Don't Care About What People Think of You
Yara, who is open about plastic surgery, tries not to care about outside chatter. "No matter what I do, I get judged so often. But I did it and I'm happy that I did it. If I will care which everybody think about me, I will get freaking crazy [sic]," she said in an Instagram Story.
Maintain a Healthy Diet
Zara maintains a healthy diet, which is why she stays in such great shape. "I was trying to not eat for two," she explained in a video from her YouTube channel about how she maintained her figure during her pregnancy. "I was trying to eat just for one." In another post, her husband, Jovi, told a fan that Yara had put them on a "chicken and fish diet."
Run Daily
Yara also runs. "I run minimum three miles, maximum five miles per day," she says in the same video. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.
Do Burpees
In another 30-minute workout video posted to YouTube, Yara reveals the secret to her body. "Yeah, burpees and salads are such good genetics," she says. Then, she executes 45-second burpees, making it look easy.
Drink Green Smoothies
Yara loves green juice and smoothies. She makes her own at home, tossing pineapple, spinach, cucumber, parsley, and milk in her Ninja. "Vegetables in almost any form — cooked, frozen, canned, or juiced — are far better than no vegetables at all, she adds. Tossing a few handfuls of leafy greens or other veggies into a blender (along with your favorite fruits and other healthy additions) also can be an easy way to incorporate a wide variety of fresh produce into your diet," says Harvard Health.
Fuel Up in the Morning
Yara detailed her daily diet, revealing that she starts her day with a glass of water with lemon. Then, she eats a healthy breakfast of low-calorie bread, eggs, avocado, cream cheese, and smoked salmon. She also drinks a cup of coffee. Another breakfast she loves is waffles made with protein powder, coconut milk, and coconut oil spray.
Count Your Steps
Yara wears an activity tracker, an Apple Watch, to make sure she achieves her goals and stays motivated. "I was like, 'I have to close the circle,'" she explains. "Fitness trackers are a great tool for heart health," says Johns Hopkins cardiologist Seth Martin, M.D., M.H.S. "Being more active and changing your habits is important, but it can be difficult. Tracking likely helps a lot of people when combined with a clear goal to shoot for."
