the most decorated Olympic athlete from Brazil, having won two gold medals, three silvers, and a bronze. Andrade recently shared some highlights of her native Brazil on Instagram. In some of them, she posed in a swimsuit while wading. Andrade captioned the post, “SC-&-RS🏕️🌅❤️ Being free is a paradox. It's committing to the life you want, without running away from the work that it entails. It's building freedom every day, with conscious choices and, mainly, with the acceptance that freedom is not the absence of limits, but the autonomy to know which ones are worth it and which ones are not. Being free is being willing to carry the weight of your own life and still find it funny.”

She Swims

In her Instagram post, Andrade is seen swimming. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

She Does Gymnastics

Gymnastics is the main way Andrade stays in shape. British Gymnastics states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “When you take part in gymnastics, or any sport for that matter, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body which can have a positive impact on your happiness and mental wellbeing. This can help to combat feelings of anxiety and depression.”

She Prioritizes Safety

Andrade talked about her training approach in an interview with the Olympics website. She says that she and her coach prioritize her safety, and that she will skip floor sessions if she isn’t able to do it. "I talk a lot with my coach and we trust in each other. We always try to be really safe, and do floor in the correct moments. He believes in me. I'm never going to lie to not do it. So, when I really tell him that I can't do it, it's because I cannot and he always respects that.”

She Sets Goals

In her Olympics website interview, Andrade talked about her commitment and goal setting. Specifically, she talked about her goal to make the Olympic team. “The other [goal], which is the main one, is for us to qualify as a team,” Andrade said. “I think it will be very important for me, for my team, and the focus is on that, whatever happens there, the result is a consequence of our work, of our commitment. But I really want to be there with my team and be happy and healthy.”

She Cooks

Andrade makes sure to eat healthy. She also likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She shared some of her favorite things to make in an interview with NPR. “There was one that was with potatoes and cheese, chicken. There’s cake. There’s cookies. A lot of things.”

Best known for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the US and UK versions of Celebrity Big Brother, and The Traitors, Glanville always speaks her mind. Her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, recently stirred up some drama when she called out Real Housewives stars for struggling on The Traitors and suggested the show stop casting them. Many fans saw this as subtle shade toward Phaedra Parks, who excelled in the previous season.

Beyond the headlines, Glanville has shared glimpses into her personal wellness routine, from skincare secrets to unconventional self-care methods. Here’s a look at how she stays feeling and looking her best.

She Walks

Brandi is seen walking her dog

Brandi Glanville/Instagram

Glanville likes to walk her dogs to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her pup walking in Los Angeles. Glanville captioned the post, “On our way to do some podcasting.” Harvard Health says that walking is very beneficial. “Walking can help protect you during cold and flu season. A study of over 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, had 43% fewer sick days than those who exercised once a week or less. And if they did get sick, it was for a shorter duration, and their symptoms were milder.”

She Has A Dog

As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Glanville has pet dogs. And according to Harvard Health, this can be beneficial. “A growing body of solid research shows that owning a dog can: provide companionship, help you be more active, make kids calmer, more secure, and more responsible, improve the lives of older individuals, help you be calmer, more mindful, and more present in your life, make you more social and less isolated, ease stress.”

I eat better and breathe and actually exercise. I’m getting there. I just started with this journey, but I can actually do things. My body can do things now that I couldn’t do five years ago.”

She Uses CellSound

Glanville revealed to People that she used the CellSound treatment on her stomach. "I mean, to be honest, I haven't worn a crop top in years, and I literally feel comfortable going out in a crop top, which is so bizarre," she says. "Not that I feel like everyone should do that, but I can go work out with a crop top on and not feel like I have my mommy stomach and I shouldn't sit down. So it's definitely empowered me in that aspect."
