Actress Vanessa Hudgens knows the power of good hydration. She partnered with actor Oliver Trevena to launch Cali Water, a cactus water. “I have fainted twice in my life both from dehydration; it’s really an issue,” Hudgens told Forbes. “It’s easy to say ‘drink more water,’ but as someone who thoroughly does not enjoy it, it’s never on the top of my priority list. 1. She Practices Intermittent Fasting

Hudgens revealed to People that she is a fan of the popular eating plan, intermittent fasting. This means, she avoids eating for at least an eight hour period each day. She says that while it can be difficult, it makes her feel better. “Intermittent fasting is great, because when I am fasting—those first two weeks are definitely rough, I’m not going to lie, but after that I feel more grounded and powerful in my workouts. And I get the nutrients that I need when I eat, but then I also eat what I want.”
2. She Eats What She Wants For Dinner

When it comes to her last meal of the day, Hudgens says that this is the time where she allows herself to splurge. "Dinner depends on my mood," Hudgens told Shape. "I let myself have what I want. If that's a big bowl of spaghetti with clams and a glass of wine, then that's what I'm eating. Sometimes I crave a salad, and I'll make a big one with nuts and goat cheese and salmon. Other times, it's tacos and a margarita."
3. She’s A Pescatarian

Hudgens follows a pescatarian diet, which means she doesn’t eat most meat, but eats fish. She says that she had to make a lot of changes to her diet after deciding to adopt the pescatarian lifestyle. “I used to be the girl who ate bacon for breakfast every single morning,” she told Women’s Health. “But what animals go through is so inhumane. That's not a system that I support.” Hudgens says to the magazine that she now usually eats vegan sausage, toast, and avocado for breakfast.
4. She Avoids Processed Food

While Hudgens says that she doesn’t like to be super restrictive with her diet, she does avoid processed food. "My overall food philosophy is, if it's real, I'll eat it," the actress said to Shape. "Many things are processed and contain chemicals and ingredients I can't pronounce. I want real food."
5. She’s On The Keto Diet

On days when she’s not intermittent fasting, Hudgens practices another popular diet, keto. She tells People that the keto diet has really helped her eat healthy. “If you have the right ingredients to keep you on track, I think it’s amazing. People a lot of times think of fats in diets as a negative thing, and when you’re doing keto it’s a very positive thing. I’m always making sure I’m getting those healthy fats in, so I eat a LOT of almond butter. You feel really energetic and supported on the keto diet.”
