When Rocky Balboa is your father, you learn a thing or two about healthy living and staying in shape. 1. Fuel Your Body Right

Sistine told W that “drinking lots of water” and eating clean are two of her go-to tips. In addition to fueling fitness, they are also the key to flawless skin. “Normally in the morning, I will have a small snack before I work out,” Sistine added to Hollywood Life, “and then my little sister [Scarlet] makes the most incredible oatmeal. So, she’ll make us either oatmeal or a protein smoothie. Then, for lunch, I will have a veggie wrap, and we also love to bake but will bake a lot of healthy alternatives.” For dinner, the girls enjoy a protein and a vegetable followed by ice cream. “We eat three meals a day, plus dessert,” Sophia said. “That’s partly why we work out so hard — so that we can do that.”

2. Hit the Gym Hard

“I do about an hour to an hour and a half [in the gym] a day,” Sistine and Sophia told Hollywood Life. “We are all big workout fanatics,” said Sistine.

3. Take Advantage of the Buddy System

The Stallone family makes exercise a group effort. Sistine revealed that “all five of us will be in the gym at 10:30 in the morning. It’s a lot of fun. Most of the time, we’re taking a lot of dance breaks, but it’s really fun,” she said. “I put a lot of emphasis on wellness and fitness,” added Sophia. “We all eat very healthily. We always work out. It’s not because you’re trying to get to look a certain [way], it’s because we just love cooking and we love working out together. We find it very fun, and we feel our best when we do it. Especially now in quarantine, we have the time for it.”

4. Don’t Stress Your Body Out

Sophia reveals a great piece of advice handed down by her father: Don’t put so much stress on your body and “really relax,” she told HollywoodLife. “I feel like when you overwork out sometimes, it can really get too hard on your body. So, if you’re working out you want to take time to also go on long walks, to do yoga. It’s important [to relax], and my dad always reminds us to not go too hard 24/7.”

5. Try Yoga

Sistine told HollywoodLife that Sly recently got them into yoga. “He’s always trying to get me to do it with him so he can prove how hard it is and that I can’t keep up with him. I’m like, ‘Okay, Dad. You’re right. You can hold the downward dog pose longer than me.'”

50 is the new 30 – in Hollywood at least. These celebrities have been in the public eye for decades, but somehow manage to majorly delay the aging process. From taking care of their skin and undergoing the latest treatments to remaining dedicated to healthy eating and exercise, we have compiled the longevity secrets of some of the most high-profile stars who look sensational in their 50s.

1. Bethenny Frankel: She Doesn’t Diet

2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Bethenny Frankel, 52, has one big dietary secret – she doesn’t diet. "I’m old enough to know that fat-free was a craze, low-carb, eat your weight in meat and cheese was a phase, keto is a fad, the Zone was a moment, and so on .... so yes, I eat carbs. I eat everything, but I don’t binge," the Real Housewives star dished to Good Housekeeping. "What I eat has no consistency. Today, it was an egg white vegetable omelet with a baked potato and a few french fries for lunch. Sometimes, it's arugula with tomato, avocado, and Parmesan. Pureed soups are a mainstay for me."

2. Jennifer Lopez: No Alcohol, Healthy Diet, and “Harder and Smarter” Workouts

The Mother New York Tastemaker EventKevin Mazur/Getty Images

"I'm in the best shape of my life," Jennifer Lopez, 53, told InStyle in 2021. The star attributes her ageless beauty to a healthy diet, lots of water, and zero alcohol. She has also been extremely devoted to exercise. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she revealed. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

3. Paulina Porizkova: Gracefully Aging with Daily Exercise

Supermodel Paulina Porizkova, 58, believes in aging gracefully. And while she didn’t start exercising until she was 40, she now works out almost daily. “I try to exercise at least 3-5 days a week. And you know what? I ... hate it,” she said in one of her workout videos. “I don’t like to sweat and huff and puff and hurt. If sitting on a couch, eating cake, drinking wine and reading did the same for me as exercise, there would be no contest. BUT. I have come to find out that ‘working out’ is that perfect little pill everyone is looking for. It makes you feel good, look good, good for your brain and body - a small miracle that has to be paid of by a little discomfort.” Her favorite workouts include dancing, rowing, and pilates.

