Vanessa Loves Being in Nature
"I love hiking. I love just being outside; having a moment to myself to clear my head and get some fresh air. And also, going on vacations, I love going to places that are tropical or forests, and really just taking the time to get to know the land and the environment. Just stop to take a moment to really take it in. I think it's so centering, so grounding," she told the Cut.
She Eats "Real" Food
"My overall food philosophy is, if it's real, I'll eat it," Vanessa told Shape. "Many things are processed and contain chemicals and ingredients I can't pronounce. I want real food." Some ideas from the Mayo Clinic: "Buy grains such as oatmeal and brown rice in bulk. Food co-ops are often good at offering foods in bulk. Visit farmers markets for summertime deals. You can usually pick up the freshest produce at the lowest prices."
She's Into Healthy Fats
"Intermittent fasting is great, because when I am fasting—those first two weeks are definitely rough, I'm not going to lie, but after that I feel more grounded and powerful in my workouts. And I get the nutrients that I need when I eat, but then I also eat what I want," she told People.
She Has Tried Keto
"People a lot of times think of fats in diets as a negative thing, and when you're doing keto it's a very positive thing," Vanessa told People. "I'm always making sure I'm getting those healthy fats in, so I eat a LOT of almond butter."
She's Into Fitness Classes
Hudgens has done SoulCycle and works out at DogPound. "I'm the type of person that needs to be in a class," Vanessa told PopSugar. "I need someone telling me what to do, and I love being in a group environment because I'm very competitive, so it pushes me to work harder than I would if I was by myself."
She Loves Her Body a Little More
"I don't think we give our bodies enough gratitude for simply just doing what it does, without us telling it to do it," she told People Style. "Just the fact that it can digest food for you and keep food down and fight off bacteria," she continued. "Realizing that has helped me love my body a little more."
She Uses Sunscreen
"I always try to wear sunscreen, especially on my face, just because I think that when we're young and we're carefree about it and we don't really think twice about the fact that the sun can be damaging to our skin. I don't want wrinkles, so every time I go into the sun, I try to wear a lot of sunscreen," she told the Cut.
