Victoria Justice, the 29-year-old actress and singer, knows how to work hard--and based on recent Instagram snaps of herself on vacation, how to play hard. Justice posted a series of bikini photos in the pool with friends, captioning one “fun in le sun!” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Justice stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves To Keep Things Interesting

Justice likes to mix it up when it comes to her workouts. "I love taking classes to switch it up, so I'll do a dancing class or a twerk class…. It's actually a really great workout,” she says. “After 10 minutes of twerking, your thighs and your butt feel it right away. But it's so much fun. You feel free. It's like, 'Who cares? I'm twerking!'"

2. She Is Incredibly Disciplined

“When you’re touring, I can’t stress how important it is to stay in shape,” Justice says. “I do a one hour set of running around on stage singing and dancing. You need to be in shape to do that or it will be extremely difficult. I work out (cardio, weights, and Zumba) before I go on tour and try to do as much as I can in between. I did forty one shows in seven and a half weeks, so that was about five shows a week. My routine on the road is getting enough sleep, eating well and doing some form of exercise when I can, sometimes I will visit the gym in the hotel if there is one. When you perform that many shows each week your show becomes your exercise routine since there isn’t always a lot of time to exercise.”

3. She Meditates

"I try to meditate every day. It's important to take that time, even if it's just 10 minutes, to block everything out and get grounded again,” Justice says. “And I love to lie on my hammock and read things that are inspirational and motivational, whether it's a self-help book or an autobiography." "Mindfulness helps increase self-awareness by increasing the ability to examine one's thoughts and feelings without judgment, which ends up improving self-esteem," says Brian Wind, PhD, Chief Clinical Officer at JourneyPure.

4. She Manages Hashimoto’s With Diet

Justice has previously tried to manage her Hashimoto's symptoms with her diet. “A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, which is a thyroid autoimmune disorder. . . . This Korean acupuncturist put me on a super-strict diet, where I was a pescatarian…. I also couldn't eat any sugar, wheat or dairy.” “If you have hypothyroidism, take thyroid hormone replacement medication as directed by your doctor — generally with an empty stomach,” says Ann Kearns, MD, PhD. “It's also important to note that too much dietary fiber can impair the absorption of thyroid hormone replacement medication. Certain foods, supplements and medications can have the same effect.”

5. Hot Yoga

Justice enjoys hot yoga classes, after being introduced to them by her sister. “Well my sister has gotten me into hot yoga,” she told Hollywood Life. “So yeah it’s tough. It was really not my thing in the beginning. And I still am in the classes sometimes and I’m like, ‘Why am I doing this? Why am I here right now?’ But it’s… You always leave feeling better. But yesterday we did a class and I had to step out ’cause I was just… I was that one person that was like, Nope, can’t take it. But when it’s over, you always feel like, Oh, your muscles, they’re relaxed and it’s so good.”

6. She Eats Whatever She Wants

Justice refuses to diet, and loves traditional Thanksgiving food. “Rule of thumb, I just kind of eat whatever I want. My favorite food on Thanksgiving… love a good prime rib stuffed with garlic and good stuffing,” she says. “And pie, I’m a big pie person. Love all the pies. Love pumpkin pie. We get chocolate cream pie sometimes in my household and they are so good, really good.”

7. She Loves A Good Zumba Class

“I had heard of Zumba but never taken a class,” Justice says. “A few weeks later I went on a fitness retreat with my mom and they were offering Zumba classes. My mom and I both took one and we loved it! It is fun and you get a great workout without feeling like you’re really exercising, because you’re doing dance moves. The lyrics are about shaking what your mama gave you. So, if a song comes on and you happen to be in a supermarket, just go with it; if it makes you feel good. I’m all about staying healthy, having fun, and feeling good and so is Zumba. It’s a great way to spread the word.” “From a cardiovascular standpoint, any exercise that helps maintain a healthy weight, and helps to lower blood pressure, is a good exercise to try,” says Jessica L. Root, PA-C.