4. Kelly Ripa: “I Work Out Seven Days a Week”

Kelly Ripa, 52, never skips a workout "I work out seven days a week," she told In the Know. "And I try to workout an hour and a half a day, no matter what — whether I'm working or not. If I'm working, maybe I'll start it a little bit later or a little bit earlier, depending on what day of the week it is. But I am very religious about my fitness." She also avoids alcohol and maintains a super clean alkaline diet.

5. Jennifer Aniston: She Switches Up Her Workouts

Los Angeles Premiere Of Netflix's "Murder Mystery 2" - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Jennifer Aniston, 54, recently revealed to Bustle that she toned down her super-aggressive “feel the burn” approach to exercise. “I work out about three to four times a week, which is basically all your body really needs. I’ll do Pvolve, and then to switch it up, sometimes I’ll do Pilates, or sometimes I’ll take a hike,” she said. She also focuses on recovery. I love an infrared sauna or an Epsom salt bath. Those are two really good for drawing that lactic acid out, and I’ll even use my hands or a little gua sha on my legs for the same purpose.”

6. Jennifer Garner: Daily Cardio Sessions

On Jennifer Garner’s 51st birthday earlier this year she appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and revealed her secret to longevity. “What I do in the morning is I work out,” Garner said. “You’ve gotta do hard cardio to get that—to get yourself—I’m sorry, you do,” she said. “We need it in our bodies, but we need it in our brains. Your brain needs it!” she exclaimed. “You find something that actually makes you feel joyful while you’re doing it or it won’t work.”

7. Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara, 50, regularly jokes that she isn’t a fan of exercise. However, as she has gotten older she has incorporated weights into her routine. “The one thing that I have done that really has made a difference in my body is lifting weights. Not crazy weights. But, you know, like five pounds, seven pounds, 10 pounds. Twelve pounds is the maximum I can do. It keeps your muscles tight, and your skin tighter to you,” she explained to Health. “I’ve done Pilates and spinning, and I’ve tried all sorts of things—and they’re great.”

Eva Longoria, 46, is one of the fittest female stars in Hollywood, as can be demonstrated by the slew of swimsuit snaps she has been sharing this summer. The activist and Desperate Housewives actress, star of the current film The Boss Baby: Family Business, doesn’t pretend her toned curves come naturally: Her Instagram feed is also filled with lots of photos and videos about her incredibly hard core diet and fitness ethos. Something must be working, given how good she looked on National Bikini day last week. Here is everything she does to stay so fit—including her diet, workout, and wellness secrets, and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Is Disciplined About Diet and Exercise

There is no magical, easy way to stay in shape as you age, per Eva. It all boils down to discipline.. "Especially as you get older, people want to know the secret to looking good and there is no secret. It's diet and exercise," she revealed to Vogue Australia. And it isn’t a one or the other type of equation. "People say they eat well but they don't exercise. Or they run 20 miles a day but they can't lose weight. You have to do both."

2. She Does a Lot of Different Workouts

31st Annual Producers Guild Awards - ArrivalsFrazer Harrison/Getty Images

Instead of relying on one type of workout to stay in shape, Eva is constantly rotating them. "I do a lot. I'm a runner, I do yoga, I do pilates, I do SoulCycle and I'm just constantly mixing it up," she told People.

3. She Loads Up on Veggies

Grilled,Chicken,And,Fresh,Vegetables,Chopped,Salad,With,Herbs,,LemonShutterstock

Eva eats her first meal post workout session in the morning, and tries to keep her diet clean and filled with veggies. "After I run, I eat probably the same thing every morning, which is egg whites with spinach and turkey bacon," she told The Cut. "I could easily be a vegetarian because I love vegetables so much and I feel like L.A. is a place that can support healthy living," she added to InStyle. "I love cooking with vegetables and I have a secret for cooking with vegetables, [which] is that they don't need a lot. A lot of people cover them in cheese or cover them in a sauce, and vegetables really only need olive oil."

