'Doesn't have to be high-intensity, doesn't have to be uphill, just moderate walking an hour a day. 'And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it's, like, the best way to lose unwanted body fat.'"
She's Easy On Herself
Wilson tells Apple Fitness+ that she does workouts that are easy on her. "I would train at the gym, you know even when I was at my heaviest, like hardcore and do weights and do things where you just feel absolutely exhausted afterwards, and I didn't actually need to be doing that. It just made me think: 'OK I should take it a bit easier on myself, and just do it gently and do it lightly.'"
She Holds Herself Accountable
In 2020, Wilson documented her journey to living a healthier life on social media. Her trainer, Jono Castano, tells Today that this was a way of helping her stay on track. "Don't just jump in your car, like even if it's Uber or whatever it is, think of different ways to get to your destination. Maybe it's a walk. I think that's a great thing as well because I'm a big believer that #45Daily, so include 45 minutes into your day where you are moving."
She Does A Variety Of Workouts
Castano broke down Wilson's typical workouts to E! News. He says that he made sure to do different things with Wilson. "A typical week will look like this—Day 1: HIIT and mobility, Day 2: weights and resistance, Day 3: HIIT, Day 4: HIIT, Day 5: HIIT and weights, Day 6: rest period, Day 7: HIIT. We focus on plenty of HIIT circuits, but at the same time, focusing on technique and tempo. And understanding that each exercise is vital when working at a quick capacity. Another element we focused on was resistance and mobility training to ensure we're covering all areas, including posture."
She Eats More Protein
In addition to working out, Wilson changed her diet. She shared some of the changes she made in an interview with People. "So, I've really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn't used to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast."
She Believes In Balance
Wilson tells People that she believes in eating a balanced diet. "I'm just trying to go for overall balance, overall healthy balance," she says. "I have this state of being, which is not my quote, but I go 'Nothing is forbidden.' We'll be like, 'Should we get In-N-Out burger?' And I'm like, 'Nothing is forbidden.' I can go there, I just might eat half of what I used to eat before. You know? And I'll have a burger, and a few fries, and then you feel fine."
