She Sticks Up For Others

In 2021, The Bachelor franchise was rocked with controversy, when then-host Chris Harrison ignored a contestant's past racism. Several former contestants condemned this action, including Grimaldi. She shared this post on Instagram, captioning it, "There is a lot I still need to learn/unlearn and if you want to do it with me, I may be late to the game, but finally ordered 'White Fragility' by Robin DiAngelo. Cause my sentiment is, if we are a 'Bachelor Family we should have each other's back."

She Boxes

Grimaldi loves to box as a way of staying in shape. She opened up about it in this Instagram post. "My favourite workout: BOXING. If you're like me and always in your head, boxing teaches you to be present. To be alert. Know what punches to throw or when to duck. It'll be almost a year since I started boxing with @reblunion and although I wish I was more consistent, it's the most consistent I've been in the last 3 years when it comes to working out."

Grimaldi doesn't like to limit herself too much. In the same Instagram post, Grimaldi revealed that she likes to try new things, as she thinks it helps her grow as a person. She writes in the caption, "Here's to trying new things, even if that means getting out of your comfort zone. You might be surprised with what you end up liking or what you're good at!"

She's Grown As A Person

When ABC re-aired her Bachelor season in 2020, Grimaldi opened up about her feelings in this Instagram post. In it, she says that she feels like she has come a long way since her time on the show. "3 years later, after A LOT of healing and self-growth, I truly am finally at peace. I've learned to laugh at the mean and hurtful comments and embrace the thoughtful and meaningful ones. I know my purpose in this life is to help others. To do good. I know that I matter. I am finally back to feeling like Vanessa again and WOW does it feel good!!"

She Has No Time For Haters

Grimaldi has no time for haters on social media. When a new season of The Bachelor was about to premiere, she encouraged the show's fans to be kind to contestants in this Instagram post. "To IG users: There is a misconception, stigma, judgment that comes from being on a reality TV show. Sometimes people on social media, and off, will treat contestants like they're fictional characters, robots that don't have emotions. That can't feel. As if words won't hurt them. But they do and they will. So, please be kind to these new women entering a very strange yet exciting journey in their lives!"
