Selling Sunset star Vanessa Villela isn’t one to give up on her health and fitness goals over the holidays. Villela, 45, shared a picture of herself posing with friends in a blue workout outfit and orange sneakers, flexing her bicep to show off her strong, toned physique. “Happy Monday! Do you want to end the year feeling amazing?” she captioned the post. Villela is not only a star real estate agent, she’s a talented and accomplished actress—here’s what her diet and exercise looks like.

1. Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent,Fasting.,Healthy,Breakfast,,Diet,Food,Concept.,Organic,Meal.,FatShutterstock

Villela practices intermittent fasting and a healthy diet. “Intermittent fasting has been the key to everything, it helps with metabolism, skin, gut health, and my energy levels,” she tells Healthista. “I don’t follow anything too specific, so there’s no 11am to 8pm schedule. If I finish my last meal at 9pm let's say, then I just wait 14 or 15 hours to eat the next day. Sometimes I will have a planet-based protein shake that has superfoods with fruit and oat milk, or if I feel like I want to have a burger, I just have the burger without the bun – I follow what my body wants but do that in a healthy way.”

2. Fun Workouts

Villela does Pilates and online workouts. “I do [reformer Pilates] about five or six days a week," she tells Healthiest. "For me moderate is something my body tolerates better. It strengthens the body and muscles in a different way – it elongates the muscles and I was in very good shape because of that. I combine it with weights, boxing, running 3k and other workouts, sometimes in person and sometimes online, called Strong Confident Living or Karen Lord for if you don’t have much time because they are about 10-20 minutes long. Find a workout that you enjoy the most and use it as something fun that you enjoy doing for yourself. No one else is going to benefit from the workout but you and it will always make you feel good when you finish.”

3. Fan Favorite

Villela is thrilled to have been a fan favorite on Selling Sunset. “I never really imagined that I’d be a fan favorite, especially in my first season!” she told Now Magazine LA. “It’s been so overwhelming, but in a good way. My heart is overflowing with gratitude, especially because it has given me the opportunity to fulfill my passion for helping other people. I also love that it really helps me feel more connected with people because they know me more as Vanessa, and not just as an actress. It makes me so happy, especially after all the grief and the chaos of the pandemic. I get to start a new era of helping people with what they’re going through by sharing what I went through and how I cope with day to day struggles. It’s been the best thing that could happen to me.”

4. Weight Loss Stress

The Critics Choice Association's Celebration of Latino Cinema & TelevisionLester Cohen/Getty Images

Villela says that at one point, the stress of trying to lose weight spiked her cortisol levels and made weight loss even harder. “I would look in the mirror and I wouldn’t recognise myself,” she told Healthista. “My face is the first thing that gains weight. I think that the stress of wanting to lose weight was not allowing me to lose weight and recover my health. I was extremely tired with work and the energy with the [soap opera] characters was so intense that my cortisol levels, the stress hormone, went super high and created a lot of problems with my hormones and the thyroid – everything… I think that sometimes we don’t prioritize ourselves. We all have very busy lifestyles and sometimes it’s hard to say ‘ok I’m going to wake up 30 minutes before’ but I think it’s important for any person to live a healthy life.”

5. Role Model

Villela is guided by her mother’s example and work ethic. “Well, my first role model was my mom, for sure,” she told Now Magazine LA. “My parents got divorced when I was seven, and I always saw my mom working non-stop and being a supermom and cooking and everything. She was sensational. She has been my inspiration since I was little because I always wanted to make her proud.”

1. She Loves to Workout

One of the key ways Vanessa stays in sensational shape is by working out daily. “I would do seven days if I had time,” she told Parade about her workouts. She tries to get her workouts in as soon after waking up as possible. “I love starting my day off that way because sometimes I’ll have a less productive days and if I’ve gotten a workout in, then I feel like I’m accomplished no matter what.”

2. She Did Sumo Squats with a Kettlebell

Vanessa started off her mini workout video, which was first shared by her trainer in May, by perfectly executing sumo squats with a kettlebell. The compound exercise is incredibly effective, forcing a variety of muscles -- including glutes, quadriceps, calves -- to workout together. Clearly she was having some fun with her fitness routine, as she playfully stuck out her tongue for the camera.

