Priyanka Chopra first started out in 2000, when she won that year’s Miss World pageant. She then worked as an actress in India. She then became an American household name in 2016, when she starred in the ABC drama, Quantico. Chopra is currently starring in the Amazon Prime series, Citadel. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Priyanka Chopra stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Has A Good Metabolism

Chopra shared some of her diet and exercise tips with E! News. She admits that a big part of wellness is her genes. "I have great Indian genes! You know, I'm lazy. I want to take advantage of the fact that I have a great metabolism. When I start getting fat I'll work on it! I like food, and I don't like the gym, and as long as I look like this without doing anything, why bother?"

2. She’s Comfortable

Chopra is all about being comfortable with herself. She says to E! News that this applies to what she chooses to wear and how she looks. "You need to feel comfortable. When you're comfortable, you feel confident. And when you're confident, the world is your oyster. Most important, you gotta feel what you wear."

3. She Removes Her Makeup

Chopra shared some of her skincare secrets with Vogue. She says that she always makes sure to take off her makeup. “I’m all about good skincare. If you have good skin – a good base – you can wear as much or as little make-up as you want. Your skin is the foundation to being able to express yourself through make-up. I think it’s important to take off all your make-up at the end of the night so there’s nothing, no mascara or remnants of the day. It’s a therapeutic process for me. If I need to take off make-up (like mascara) that isn’t easy to remove with just a face wash, I use a Shiseido make-up remover that’s super gentle and removes it all.”

4. She Keeps Her Skin Moisturized

Chopra makes sure to keep her skin moisturized, especially when she’s traveling. "Every day, especially when I'm traveling in the airport and stuff and you're feeling tired, you have to make sure you look perked up," she said to E! News. "So hydrating the face, which is moisturizing. I always put a SK2 hydration mask on my face 20 minutes before I land."

5. She Swims

Chopra shared her favorite workout with Vogue. “I’m not someone who does very well in classes, but I swim,” she says. “I do 15 to 20 laps. It boosts my mood and I feel super energetic and ready to go.” The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”

6. She Eats Healthy

Chopra makes sure to eat healthy. She shared her approach to eating in an interview with The Times of India. "My daily diet consists of regular food like chapati, vegetables, soups, salads, rice, dal and lots of fruits. Also juices and water are very high on my intake list. In fact, water is a must for everyone, at least 10 glasses a day. I often overshoot that, but it does wonders to your skin."

7. She Isn’t Focusing on Weight Loss

Chopra shared her approach to fitness in her Times of India interview. She says that she is focused on working out, rather than losing weight. “I am not a gym-freak,” she admits. “But do work out regularly to keep the body well-toned. The idea is to keep fit and healthy and not shrink myself by two or three sizes.”

Jennifer Lawrence's 7 Ways to Stay Your Fittest

Here’s her no-diet approach to fitness.

Jennifer Lawrence is known for her down-to-earth and decidedly non-Hollywood approach to health and fitness—and she’s open about the hard work it takes to transform for roles. Lawrence, 32, is focused on workouts and not dieting, feeling good over feeling restricted and has no interest in real-life Hunger Games. Pizza will always be part of her diet, but she makes it work. Here’s how the actress stays her fittest—and happiest.

1. Feelgood Endorphins

"Causeway" European Premiere - 66th BFI London Film FestivalGareth Cattermole/Getty Images

Lawrence genuinely loves how exercise makes her feel. “I hate saying, ‘I like exercising’,” she says. ‘But it's nice being in shape for a movie, because they basically do it all for you. It's like, ‘Here's your trainer. This is what you can eat’. I don't diet. I do exercise! But I don't diet. You can't work when you're hungry, you know?”

2. No Restrictive Dieting

Homemade,Margherita,Pizza,Healthy,Plate,Close,UpShutterstock

Balance is key for Lawrence when it comes to her diet, both during shoots and in her down time. “I don’t like when people say, ‘I only do this or eat this,’” she says. “Because I eat. I’m not very strict with my diet: If I want a piece of pizza, I eat a piece of pizza. For me, it’s easier to put that extra effort into the gym instead of putting the extra effort into: Oh no, I can’t eat that.’”

3. Yoga Sessions To Cap the Day

90th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsKevork Djansezian/Getty Images

Trainer Dalton Wong worked with Lawrence on the X-Men movies, and says she would finish each day with yoga. “It's just to help relieve the body so you can sleep better but also be able to be more resilient and be able to train and work the next day,” he says in his book The Feelgood Plan. “Inhale through the nose, filling your lower belly, lower rib cage, then up to your chest and throat. Exhale through the nose for a count of three. Keep a steady rhythm as you repeat the movement.”