4. She Is Disciplined When She Needs to Be

The Hollywood Reporter's Power 100 Women In EntertainmentStefanie Keenan/Getty Images

While she is generally “a moderation girl” when it comes to her diet, sometimes she takes more extreme measures to slim down — including going sugar-free for three months. “I'll cut out all sugar and simple carbs that turn into sugar — rice, pasta, bread. I'm not a big carb person anyway, so it's not that hard," Longoria revealed to Glam Belleza Latina. After welcoming her first child, she attributed her weight loss to “eating air” for six months. “I haven’t drunk wine. I haven’t eaten sugar. I haven’t seen a carb in awhile,” she told Us.

5. She Food Preps

Almonds,In,White,Porcelain,Bowl,On,Wooden,Table.,Almond,ConceptShutterstock

While Longoria loves to cook, when she is on set she gets food delivery to help keep her diet healthy. “Before I could afford a food delivery system, I would make my breakfast and lunch, I'd pack some snacks, and put almonds in my purse. I was always prepared because I was always hungry," she told Health.

6. She Trains Hard

Rocketman Red Carpet - The 72nd Annual Cannes Film FestivalLaurent KOFFEL/Gamma-Rapho via Getty Images

Eva works out with trainer Grant Roberts, and isn’t afraid of serious strength and weight training. Her Instagram feed is filled with clips of her hardcore workouts, which involve a lot of compound moves to work multiple muscles simultaneously, like squat/rows, sled pushes, battle ropes, and school deadlifts.

7. She Is Into Trampoline Cardio

Women,Group,On,Sport,Trampoline,,Fitness,WorkoutShutterstock

Eva has found a fun way to up her cardio game: Trampoline jumping on a JumpSport trampoline. “Saturday workouts are better with a trampoline,” she recently captioned an image of the springy workout tool, which she has dubbed the “Rolls Royce” of trampolines.

Eva Longoria recently added a little bounce to her workout routine with the help of a trampoline. She doesn’t just jump on her mini JumpSport trampoline, she does kicks, jumps, and knee raises, alternating leg extensions and lunges, and lower abdominal crunches and leg and hip exercises. "Saturday workouts are better with a trampoline," she recently captioned an image of her workout. "Oh my god this feels amazing," she said while jumping. "It actually feels better on my knees." Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford, M.D., an obesity medicine physician and educator specializing in the care of adults, adolescents, and children, who's working with JumpSport Fitness to encourage the healthy habit of daily movement through their Maintain Your Weight campaign, explains that trampolines are low impact on joints. Vanessa Hudgens is one of the many devotees of cult workout The Dogpound, a New York City and Los Angeles based training studio that hosts hardcore, bootcamp like group fitness classes. She can often be seen doing the workouts on Instagram.

"I'm the type of person that needs to be in a class," Vanessa told Popsugar. "I need someone telling me what to do, and I love being in a group environment because I'm very competitive, so it pushes me to work harder than I would if I was by myself." In addition to the physical benefits of a high intensity workout, group exercise can also make your life better in other ways. According to a 2017 study in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, exercising in a group environment can help decrease stress and improve quality of life.

Kim Kardashian is in her best shape ever, and it has nothing to do with crash diets or trendy workouts. She and trainer Melissa Alcantara focus on long, strength training sessions to maintain Kim’s famous figure. "When it comes to booty and legs, we usually work out for an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes," Alcantara told Women's Health about their twice a week lower body workouts. "You don't want to go too hard or overwork that muscle, otherwise it doesn't have time to recover and grow.” Kim recently added treadmill sprints to her routine. "Been sprinting every day!" she wrote on an Instagram Story. "I've been seeing changes!"

