Caroline Wozniacki was one of the most successful tennis players ever. In 2010 and 2011, she was ranked #1 in world singles. She was also the first Danish player to win a singles title at the Australian Open, and she won 30 WTA singles. In April, Wozniacki appeared in an Adidas collab on Instagram. In it, she wore a top and skirt in different shades of blue. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Caroline Wozniacki stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Eats Healthy

Wozniacki shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with GQ. She says that she makes sure to eat healthy. “Because we travel to the same places every year, we get comfortable with the city and the restaurants. We know what we like and where to go, so it makes it easier. We do eat out a lot. I’m not one of those people who’s crazy strict with my diet, but I do think about the best ways to fuel my body so I can perform my best. The best way to describe it is you can have a Ferrari, but if you don’t put the right fuel in it, it’s not going to go anywhere. I love to have good protein, and I need to have my vegetables and a little bit of carbs. A lot of times I eat chicken with broccoli and rice; that’s my go-to meal.”

2. She Does An Equal Amount Of Cardio & Lifting

Wozniacki revealed to GQ that she does both cardio and lifting to stay in shape. “For me, it was always more cardio, and then a little bit of lifting. But now that I’m older, I’d say it’s 50-50. That’s to make sure that my body stays strong and I can prevent injuries. I’m a big runner, but my body can’t take as much of the pounding, so I’ve had to cut down on that a little bit. Now I use the elliptical, the bike, the StairMaster—all sorts of things to get my heart rate up and save my body.”

3. She Boxes

Wozniacki loves to box to stay fit. “I’ve done a lot of boxing training,” she said to GQ. “I started when I was 12, and my trainer is from Copenhagen. I don’t do as much of it now as I used to, but there’s still a few weeks where I put it on my schedule. I think it helps build my strength and cardio, because it’s a great combination of core and shoulders. The trainer is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, but so brutal when it comes to killing you during training. But you can’t get mad, because he’s so nice.”

4. She Does Outdoor Workouts

Wozniacki spends a lot of time outside. She tells ESPN that she likes to do outdoor workouts. “I do a lot of beach workouts. I used to do a lot of running, but now I need to take care of my knees, so I go on a bike, then I run on the beach and do sprints. I do paddle-boarding for the balance and to be outside in nature -- it's fun.”

5. She Doesn’t Deprive Herself

Wozniacki eats healthy, but she also likes to enjoy a sweet option. "I will usually have a healthy meal with protein and vegetables with carbs because I need it, but basically after every meal, I have something sweet just to kind of make myself feel good,” she told ESPN. “I love all those Danish gummies; they're the best. I read that Scandinavians eat the most candy of anyone in the world. I think we have the best candies, so it makes sense."