4. Pilates and Weight Training

Black,Dumbbell,Set.,Close,Up,Many,Metal,Dumbbells,On,Rack, weightsShutterstock

Professional dance coach Kurt Froman trained with Lawrence for her role as a dancer in Red Sparrow. “I worked with Jen six days a week, three hours a day for three months,” he says. “As well as doing cross training in the form of Pilates, or toning and weight-training, or gyrotonics… Weight training and doing a lot of cardio is very good. The human body is amazing when it comes to support – we have to fully shock it. It’s about constantly diversifying your workout.”

5. Gyrotonics Sessions

2022 Toronto International Film Festival - "Causeway" PremiereAmy Sussman/Getty Images

Gyrotonics was a core part of Lawrence's dance training. “Gyrotonics is really amazing for strengthening the upper body,” Froman says. “It’s a form of Pilates based on functional strength through rhythmic movements. It’s similar to ballet because it’s very lengthening and you’re constantly using your breath, and it requires a lot of core work as well.”

6. Healthy Snacks

Hummus,With,Vegetables,And,Snacks,On,A,Wooden,Board,,VeganShutterstock

Lawrence likes to keep healthy, delicious snacks on hand. "In Jennifer's trailer, we would always have some full-fat Greek yogurt, some dark chocolate, some hummus and vegetables," Wong says. "It's always food that is working for us rather than against us."

7. She Works Hard For Physique

Lawrence says society has a skewed perspective of what ‘normal’ looks like. “Everybody says, ‘We love that there is somebody with a normal body!’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t feel like I have a normal body … I do Pilates every day,” she says. “I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person. I think we’ve gotten so used to underweight that when you are a normal weight, it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s curvy.’ Which is crazy. The bare minimum, just for me, would be to up the ante.”

Kate Winslet has been the poster child for strong, curvy women since bursting into superstardom with her role in the 1997 blockbuster movie Titanic. Winslet, 47, has a down-to-earth approach to health and wellness that focuses on energy, happiness, and real beauty. So how exactly does she stay so strong and maintain her physique? Here’s what her diet and exercise regimen looks like.

1. Yoga and Cardio

73rd Primetime Emmy Awards - ArrivalsRich Fury/Getty Images

Winslet enjoys a variety of workouts to help keep herself happy and healthy. “Power yoga class a couple of times a week, some barre, cardio, and we have a dog, so I love going on walks,” she says. “I drink lots and lots of water! I’m really trying to be healthy.”

2. At-Home Pilates

Winslet likes working out in the peace and quiet of her home when possible. “I have a mat and little hand weights and I do a stomach thing and a bum thing. It’s very simple – you barely break into a sweat,” she says. “Here’s what’s so great about it: no one’s looking at you, no one’s telling you what to do or work harder or anything like that. I know it seems slightly tragic but it’s my way of exercising in a time-efficient way.”

3. Lots of Juicing

Green,Juice,From,AboveShutterstock

Winslet drinks plenty of green juice she makes at home from fresh vegetables. “Our fridge is always full of spinach, kale, cucumbers,” she says. “I’m vegetarian and my husband is vegan, so there’s a lot of plant-based focus in our home. My husband turning vegan is relatively recent, so that’s been a really fun education because you have to learn to be a little more inventive with foods.”

4. Her Beauty and Wellness Mantra

Photocall for "Avatar: The Way of Water" At The Corinthia LondonGareth Cattermole/Getty Images

Winslet believes in the power of good habits to ensure optimum wellness. “Beauty in your 40s is about depth and experience. And good habits,” she says. “Drink lots of water. Get outdoors as much as you can. Also, I exercise a lot and that makes an enormous difference in terms of endorphins and skin health.”

5. Portion Control

Isolate,Cookie,On,White,Background,,With,Clipping,Path.Shutterstock

Winslet refuses to diet, but is sensible about indulging in treats. “When it comes to dieting, I just don't care,” she says. “I watch myself as much as any average woman does, you know? I'll eat one cookie, not a whole box of cookies. But I'll still eat the one cookie...sometimes two, or even three. But not the whole box.”

6. No Scales, Ever

Bathroom,Scales,On,White,Background,,Top,View.,Weight,Loss,ConceptShutterstock

Winslet refuses to weigh herself, instead focusing on overall health. The actress relies on a healthy diet and regular exercise to look and feel good. “I don’t know how much I weigh, I haven’t weighed myself in 12 years,” she says. “Top tip: it’s a great move.”

7. Health For Beauty

"Avatar: The Way Of Water" World Premiere – ArrivalsKarwai Tang/Getty Images

Winslet knows that exercise and diet make a huge impact on appearance. “These days, I’m a little more health-conscious in terms of thinking about the next 10 years of my life,” she says. “[I] want to maximize my physical strength and keep my skin good without doing anything to my face. I do believe that beauty and wellness really reflects in your face, in your eyes, and how you feel. It goes hand in hand with elegance as well. I think a woman that looks well and confident is innately elegant.”