3. She Did a Side Squat with Resistance Band and Medicine Ball

In another compound exercise, Hudgens held a medicine ball while she executed a slide squat, a move made extra hard with the addition of a resistance band around her ankles.

4. She Did a Reverse Lunge to High Knee with Dumbbells

Next up, a reverse lunge to high knee with dumbbells. Another compound move, this exercise works everything to the legs and butt to abs. For the workout video, see here:

In addition to weight and strength training, Vanessa stays in shape with lots of other workouts. Pilates, Soul Cycle, hot yoga, and strength training are a few of her favorite workouts—and sometimes she even does multiple workouts a day. “Some days when I have the time, I love doing Pilates first and then going over to Soul Cycle. I love a double up!” she told Parade. “I always feel so accomplished when I double up. I’ve been going to this Pilates studio called WundaBar for years and it’s just a great deep muscle-training workout. It’s not super high intensity but I always feel it the next day.”

Another weekend, another bikini fashion show! Vanessa Hudgens beat the heat this weekend in a few different swimwear selections. After rocking a zebra print bikini on Saturday, the actress opted for a leopard print string style on Sunday, cooling down with the help of a friend and a hose. It was hard not to notice the star’s incredibly toned abs. How does she achieve them? Read on to see 7 ways Vanessa Hudgens stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. She’s All About Old School Weight Training

vanessa-hudgens-sunday-fundayVanessa Hudgens/Instagram

Vanessa can be found at The Dogpound, a celeb-loved private Los Angeles and New York based gym that focuses on weight and strength training. She often works out with her pals, sharing videos of her gut-busting hardcore workouts. “Some say we do too much. I say we do just right,” she captioned a recent clip, transforming a cat cow into a dance move. Other regular exercises she does? Tons of modified squats, kettlebells, weighted sled pushes, leg lifts on all fours, and lots of ab work.

2. She Also Mixes in a Variety of Workouts

“My body builds muscle very quickly and I don’t love the way it looks on my body. So I find the way that I achieve the body that I want for myself is to lengthen, to lean and to tone,” she told Parade. This is why she mixes in Pilates, Soul Cycle, and hot yoga into her strength and weight training regiment.

3. Some Days She Doubles Up

Vanessa often does two workouts in a day. However, she won’t do the same workout both times. “Some days when I have the time, I love doing Pilates first and then going over to Soul Cycle. I love a double up!” she told Parade. “I always feel so accomplished when I double up.”

4. She’s Into the (Workout) Buddy System

Vanessa is all about the buddy system when it comes to exercise. "I'm the type of person that needs to be in a class," Vanessa told PopSugar. "I need someone telling me what to do, and I love being in a group environment because I'm very competitive, so it pushes me to work harder than I would if I was by myself." She often shares videos of herself exercising will pals, and always looks like she is having a blast.

5. She Is a Morning (Workout) Person

Premiere Of Columbia Pictures' "Bad Boys For Life" - ArrivalsLeon Bennett/WireImage

Vanessa is all about daily workouts, first thing in the morning. “I would do seven days if I had time,” she told Parade. “I love starting my day off that way because sometimes I’ll have a less productive days and if I’ve gotten a workout in, then I feel like I’m accomplished no matter what.”

6. She Plans Ahead

Premiere Of Columbia Pictures' "Bad Boys For Life" - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Instead of waiting until the last minute, Vanessa commits to working out ahead of time. “I normally sign up for a class the night before so I don’t even have time to think about it and just wake up to having to go to workout,” she told Parade. “If I don’t do it first thing in the morning it normally does not happen.”

7. She Has Worked Out on an Empty Stomach

20:4,Fasting,Diet,Concept.,One,Third,Plate,With,Healthy,FoodShutterstock

"I work out on an empty stomach usually," she revealed to Parade. "I kind of to go between intermittent fasting and Keto and so it's normally just black coffee and a lot of water first thing in the AM." "If you exercise in the morning, get up early enough to finish breakfast at least one hour before your workout. Be well-fueled going into a workout. Studies suggest eating or drinking carbohydrates before exercise can improve workout performance and may allow you to work out for a longer duration or higher intensity. If you don't eat, you might feel sluggish or lightheaded when you exercise," says the Mayo Clinic.

