1. She Carb Cycles

Johansson made sure to get in shape for every Marvel movie she starred in. Her trainer, Eric Johnson, shared some of her secrets with Harper’s Bazaar. With her diet, Johannson turned to carb cycling. “She cycled through days of high carbohydrates and low fat consumption, versus low carbohydrates and higher fat while maintaining protein intake.”

2. She Works Hard

Johnson opened up about Johansson’s fitness routine to Harper’s Bazaar. He says that the actress has a strong work ethic. Johnson says that he focused more on how the actress performed when working out. “We treated the process like an athlete preparing for competition,” Johnson reveals. “By placing more emphasis on her performance, her physique just followed.

3. She Has Support

Johansson opened up about the process of designing her skincare line with TODAY. She says that she has a lot of support from other skincare pros. "[The beauty industry] really has been so welcoming. People are very supportive, especially other female founders have been so supportive of our place in the community, we all share a lot of information.”

4. She Uses Organic Ingredients

Johansson’s skincare line is all organic. "It's really connected with people," Johansson says to TODAY. "Our products, we make them as user friendly as possible and try to eliminate as many harmful ingredients, so that as many people can use them. And I think that kind of universal approach to skin care and gentle approach to skin care has really allowed a lot of people to play with the product and have success with it."

5. She Moisturizes Her Skin

Johansson talked about her skincare routine to TODAY. She says that keeping her skin moisturized is important. "What actually got me out of that decade cycle, was [saying] OK, I'm just gonna stop everything, I'm going to stop all the actives and I'm just going to gently exfoliate my skin and moisturize every day," Johansson said. "And I realized actually putting moisture back into my skin was what it needed, because my skin barrier was so imbalanced."

6. She Makes Time For Herself

Johansson has a busy schedule. However, she always makes time for herself. “I’ve recently made a commitment to myself to spend more time seeing my friends,” she says to Oprah Daily. “I can get very swept away with work and motherhood and family, but a big part of my mental wellness is just spending quality time with my girlfriends. That time with them is soul food.”

7. She Wants To Encourage Her Kids

Johansson has two children, and she wants to encourage them. She opened up about this to Oprah Daily. “With or without social media, kids can be cruel, and I think every parent worries about how their child’s ego is going to be affected by the outside world. I’ve been very conscious about not using certain words at home that feel degrading to myself in front of my kids, which is hard to do, but I’m very mindful about that and it makes a difference. It really starts at home with me.”

Lucy Hale is an actress and singer. She’s best known for her role as Aria Montgomery on the ABC Family/Freeform drama series, Pretty Little Liars. Her other roles include Katy Keane and A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song. Hale recently hit the gym with some friends. She shared a photo of the group on her Instagram story. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lucy Hale stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Eats Healthy

Hale shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with People. She makes sure to eat healthy. “I mainly follow a pescatarian diet,” Hale says. “I don’t even like to say diet, just a pescatarian lifestyle. I don’t do dairy and I try to cut back on processed stuff. I typically like to prepare all my food so I know what I’m getting.”

2. She Knows What Works For Her Skin

Hale shared her skincare secrets in an interview with Glamour. She says that she made sure to do research on what works best for her skin. “I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to use the products that people with dry skin would use,” she says. “I wanted to use everything, so I’d just use all the products, not knowing I was going to have a reaction. Now I know I have combination skin, which is oily in some parts and dry in some parts, and that’s what leads to the breakouts.”

3. She Has A Simple Skincare Routine

For Hale, simplicity is best when it comes to her skincare routine. “I used to have a 20-step skin-care routine, and I loved that,” she told Glamour. “But now, simple and consistent is the way to go. I have a very, very, very simple routine. It’s just about letting my skin breathe when I can. I used to think because I would break out that I shouldn’t add more moisture, but when your skin’s dry, it’s going to try to take care of you and produce more oil, and that’s what leads to breakouts.”

4. She Uses Hyaluronic Acid

Liquid,Pipette,Serum,Pink,Gel,On,Light,Berry,Colored,MirrorShutterstock

Hale shared some of her favorite skincare products with Glamour. “I love hyaluronic acid, always, always, always, but I didn’t realize it needs to be used on damp skin. Otherwise it doesn’t seep into the skin. Now I put it on right after the shower. With other products, I’ll avoid certain places. I put certain things here, certain things there. But with hyaluronic acid, I know that it’s good for my whole face.”

