Survivor "Wrecked" Her Body

After winning Survivor and returning from the experience, Natlie told CBS News that it had a major impact on her health. "My hair was falling out. I lost all my muscle. I was so frail," she confessed.

2

She Ate Poorly When She Returned

Once she returned to civilization Natalie indulged in junk food like Krispy Kreme and Chick-fil-A, eating donuts and fried chicken. One day she joined fellow contestant Jeremy Collins for a cheeseburger sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. "Now when I think about it, it's so gross!" she said.

She Does CrossFit

Natalie's workout of choice? CrossFit. She loves the workout so much she became a coach. CrossFit is a form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that focuses on improving strength, endurance, and body composition. However, it can result in injury if not done properly. The involvement of well-educated coaches decreases the injury rate.

She Follows the Paleo Diet

Natalie sticks to a Paleo diet, aka the "caveman" diet. It consists of lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds and overall, choosing low-glycemic fruits and vegetables.

She Runs

Natalie also runs. She recently shared her 5k running workout on the treadmill. She did a 1200 meter in 3 minutes, a 600 in 2.5 minutes, a 400 in 2 minutes, and a 300 in 1.5 minutes. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.
