1. She Takes Things Week By Week

SammiHanrattySammi Hanratty/Instagram

Hanratty opened up about her life in an interview with POPSugar. She says that when it comes to acting, she took things slow. "We didn't have the money for us to come and stay in LA for very long," Hanratty explains. "I remember my mom being like, 'You only have these couple of days.' And my sister came, and thankfully she booked a commercial, which gave us enough money to last for another week. And then I booked a commercial after that week, and then we had enough money to last another week."

2. She Accepts Herself

Los Angeles Premiere Of "Only Murders In The Building" Season 2 - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Hanratty has been on a journey of self-discovery, and she tells POPSugar that she’s more accepting of herself. "I've been able to really be open about my own sexuality and just learn so much more about myself. I've always been very accepting of other people, but not of myself. And it's one of those places that you're, like, deconstructing and reconstructing all these things that you've been taught growing up, you know? I'm really happy to be in a safe place like that."

3. She Has Support

Hanratty says that she is lucky to have a supportive family. She revealed to POPSugar that her mother helped her out of a rough time. "I definitely went down a rocky path for a second," Hanratty says. "I was struggling a lot with my drinking. And I went down what could have been a really bad path, and thankfully, I snapped out of it pretty quickly. And I have a mom who's like, 'You need to get your sh*t together.'"

4. She Takes Medication

Showtime's FYC Event And Premiere For "The First Lady" - ArrivalsAlberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images

Hanratty is open about taking medication and going to therapy. "I started seeing a therapist out there, which was great, but I was like, 'I need something else,'" she says to POPSugar. "And so, it was the first time that I really talked to a doctor about getting on an antianxiety medication, so I'm now on Zoloft. And it's helped in the sense that I don't realize it's helped, but I also don't have panic attacks every day.”

5. She Spends Time Outside

Hanratty loves to spend time outside. She revealed in this Instagram post that being outside helps with her mental wellbeing. “I just started new anti anxiety meds, and so far so good. A couple of bumps in the road, but that’s to be expected when transitioning to new meds. Being out in nature has really helped me this week while my body acclimates.”

Ella Purnell is channeling Pamela Anderson’s Baywatch look! The star, whose show Yellowjackets aired its season finale on Sunday (she plays Jackie, the Queen Bee of the high school), showed off her fabulous figure in a red swimsuit on Instagram this week, captioning it “went to Barbados and all I got was this stupid tan.” How does the 25-year-old prioritize health and wellness? Read on to see 5 ways Ella Purnell takes care of herself both mentally and physically and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Avoids Seafood

Purnell doesn’t eat anything from under the sea, and when she was filming the show Sweetbitter, it was sort of a problem. “I have a stomach condition where I can’t eat certain foods, which is really convenient when you get cast as a lead in a food show,” she told Decider. “There was one oyster scene that was the most important scene in the whole season. They’re like, ‘You have to eat an oyster.’ I was like ‘If I eat an oyster, I’m taking two weeks off work because I will be so sick.'”

2. She Hikes

The young actress seems to enjoy outdoor activities, like hitting the beach and hiking. She recently shared a photo from one of her adventures, enjoying a hike in Canada where Yellowjackets was filmed

3. She Roller Skates

Purnell also loves to roller skate and fills her Instagram feeds with photos and videos on herself rolling around. “A chilled morning skate with the eagles in the mountains of Vancouver Island // lately I’ve been focusing on flow; just getting smoother with those transitions and filler moves like disco spins and dips. Still struggling to balance with that heal toe spin at the end but getting better at coming out of them without landing on my ass!” she captioned a recent video.

4. She Has Battled Anxiety and Depression

Vulture Festival 2021David Livingston/Getty Images

“I have anxiety and have had depression in the past,” she told the Evening Standard. “When I was 15 or 16 I had a bad experience at school — some issues with other classmates and somebody I was seeing, we don’t need to go into it. I started self-harming and did that for a long time until my mum caught me and I started to learn about it [mental health].” Ella admits she misunderstood depression up until that point. “Self-harm is not about attention — I hid [my scars] for six months, wore long T-shirts, covered them up with make-up. It’s about punishing yourself, for people who dislike themselves or suffer from insecurity or self-doubt,” she continued. "I still have the scars and it’s something that I did that I will always regret: it hurt a lot of people around me and it’s on my body forever.”