5. She Drinks A Wellness Powder

HaleLucy Hale/Instagram

Hale shared with Glamour that she likes to drink wellness powder. “I have a wellness powder that I have in the morning before anything else touches my stomach, before coffee or breakfast. It’s from ActivatedYou. My friend Maggie Q. actually started the line with a doctor. It’s a green powder with all the pro- and prebiotics that you need for the day. I also was not educated about gut health until recently. I don’t know why it never crossed my mind that what you’re putting in your stomach has a direct effect with your body, but it does. I’ve really noticed a difference in my skin. I used to get really clogged around here, like on my jawline, and since I started that in my morning routine, it’s really helped.”

Emma Watson is one of the most famous actresses of all time. She rose to fame as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series. She also starred in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Beauty & The Beast as Belle. Watson also played Meg in Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women, and Sam Button in The Perks of Being A Wallflower. Watson is also a prominent feminist and activist. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Emma Watson stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Loves Baths With Oils

Prada Fall/Winter 2024 Womenswear Fashion Show – Arrivals and Front RowVittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images

Watson shared some of her beauty and self-care secrets in an interview with Into The Gloss. “I have a bath every single day of my life,” she says. “And if I can have two or three—amazing. Nothing terrible is going to happen in the bath, so I always find time for that. I’ll take phone conversations in the bath, anything. Sometimes I’ll use Epsom salts and oils, but my favorite is the C.O Bigelow Apothecary Cold and Flu Soak. Oh my God, it’s amazing! It has eucalyptus and peppermint and bark and Echinacea and ginger… If you’re sick, it’s the ultimate. It clears out my sinuses and makes me feel really clean. Another brand I use a lot of is called Lola’s Apothecary. They do this incredible milk bath with rose petals that’s inspired by Cleopatra. Amazing. Then there’s a brand called French Girl Organics that has this great Sea Polish which exfoliates and leaves you moisturized afterwards. I like that because it eliminates a step after the bath.”

2. She Makes Breakfast Burritos

Prada Spring/Summer 2024 Womenswear Fashion Show - Arrivals And Front RowVittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images

Watson loves to cook, and she often makes healthy food. She loves to make healthy breakfast burritos in the morning. “I make guacamole, salsa and scrambled eggs, and then I cook the tortilla,” she tells Marie Claire US. “It’s pretty simple, really, but yummy.”

3. She Keeps Her Skin Hydrated

Celebrity Sightings In Milan - September 22, 2023MEGA/GC Images via Getty Images

Watson has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her favorite products in her Into The Gloss Interview. She says that she aims to keep her skin moisturized. “My skin tends to run pretty dry, so I use the Évolué Gentle Cleanser and Firming Toner because it doesn’t have tons of alcohol in it or make your skin sting, but it really does the job. And then I switch up my moisturizers depending on what issue I’m trying to address. I use the MV Organics Rose Plus Booster a lot and also their Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturiser. If my skin is feeling a bit sun-damaged or congested, I like their 9 Oil Cleansing Tonic, but I’ve never been big on masks!”

4. She Washes Her Face Every Night

Watson makes sure to wash her face each night, and explained the importance of this to Into The Gloss. “No matter what, I always wash my face at night. I could get back from a shoot at 4 AM and still cleanse, tone, and moisturize before going to bed. People are amazed by this, but it’s just one of those self-care practices that I really enjoy. I think it’s because, when I was going through puberty—particularly around ages 14 and 15—I had really bad skin. So when you get in a good place with your skin, you really appreciate it and try to take care of it.”

5. She Embraces Her Natural Features

The Soho House AwardsGilbert Flores/WWD via Getty Images

Watson tells Into The Gloss that she has come to accept herself in recent years, and wants to highlight her natural features. “The object for me when applying makeup is you should be able to see as much skin as possible,” she says. “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve embraced my freckles much more and I want to be able to see them. When we were filming Beauty and the Beast, I insisted on keeping my freckles as a part of the movie. There are so many young girls who are going through puberty who really hate having them, so I felt the need to say that I have them and that I think the look of natural skin is beautiful. I didn’t want to get blanked out!”

6. She’s Happy

evian VIP Suite At Wimbledon 2023 - Day 14Dave Benett/Getty Images

In an interview with Vogue, Watson talked about being a child actor. She says that she feels at peace with herself now, and made sure to stay sane. “I’ll let other people be the judge, but I feel sane, and feel normal and myself. I think I’m the most proud of that. Because sometimes I look at it all, and I go, ‘I was lucky to come out the other side of that.’”