Kerly Ruiz is training her legs – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness personality shows off her amazingly fit figure during an exercise session. “Workout of the day!! Here I leave you today's exercise for quadriceps!!” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Here's What She Eats in a Day

Kerly shared a sample day of eating, starting with breakfast: 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg

30g of oats or 1/2 potatoes. Next up, a snack, a protein shake and 2 small Colombian potatoes. Then, for lunch she has 140g chicken with 100g rice and a green salad. For a snack she has 90g shrimp and zucchini vegetable pasta. And finally, for dinner she has 110g of fish with 1 egg and green salad.

Intermittent Fasting

In order to “lose weight, burn fat and get super fit” Kerly intermittent fasts, which she calls her eating method. Intermittent fasting works by “prolonging the period when your body has burned through the calories consumed during your last meal and begins burning fat,” explains Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Low Carb Diet

Kerly is on a low carb diet, she told El Estimulo, revealing she only eats “light” sandwiches. “I try not to eat a lot of bread because it makes my belly bigger, but when I can, I use whole wheat bread. I try to combine it with protein, which is very important to maintain muscle. I like to put some dressings that give flavor to the sandwich so that the diet is pleasant and I don't get bored,” she says. “Olives, avocado, olive oil, alfalfa, whole wheat toast, a grilled chicken breast and a little mustard, because it's the only dressing that doesn't have calories. No mayonnaise, no tomato sauce.”

She Counts Calories

“My diet only allows me a low-calorie sandwich, between 150 and 180 calories, which could be eaten mid-morning - I eat 6 times a day - because you can't eat carbohydrates at night. I try to find the right flavors, since I live on a diet. I put a little bit of what I have at home, avocado, which even though it has fat, it's the good kind, tomato too, so to speak, you can't overdo it either, and olive oil, which is a good fat for the body, skin, hair and nails,” she added.

No Mayo

One ingredient that she would never put in a sandwich? “Mayonnaise because I think that first of all it's greasy for the skin, it gives you acne and secondly it goes to your belly, your rolls. I don't like mayonnaise at all,” she said.

Known for her consistent workout routine and motivational posts, she regularly shares videos of herself training at the gym, showing off her progress and inspiring her followers. Whether she’s lifting weights or focusing on her core, Heidi keeps her audience engaged with honest reflections about her fitness journey. In a recent Instagram video, Vuorela posed in front of a mirror, flaunting her toned physique in a black top and brown pants. She captioned the post, “It’s Friday,” giving her followers a glimpse into her workout routine and the confidence she’s earned through her hard work and discipline.

1. She Rests

Vuorela works out regularly. However, she makes sure to prioritize her rest days. She talked about this in the caption of an Instagram post. “Finally, it was training today after 3 days of involuntary rest,” Vuorela wrote. “Had to take the kids with me to get it together, but it went great. Stayed for 2 hours at the gym and they did not whine once that they wanted to go home. They thrive almost as well as I do there.”

2. She Does Leg Workouts

Vuorela makes sure to workout her entire body. Which includes her upper body. She likes to reveal what day she did in the captions of her gym videos. Vuorela captioned this video, “Today it was a workout. Back and triceps 👌 How can you think that this is just as fun every time! 😃 Never get tired of going to the gym 🥰

3. She Works Her Legs

Vuorela doesn’t skip leg day. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself revealing that she did a lower body workout that day in their captions. Vuorela captioned this post, “First session in 2 weeks! Trained a late evening workout from 21-23 and it turned into one hell of a leg workout. Usually do not work out for as long as 2 hours but tonight after such a long rest I just wanted to feed on and never stop 😄 Now we are back to these routines.”

4. She’s Motivated

Vuorela makes sure to stay motivated to workout. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Became a leg pass to end this week as usual. Didn't really want to work out at 17:30, when you are used to working out in the mornings. Thought it would be completely full in the gym on a Friday night. But it was almost deserted. So nice that I still went to the gym because I tagged along and it was a good workout anyway even though you were unmotivated at first.”

5. She Goes Outside

Vuorela likes to go outside. She shared this post on Instagram of herself in a field. According to UC Davis, going outside is very beneficial. “Studies also show that being in nature has a positive effect on our bodies by reducing cortisol levels, muscle tension, and demands on our cardiovascular systems (lowers heart rate and blood pressure). Being out in nature often may lead to lower rates of heart disease. The great outdoors can also help you increase your vitamin D level, which is important for your bones, blood cells, and immune system.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Images of a woman saying no to plastic surgery.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker.
