1. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Skincare is extremely important to Zendaya. She shared some of her favorite tips with InStyle. “I find it therapeutic to give myself a facial and do all those extra steps,” she says. “Cleansing; cleansing with another cleanser; toning with, like, eight different things; then a spray; a sheet mask; a clay mask. It’s a little self-care.”
2. She Doesn’t Follow Trends

Zendaya tells Glamour that she doesn’t like to follow trends, especially when it comes to beauty. She says that she focuses on what she enjoys doing. “I honestly don’t believe in beauty trends. I stick with what I’m feeling in the moment…Similar to trends, I think beauty rules in general are BS! Do what you want and do what makes you feel best. That’s my beauty motto.”
3. She Removes Her Makeup

Zendaya tells Glamour that she always makes sure to remove her makeup. “One of the best tricks I’ve learned over the years is to use a face or cleansing oil to remove mascara, and to move slowly. It really helps keep them healthy and soft, plus it keeps the skin around my eyes nice and moisturized.”
4. She Tries New Skincare Products & Tricks

When it comes to skincare, Zendaya likes to try new things and products. “I’ll incorporate different serums every now and then,” she tells British Vogue. “I think it’s good to switch up your skincare so that your skin doesn’t get too used to it. My products always seem more effective after I’ve left them for a bit and come back.”
5. She Makes Time For Herself

Zendaya has a busy schedule, however, she tells InStyle that she always makes time for herself. “Everyone has their own thing, like a form of meditation or whatever. Me, I find it very hard to just sit there and clear my brain. People say I’m crazy, but I watch Harry Potter, like, once a day. It’s just calming to me, so that’s my thing.”
6. She Builds Confidence

Zendaya tells InStyle that she works on building confidence, and shared some of her tips for doing so. “Confidence takes time. A lot of people would be like, ‘Why don’t you just love yourself?’ or ‘Why don’t you just feel better?’ That stuff is much easier said than done. Growing to understand and appreciate yourself takes time. And we’re all figuring it out. My mom did it at 50. I call it her butterfly moment. She became confident and got more in touch with who she was at 50. It can happen at any point in your life. Just don’t rush that process. Let yourself feel things and know it’s OK to be a little slower than others.”
7. She Spends Time At Home

Zendaya tells InStyle that she doesn’t always like to travel and prefers to spend time at home. “I don’t want to get on another plane. I just want to stay in my house. It’s nice to have your own space and control the energy that comes in and out. I’m all about lighting and the essential oils in the air. I also spent the last few days organizing my makeup. I’m in this [moment] where everything should have a place.”