5. She Reads

Premiere Of Showtime's "Yellowjackets"Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images

Ella is a big reader. “With a good book,” she responded when asked by Conde Nast Traveler how she relaxes. “I’m reading Raven Black by Ann Cleeves right now, and I think I just predicted the ending. Although I do quite often predict them wrong, so I’ll keep reading.’

On the Showtime hit series Yellowjackets, every one of the young stars is a breakout. But one may look more familiar than others: Ella Purnell has been working since age 9, appearing in films like Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Army of the Dead, as well as the TV series Sweetbitter. Now, the 25-year-old Brit (yes, she’s British!) is finally getting the mega-fans she deserves. And she took a trip to Barbados to decompress. “I made my mum take these,” she captioned some photos of her in a blue bathing suit. “STOP IT,” commented her costar Sophie Nélisse. “Stop. STOOOP.” Added Melanie Lynskey, also of the show: “Hahaha (also GOOD LORD you are gorgeous!!!)” Read on to see 5 ways Ella Purnell stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Works Out, Sometimes With Her Mom

“Working out with mama!” Purnell captioned a pic of the two in a gym. “Exercise and physical activity can be enjoyable. They give you a chance to unwind, enjoy the outdoors or simply engage in activities that make you happy. Physical activity can also help you connect with family or friends in a fun social setting,” says the Mayo Clinic. “So take a dance class, hit the hiking trails or join a soccer team. Find a physical activity you enjoy, and just do it. Bored? Try something new, or do something with friends or family.”

2. She Trained for an Action Movie

Vulture Festival 2021David Livingston/Getty Images

For the movie Army of the Dead: “I went to the gym and did boxing lessons with my stepdad, but I’m just not that way inclined. I’ve got the upper-body strength of a spoon and I’m not very coordinated. I’d get told off because if I try to look cool, I’m doing something else weird with my limbs. When I was running, if I’m holding my gun with one hand, I’m doing gun hands with the other [laughs]. We spent time with these two nice ex-army dudes. They taught us how to shoot, move as a team and have each other’s backs,” she told Vogue.

3. Here are Sage Words About Mental Health

Premiere Of Showtime's "Yellowjackets"Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images

“I didn’t realise that with this support system that I’ve relied on to be there for me—my friends and family who love me and who I love—sometimes you have to tell them you love them. Now what I’m finding interesting is choosing how to spend my time and the people I surround myself with, and how that has a direct impact on my mental health. I had some big talks this year. I’ve got friends of 15 years and we haven’t had a deep conversation in five or six years. Time doesn’t stop like that very often and it won’t stop in the future, so it’s about taking that time out to do that,” she told Vogue.

4. This Was Her Comfort During the Early Days of the Pandemic

White,Chocolate,And,Raspberry,MuffinShutterstock

“White chocolate and raspberry muffins! [laughs] I was based in Los Angeles for the majority of lockdown. I was reading through my journal a couple of nights ago, and I was like, ‘Wow!’ I grew up. A lot of stuff went down in my personal life and I had to find hobbies. I’ve been working since I was nine years old. I feel like I was sort of deficient in other parts of my life. My relationships got stronger. I discovered that I love plants, painting and writing poetry. I went camping for a month in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. I learned a lot about myself and overcame some demons,” she told Vogue.

5. Here’s Her Take on Jackie and Shauna’s Relationship

On Yellowjackets, Purnell’s character and ’s character has an intense relationship, sharing secrets but hiding others, supportive while also undermining. "I think Jackie and Shauna are in deep-friend love…. Maybe some of the dynamics between them are a little more complicated because there’s a lot of jealousy and possession and codependence. And that comes up a lot in female friendships."