4. Kate Hudson Does “Everything”

"I do everything. I have to switch it up, I get so bored," Kate Hudson told InStyle about her workout strategy. "I've been loving the Obé app, they have 20-minute workouts that are really hard and if you do them with the proper form they're really effective. I love my yoga apps, like Glo, and I use Body by Simone and Tracy Anderson's apps too — there's nothing better than her abs workout. I love my Peloton. I love Pilates — that's always been my number one." There are multiple reasons to switch up your workouts. Not only does it prevent boredom and overuse injuries but is a great way to ensure you are working all your muscles.

5. Halle Berry Fights

One study published in the Japan Journal of Physical Education, Health and Sport Sciences found boxing-style exercises promote feelings of relaxation and improve mood.

Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, is all grown up and celebrating her fit figure! The 25-year-old shared a series of snaps to her Instagram account, showing off her strong and curvy physique in a bikini. “Aye aye captain,” she captioned the photos taken on a boat. How does the rapper’s daughter stay in such great shape? According to her social media account, she is completely dedicated to diet and fitness. Read on to see 5 ways Hailie Jade Mathers stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. She Stays Accountable

Hailie keeps herself accountable by sharing her workouts with her fans under a tab tiled FITFAM. “As things are starting to get a bit less chaotic/anxious i’m going to try to slowly get back into somewhat of a routine & start sharing that with you! not exactly sure what that will look like yet but at the very least i will be pushing my butt to workout! So keep an eye on my stories if you need some motivation because i know i certainly could use some lately,” she vowed early in the pandemic.

2. Her Workouts Are Hardcore

Each of her workouts is more hardcore than the next, featuring multiple reps and sets of various strength and weight training moves. “For most people, a single set of 12 to 15 repetitions with the proper weight can build strength and improve fitness as effectively as can multiple sets of the same exercise. The important point is to exercise your muscles to fatigue — meaning that you can't lift any more with that muscle group. When you do this, you stimulate factors in the muscle that contribute to improved muscle strength and growth. And one set performed to muscle fatigue provides you with almost all the same benefits as a multiset program,” says the Mayo Clinic.

3. She Fuels Up on Healthy Produce

Hailie is all about healthy eating. Under a FUEL tab on her Instagram account she regularly shares some of her favorite snacks, which include fruit, yummy granola bowls and smoothies. “Who doesn't love a smoothie? It's one of the best ways to make a colorful (and super easy) culinary creation,” says Eat This, Not That! “On the other hand, it can also be the perfect excuse to use up a bag of spinach, the last scoop of peanut butter in the jar, and the rest of that carton of almond milk in the fridge.”

4. She Is Into Supplements

Sport,Diet,Nutrition,And,Fitness,Equipment,Stone,Background,Top,ViewShutterstock

The influencer also believes in the power of supplements. “With fitness as my main goal I take rhodiola and ashwagandha for energy and endurance support,” she explained in one of her stories. “I also get whey protein to help support muscle recovery and getting more protein in my diet.” “Whey protein might help speed muscle recovery after intense exercise,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Whey protein — typically in the form of a powder — can be added to liquids or soft foods, such as applesauce, or blended with ice and fresh fruit to make a smoothie.”

5. She Exercises Outdoors

https://https://www.instagram.com/p/COijVh3H2jf/

Hailie doesn’t just get her exercise done in the gym. The influencer also loves going on walks and hikes. “Outdoor exercise provides a mental health boost beyond that of indoor gyms,” says the ACE. “Moving outdoors has been shown to reduce anger and depression and improve mood. Exposure to sunlight enhances vitamin D production, which may be partially responsible for this mood-enhancing effect. You don’t have to run a marathon or crush an outdoor boot camp to reap the benefit. Even low-intensity activities, like walking or gardening, will do. For a quick afternoon pick-me-up, head outside for a 15-minute walk break, and return to work feeling energized.”

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
