Nélisse is a former gymnast, and she says that this has helped her in her acting career. She says that gymnastics helped give her the discipline she needs to succeed at the things she does. “[Gymnastics] taught me about discipline,” she says to Teen Vogue. “You have to repeat a routine a hundred times to get it right, and when you do gymnastics you have to block out everything around you."