Parineeti Chopra is dedicated to her craft—the actress deliberately put on over 30 pounds for her role in the Netflix movie Chamkila, and now she’s working hard to burn it off again. Chopra shared a video of herself wearing neon workout gear, doing strength training exercises at the gym. “I spent 6 months last year singing in Rahman sir’s studio, and going back home to eat as much junk as I possibly could to put on 15 KILOS for Chamkila! (Coming soon on Netflix 😍) Music and Food. That was my routine. Now that the film is done, the story is the opposite. I miss the studio, and work in the gym trying to look like myself again. And not like Amarjot ji! It's been hard. But anything for you Imtiaz sir! And this role 😍Many more inches to go. 💪,” she captioned the post. Here’s what Chopra’s diet, exercise, and wellness looks like.

1. Strength Training

Chopra’s workout routine is detailed on her social media—the actress is burning fat and building lean muscle with strength training at the gym. “I think weights are great if you have access to those things, if you have a gym membership or have things in your home that you can use,” Aaron Lowry, PT, tells University of Utah Health Library. “But even if you don't, using your body weight, like your own body's weight against gravity is a great way to start. And if you're someone who's not particularly conditioned already, you don't need a lot of weight to have the effects that you want to have happen in your body, as in getting stronger, feeling better, looking better, etc.”

2. No Bland Diets

Chopra struggled to lose weight in the past, but a visit to an Austrian clinic for testing revealed the actress should avoid certain foods such as milk and eggs. “It would have been really easy for me to starve myself and eat bland food to lose weight,” she told ELLE India. “But I can’t do that forever, my attention span is very short. What I’m doing now is more long-term. Now I know which foods suit me and which ones are harder to digest. I plan my meals accordingly. People ask me what I’ve given up and the answer is nothing, I eat everything but I know how to balance it out now.”

3. Martial Arts Workouts

Chopra was not immune to the dangers of the ‘freshman 15’, returning to India from London unhappy with her physique. “I started doing kalaripayattu with a trainer who would come home,” she told ELLE India. “It’s a martial art form and all it requires is an empty room. Once I lost weight, I started going to the gym again because now I feel like it. My workouts are more focused now. I want to achieve a particular shape and tone specific muscles. It’s fun. You feel so much better about yourself and when people react, you feel even better.”

4. Scuba Diving

Chopra’s favorite thing about traveling around the world is experiencing the kindness of strangers. “I am a scuba diver and the basic nature of the sport is for me to be able to meet strangers and spend time with them and be able to learn from different cultures,” she told Lifestyle Asia. “I feel like even if you don’t speak the language – I’ve stayed in jungle accommodations and I’ve stayed on beaches and I’ve stayed on boats and trekked in places that nobody goes – you’ll be surprised to see how much kindness there is in the world. Just strangers helping you out and putting you up in their houses, giving you a meal, helping you carry your bag when there is no network, no proper roads, etc.”

5. Empathy and Meditation

Chopra has learned to be philosophical about any negative experiences in her life. “If you are empathetic and you understand the other point of view, you never get angry,” she told Lifestyle Asia. “I remember when I was really young, whenever I would get angry, I would feel a lot of guilt afterwards. And over the years I started meditating, and it helped me a lot. Now I don’t have to protect that moment because I very naturally do not react to things.”

1. Carrie Underwood: Count Macros Instead of Calories

2021 CMT Music Awards - Red CarpetGetty Images

Country darling Carrie Underwood ditched calorie counting and instead started keeping track of macros. “I would ‘fall off the wagon,’ then feel terrible and repeat the cycle,” she explained to Women’s Health about her struggles with trying to stay slim in her younger years, sometimes eating as few as 800 calories per day. “Your body is screaming ‘I need more calories. I need more carbs!’" The “wannabe vegan” works with nutritionist Cara Clark, focusing on maintaining a healthy balance of 25 percent protein, 45 percent carbs and 30 percent fat. "I love rules," she admitted to Women’s Health.

2. Jennifer Lopez: Work Out “Harder and Smarter”

Jennifer Lopez has adapted her fitness regiment over the years. However, instead of working out more, she is smarter about her workouts. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now. It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter,” she told InStyle. “And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

3. Vanessa Hudgens: Work Out with Others

Vanessa Hudgens can afford to pay a personal trainer for one-on-one workouts, but opts for group fitness and workout buddies instead. "I'm the type of person that needs to be in a class," Vanessa told Popsugar. "I need someone telling me what to do, and I love being in a group environment because I'm very competitive, so it pushes me to work harder than I would if I was by myself." The 32-year-old is a devotee of The Dogpound, a hardcore boot camp style studio The Dogpound she regularly visits with her friends. "HOT GIRL SUMMER IN FULL EFFECT," the gym recently wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of sweating alongside GG Magree in an intense HIIT workout.