Yellowjackets star Sophie Nélisse is on vacation, and it’s somewhere way, way warmer than the Canadian wilderness (where her hit show is set). Nélisse—who plays young Shauna on the Showtime smash—shared a photo of her in a blue bathing suit, walking between two rows of what looks like a tropical hotel. We’re guessing it’s from Holbox, Quintana Roo, Mexico, from which she’s been sharing photos all week. “Vamos,” she captioned it, adding a pineapple emoji; in English, that’s “let’s go.” How does the 21-year-old approach her life and character? 1. She Was a Gymnast

“[Gymnastics] taught me about discipline,” she told Teen Vogue. “You have to repeat a routine a hundred times to get it right, and when you do gymnastics you have to block out everything around you." “Gymnasts require stamina and good cardiovascular health,” sports medicine specialist Marie Schaefer, MD tells the Cleveland Clinic “Exercises that get your heart pumping are beneficial both during and between competition seasons.”

2. She Was Intrigued by the Psychology of the Series

Vulture Festival 2021David Livingston/Getty Images

Yellowjackets captured her right on the page. The show "touches many different genres but I do love that it taps into horror a little bit but also psychological thriller because I love to see the progression of these girls as they're stuck in the wilderness—like, how it affects your mental health and the extremes that they end up going through because they've been stuck there for so long and how some friendships with the girls that were together before the plane crash, how it will affect is friendships and they'll fall apart and how other relationships will come together and some girls will grow together,” she told Sky Atlantic. “But even though it's very dark and it's very intense, there is also some lightness to it and some funny moments specially with like the older cast. You can tell they have trauma that has all of them throughout the years but there's also some funny moments and there's some loving moments also in there.”

3. She Has an “Inner Strength,” Says Her Co-Star

"47 Meters Down: Uncaged" Press ConferenceVera Anderson/WireImage

Yellowjackets star Melanie Lynskey—who plays the adult Shauna—looked for commonalities in their performance. “Sophie has more directness in her manner. I feel like I’m quite apologetic. I mean, I’m from New Zealand and we’re all basically apologizing for our existence with every word we speak. We’re like, ‘Aw, sorry but here’s what I think.’ My own sort of energy is not quite as direct and confident as Sophie’s, and it was something that I really loved about her and I thought, ‘This is an interesting thing to try to have Shauna be a little bit more good with eye contact, a little bit stronger, not so sort of [hunched] with her body, but a bit more confident with her body,’ because there was something in Sophie that’s like an inherent strength, which I think is really nice for the character,” she told Collider.

4. Her Character Has an “Underlying Power” Also

2019 Toronto International Film Festival - "The Rest Of Us" PremiereRobin Marchant/Getty Images

We were “finding things that Melanie and I had in common with Shauna,” Nélisse told the Washington Post. “Which mostly is this underlying power that she doesn’t have [at first] that really progresses.” The character Shauna is “in this constant struggle [to] accept her darker side, the darkness I think she doesn’t want to admit that she has, that kind of scares her almost, at times. … I think there’s this constant conflict [between] being herself and being who people want her to be.”

5. As for the Show, She Doesn’t Know How it Ends

Vulture Festival 2021 - Day 1Rich Fury/Getty Images

“We know very little about the end, even how they got rescued and how many people died. Are they the only four other than Travis? Are there more? Maybe there are other people that we’re not aware of. We know so little. There’s so much to uncover,” she told Hollywood Life.

In her latest Instagram post, Sharvari showcased her grit with a hardcore beach workout, flipping a massive tire in the sand. Adding a playful pun to her caption, she wrote, “Never tyre’d of a good beach workout.”
So, how does she stay in such incredible shape? From strength training to boxing, here’s a look at her go-to fitness moves.

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Sharvari is seen doing a strength training exercise. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to burn calories.”

She Boxes

Another thing that Sharvari does to keep herself in shape is box. She first picked this up when training for the film, Vedaa. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself punching a bag. Sharvari captioned the post, “BEAST MODE on for Vedaa! ⚠️☠️🥊 Took up boxing to become Vedaa... Now I am ready to pack a punch or be strong enough to take a brutal beating 💪#Vedaa coming to a theatre near you on August 15th.”

She Runs

Sharvari likes to run to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself running on the beach. She captioned the post, “Decided to seas the day!” Better Health says that running is very beneficial. “Regular running or jogging offers many health benefits. Running can: help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise, strengthen muscles, improve cardiovascular fitness, burn plenty of kilojoules, help maintain a healthy weight.”

Natasa Stankovic in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Wednesday Challenge"

Stankovic shares her go-to workout moves, from squats to lunges, cardio, Pilates, and strength training.

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
