Veronika Rajek Shares Swimsuit Photo Dreaming of "Capri Streets"

Here’s how this model stays healthy and gorgeous.

Slovakian model Veronika Rajek is sunning herself on vacation in beautiful Capri, Italy. Rajek, 27, shared a video of herself relaxing on a lounger in a blue and green bikini, against a background of beautiful ocean water and blue skies. How does Rajek stay so toned and fit? The model is open about her diet and exercise philosophy, and the food she avoids at all cost. Here are 5 ways she maintains her health and energy.

1

Her Diet and Exercise

Rajek works out every day and enjoys a healthy diet. "I workout normally like running, squats and abs, 1 hour 30 mins of workout time," she says. "I only eat like Greek salads, tomato soup, grapes with Nutella and strawberries, spaghetti and some Slovak food. If you want to be my friend, you need to cook something for me. I don't eat fast food. I don't eat healthy, but I don't eat trash or junk food. When I was working as a model in Milan and I only had a few Euros I went to McDonald's and didn't know what it was because I was 16. I got a cheeseburger and didn't like it."

Health Advice

Rajek advises someone at the start of their workout journey to keep it simple, and avoid unhealthy foods. "It's easy to get started today," she says. "Even if you don't have deep pockets, you can still live healthier. After all, I was also a girl from a small town who didn't even have three Euros for a gym membership, so I worked out at home, with bottles of water. Good diet advice: you can't eat what you don't have at home, so beware of unhealthy treats that unnecessarily tempt you in the store. Just don't buy them."

3

No Dieting or Calorie Counting

Rajek refuses to count calories or follow fad diets. "I have a rather clean healthy diet," she says. "I don't drink alcohol or coffee, I limit meat and I don't even eat raw animal products. I don't diet, I don't fast, and I don't even follow calorie counts. In general, I don't follow influencers who have been working out for a year and already give instructions for the body of their dreams. I don't understand this trend. After all, I know my body best, since I live with it my whole life."

Lots of Sleep

Rajek starts her day with lime water, and swears by early nights for her health and beauty. "Limes are low in calories, high in micronutrients and punch above their weight with regard to both water and fiber content," says Carly Sedlacek RDN, LD. "They're really good for us, but most of us aren't going to make a snack of them. The juice — without added sugar — is the best we can do."

5

Working Out With Trainer

Rajek says if a beginner can afford a trainer, it's well worth it. "If you have a budget for exercise, invest it in a trainer who will teach you how to exercise properly technically and set a tailored diet for you," she says. "And when you don't have a budget, the internet is full of information and YouTube is full of fitness videos. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help if you go to the gym, shyness does not belong there and everyone is willing to give you advice. After all, we all go to the gym for the same thing: to have a better, healthier and fitter body."
