She Makes Anxiety Work for Her

"I came into this world with anxiety," she says. "I used to hold my breath from anxiety when I was a baby and it would make me faint. There are times when it's debilitating, and there are times when it makes me laugh, like in the car today when I lost the plot entirely. But I actually feel like my superpower is my anxiety. It's one of my key motivators, and it's at the center of my ambition," Zoey told Cosmo

Zoey loves Maybelle, her pit bull. "It was literally love at first sight. I saw her and I was like, This is God in dog form. I've never seen anything so good in my life. We do not deserve this creature," Zoey told Cosmo. "Research has shown that simply petting a dog lowers the stress hormone cortisol , while the social interaction between people and their dogs actually increases levels of the feel-good hormone oxytocin (the same hormone that bonds mothers to babies)," says Johns Hopkins.

"If you wake up feeling puffy or just notice that your skin is especially dull — say, after a night of drinking, eating poorly or not sleeping well — facial icing might be the right morning move for you," says the Cleveland Clinic. "The same lymphatic drainage that reduces overall puffiness can specifically reduce the appearance of a puffy under-eye area." "Gently icing under the eyes can help release fluid buildup, drain toxins and cause a tightening effect," Aesthetician Lori Scarso says.

She Takes These Vitamins

Zoey taks Source Naturals Wellness Formula Bio-Aligned Vitamins & Herbal Defense, she told the Cut. "What your mother said about beauty coming from the inside is completely true. You need to heal yourself from the inside; you can't just use products for your skin to look and feel your best. This wellness formula was a real game changer for me. I have a tricky, funky immune system, and I also travel a lot, which just doesn't help. I am that person who is always hand-sanitizing and wiping down my airplane seat. I get colds and flus very easily; if I don't take proper precautions, I'm sick every couple of months. But taking this formula has really helped. I take six capsules a day — three in the morning and three at night. It's sort of like a one-stop shop for me, because it contains the right combination of herbs and antioxidants and vitamins and minerals to boost my immune system."

She Loves Seltzer

Says our sister site Eat This, Not That!: "Is seltzer the champagne of water? In the new study, carbonation increased participants' overall liking of the beverages they tested. That's because, as the study's authors explain, the participants 'identified they like mouthfeel and flavour-enhancing qualities of carbonated beverages.' Moreover, they 'associated them with special events.'"