7. She Stepped Away From The Spotlight

evian VIP Suite At Wimbledon 2023 - Day 13Dave Benett/Getty Images

In an interview with Vogue, Watson talked about stepping away from acting. "I'm just so glad that I did [step away from acting] because I have this feeling of having my own voice and creative space and sovereignty in some way that I don't think I did before -- more autonomy. I'm so glad that I allowed things to be messy for a minute and to really allow myself to not know [what's next], because the knowing that I've come to, I wouldn't trade that for anything.”

Karanikolaou has amazing skin. She opened up about her process to Byrdie. “My routine has changed over time as I’ve become more educated on different products and things that work best for my skin. I’m more cautious about using products that will help with the issues I have, instead of just applying any product. I got into skincare after high school when I started watching a lot of YouTube videos about it. I found a dermatologist that I trusted who helped me with problems and questions I had with my skin.

Karanikolaou likes to use organic skincare products. She tells Byrdie that she thinks they are healthier for her skin. “I also pay attention to ‘clean’ products. It's important [to me] because I've been learning the serious health and environmental consequences that can happen if certain ingredients are found in products.”

Gemma Chan is a very successful actress. She is best known for her roles in the films Marvel’s Eternals, Don’t Worry Darling, Disney’s Raya & The Last Dragon, and Crazy, Rich Asians. She recently enjoyed a vacation to Joali Being, and shared some highlights on Instagram. In them, Chan enjoyed time at the beach. She captioned the post, “Reset…Magical island.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Gemma Chan stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Preps Her Skin

Chan has amazing skin and makes sure to take care of it. She tells Marie Claire that skin prep is important to her. "For me, it's all about prepping the skin. If I've been travelling, had a late night or not had too much sleep, I get quite puffy. So using anything that's cold or that vibrates is good. I keep my face roller in the fridge and I have ice globes. I also have what I call my ‘eyebrator’. Anything like that is good to encourage lymphatic drainage [and reduce puffiness]—these tools are essentials for me.”

2. She Wears Sunscreen

US-ENTERTAINMENT-FILM-MUSEUM-GALAMichael Tran / AFP via Getty Images

Chan tells Marie Claire that she makes sure to protect her skin from the sun. "A good sunscreen is essential—especially during summer. My hands down favourite UV product is L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Clinical Vitamin C UV Fluid SPF 50. It only just came out in the UK but I first came across it when I was shooting in Thailand last year. I was like, ‘why do they not sell this in the UK?!’ and, thank God, they do now! It doesn't leave any white cast. It's really sheer and it doesn't leave me too shiny.”

3. She Does Pilates

Chan shared some of her fitness secrets in an interview with British Vogue. "I’ve just started Pilates which is brutal–so brutal, deceptively so. But I do enjoy that and I have a mini morning routine." Better Health states that Pilates has a lot of benefits. “Pilates can be an aerobic and non-aerobic form of exercise. It requires concentration and focus, because you move your body through precise ranges of motion. It requires concentration in finding a centre point to control your body through movement. Each exercise has a prescribed placement, rhythm and breathing pattern. In Pilates, your muscles are rarely worked to the point of exhaustion, so there is not always sweating or straining, just intense concentration. The workout consists of a variety of exercise sequences that are performed in low repetitions, usually five to ten times, over a session of 45 to 90 minutes. Floor based exercises performed on a mat and specialised equipment for resistance are often used.”

4. She’s Consistent With Skincare

In an interview with Women’s Weekly, Chan shared some of her skincare secrets. She says that she makes sure to be consistent with her routine. “My skincare routine isn’t that complicated. One of the first things my mum taught me was to never go to bed with your makeup on. No matter how tired you are or how drunk you might be, always cleanse, tone, and moisturise.”

5. She Loves Hyaluronic Acid

Chan tells Women’s Weekly that she loves to use hyaluronic acid on her skin. “In the morning, I’ll cleanse, use a hyaluronic acid serum, and I’ll always use a good moisturiser with SPF. I love the Revitalift Filler Day Cream ($36 from Lookfantastic), which has hyaluronic acid in it – I take it with me during the day so I can top up my skin if I ever have a bit of dryness. When I am tired, I get puffy eyes, so I use [an eye cream] with a roller to help wake up my skin in the morning.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