4. Rebel Wilson: Approach Weight Loss From All Sides...Including Emotional

2020 AACTA Awards Presented by Foxtel | Television Ceremony

Working out and eating right are only part of the equation to weight loss, per actress Rebel Wilson, who lost a whopping 60 pounds in less than a year. While she majorly revamped her diet and embarked on a fitness routine, it was the work she did on the instead that helped her achieve her goals. "I think because I approached it from all areas ... the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she told Extra.

5. Rita Ora: Focus On Strength, Not Weight Loss

Instead of trying to lose weight or get to a certain clothing size, Rita Ora suggests putting your focus on getting stronger. "I didn't start working out to get skinnier—I started working out to feel better. And I think it's important for women to know that,” she told Shape. “Don't be obsessed with being thin. You just have to be fit, healthy, and strong," she said. "I love my shape because it's curvy. I have thighs. I'm a size 28 in jeans. And that's an average, normal size. I'm proud that I'm normal."

6. Kate Hudson: Move a Little Every Day

Kate Hudson has always been devoted to fitness. One of her stay-fit secrets? She moves every day. "Now that Rani is getting a little bit older and her nap schedule is longer, I've been able to work out at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she told InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

7. Jessica Simpson: Get Your Steps In

Create & Cultivate Los AngelesGetty Images

After tipping the scales at 240 pounds during her pregnancy with third child, Birdie Mae, Jessica Simpson started walking her way to a 100-pound weight loss with the help of trainer Harley Pasternak. He started off by setting her goal at 6,000 steps and then eventually upping it to 14,000. "It had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight, but how do I keep whatever I am doing now forever. That's why we are not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise,” he told E! about the weight loss strategy he developed for the star, which also included healthy eating, sleep, and full body workouts. “Woke up before all 3 kiddos to get my steps in and spend time with me, myself, and I. Move move move for your own mental health,” she captioned a 2020 Instagram post.

8. Halle Berry: You Have to Commit

Halle Berry, 54, looks half her age. According to the star, her biggest secret to staying in shape is her commitment to healthy living, including workouts with her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, diet tips, and healthy living mantras. “You just have to have the will and the desire,” she told Harper’s Bazaar about what it takes to stay fit. “And you have to make up your mind that it's important. That's the hard work that people have to do."

9. Nicole Scherzinger: Everything in Moderation

FOX's The Masked Singer - Season FiveGetty Images

"Don't deprive yourself of anything because eventually you'll crave it and then you might binge on it. Everything in moderation," Nicole Scherzinger told Women's Health UK about her dietary rule. "For breakfast I love eggs and toast and smoked salmon or bacon, or porridge. For lunch I like maybe some soup or some sushi. For dinner, anything from pasta to rice, and meats and veggies, to sushi. When I'm going to indulge, I love pasta, pizza, I love Mexican with lots of cheese. I love French fries, or crisps – salt and vinegar crisps. In terms of snacks: almonds, coconut water, bits of coconut, baby carrots."

10. Gabrielle Union: Don’t Commit to One Workout Only

2021 Billboard Music Awards - BackstageGetty Images

Gabrielle Union allows her workout routine to evolve. "As the workout phases come and go, I'll try everything," she previously told Women's Health. "Nothing, not one thing, has stuck. I've tried kickboxing, cardio barre, I've tried a SoulCycle class...I'm not a class person." In a 2019 Instagram post, she also revealed that her motivations for exercise are also evolving. “There are times I workout for a job or specific athletic goals but usually I workout to maintain my peace. Sometimes i grunt, grimace, scream...many times I've cried while training. I've cried due to frustration. I've cried from physical pain. Many times I've cried as my fears and anxiety leave my body. For me, I'm always working out my spirit and exercising my soul. This morning felt like the end of a week of taking Ls, but today I got up and reminded myself that even when I lose, I win because I'm committed to learning and evolving,” she wrote.

Sharvari isn’t just making waves in the film industry—she’s dominating the fitness game too. Known for her roles in Munjya, Maharaj, and Vedaa, the rising star proves that strength and discipline extend far beyond the big screen.
In her latest Instagram post, Sharvari showcased her grit with a hardcore beach workout, flipping a massive tire in the sand. Dressed in a sleek black workout set, she didn’t just make the workout look effortless—she made it look empowering. Adding a playful pun to her caption, she wrote, “Never tyre’d of a good beach workout.”
So, how does she stay in such incredible shape? From strength training to boxing, here’s a look at her go-to fitness moves.

She Strength Trains

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. She Strength Trains

ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
