For Oukhellou, wellness isn’t just about your body, it’s also about your mind and how you feel about yourself. In an interview with Luxurious Magazine, she explained, “I believe that in order to truly look and feel great about yourself, it’s not just about looking good on the outside, but it’s how you feel about yourself on the inside. Your mind plays a big role in this.”

2. She Has Her Own Fitness App

Oukhellou is a wellness guru, and one of her products is her own fitness app. She said that the pandemic is what encouraged her to make this app. Oukhellou told OK! Magazine, “I decided to make my Live Like Yaz fitness app because during the last lockdown I was finding it hard to exercise. I would follow YouTube videos, use other apps, and as a beginner I found it quite difficult. And I was eating more and not being very healthy, but by having an app with a structured plan and sends you notifications and reminders, you feel like someone is there with you pushing you to keep going."

3. She Practices Meditation

One of the ways Oukhellou takes care of her mental health and wellbeing is by practicing meditation twice a day. She tells Closer Online, “Every morning, I try to put on a morning meditation before I get out of bed just to start my day off positive. I think for me, self-love and also gratitude is a really, really big thing. So I try to do that every single morning and also before I go to sleep, I put on a sleep meditation to unblock my chakras and I think that really, really does help."

4. She Strength Trains

On Oukhellou’s Instagram page, she has a story highlight dedicated to her favorite ways to exercise. One of the types of workouts she likes to do is different strength training exercises. In the highlight, Oukhellou is seen doing sit ups with a circular weight, deadlifts with a barbell, and twists with a resistance band. Strength training has a lot of benefits, like building muscle, which can help you if you need to drop a couple of pounds. According to the American Cancer Society, “As you gain muscle, your body begins to burn calories more easily, making it easier to control your weight.”

5. She Boxes

Oukhellou is a big fan of boxing. She posted this reel on Instagram of herself doing some boxing with her trainer. She captioned the reel, “Protect my energy from your bad aura.” Since boxing is a form of High Intensity Interval Training, or HIIT, it has a lot of benefits for your health.
