Skincare is extremely important to Zendaya. She shared some of her favorite tips with InStyle. “I find it therapeutic to give myself a facial and do all those extra steps,” she says. “Cleansing; cleansing with another cleanser; toning with, like, eight different things; then a spray; a sheet mask; a clay mask. It’s a little self-care.”

2. She Doesn’t Follow Trends

Zendaya tells Glamour that she doesn’t like to follow trends, especially when it comes to beauty. She says that she focuses on what she enjoys doing. “I honestly don’t believe in beauty trends. I stick with what I’m feeling in the moment…Similar to trends, I think beauty rules in general are BS! Do what you want and do what makes you feel best. That’s my beauty motto.”

3. She Removes Her Makeup

Zendaya tells Glamour that she always makes sure to remove her makeup. “One of the best tricks I’ve learned over the years is to use a face or cleansing oil to remove mascara, and to move slowly. It really helps keep them healthy and soft, plus it keeps the skin around my eyes nice and moisturized.”

4. She Tries New Skincare Products & Tricks

When it comes to skincare, Zendaya likes to try new things and products. “I’ll incorporate different serums every now and then,” she tells British Vogue. “I think it’s good to switch up your skincare so that your skin doesn’t get too used to it. My products always seem more effective after I’ve left them for a bit and come back.”

5. She Makes Time For Herself

Zendaya has a busy schedule, however, she tells InStyle that she always makes time for herself. “Everyone has their own thing, like a form of meditation or whatever. Me, I find it very hard to just sit there and clear my brain. People say I’m crazy, but I watch Harry Potter, like, once a day. It’s just calming to me, so that’s my thing.”

6. She Builds Confidence

Zendaya tells InStyle that she works on building confidence, and shared some of her tips for doing so. “Confidence takes time. A lot of people would be like, ‘Why don’t you just love yourself?’ or ‘Why don’t you just feel better?’ That stuff is much easier said than done. Growing to understand and appreciate yourself takes time. And we’re all figuring it out. My mom did it at 50. I call it her butterfly moment. She became confident and got more in touch with who she was at 50. It can happen at any point in your life. Just don’t rush that process. Let yourself feel things and know it’s OK to be a little slower than others.”

7. She Spends Time At Home

Zendaya tells InStyle that she doesn’t always like to travel and prefers to spend time at home. “I don’t want to get on another plane. I just want to stay in my house. It’s nice to have your own space and control the energy that comes in and out. I’m all about lighting and the essential oils in the air. I also spent the last few days organizing my makeup. I’m in this [moment] where everything should have a place.”

When it comes to maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle, Chrissy Teigen, renowned model, TV personality, and cookbook author, has some valuable insights to share. Teigen, known for her candidness and relatability, has opened up about her weight loss journey and the tricks she employs to stay in shape. In this article, we'll explore seven weight loss strategies that Teigen has incorporated into her life. Her approach to wellness reflects a balance between enjoying food and staying active, debunking the notion of unrealistic standards in the social media realm. Get inspired by Chrissy Teigen's weight loss tricks and discover how you can adopt a healthier lifestyle while embracing your true self.

1. She Limits Carbs

In a 2015 interview with Women’s Health, Teigen opened up about her diet. She says that eating healthy is something that is important to her. “I’ve always had to watch myself,” she says. “My family is not naturally thin and we put on weight quickly. I find low-carb works for me. Even when I eat healthy grains like quinoa I keep them to a minimum.”

2. She’s Motivated To Workout

Champagne,Bottle,In,An,Ice,BucketShutterstock

Teigen shared her motivations to stay in shape with Women’s Health. "I used to take pride in the fact that I didn’t have to work out, and then I hit that age where you have to," she says. "I want to drink champagne and have hearty dinners, so I would rather work out for an hour and be able to do what I want.”

3. She Changed Her Approach

Celebrity Sightings In New York - May 09, 2023MediaPunch/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images

After having her second child, Teigen made a lot of changes. In an interview with Women’s Health, she revealed that she wrote a new cookbook based on her new lifestyle. “Two kids in, you can’t eat the way you used to. I changed, so the book had to change. With the first book, I wanted to get people out of the headspace of a 15-minute meal with less than five ingredients. Now I identify more with the people who don’t have time for that shit.”

4. She’s Honest

Teigen is all about honesty. She tells Women’s Health that she doesn’t want to contribute to unfair standards on social media. “I know they’re Facetuning, Photoshopping—and even I’m getting down on myself! Imagine the girl who’s out there scrolling and feeling like she isn’t good enough.”

5. She Took Advice From Others

Teigen shared the best piece of wellness advice she’d received in her Women’s Health. She says that she received it from fellow model, Candice Swanepoel. “I had never seen such a beautiful woman in my entire life,” Teigen explained. “I was like, ‘You’re gonna tell me that you eat pizza every day and never work out.’ And she said, ‘Oh, fuck no. I work hard for this.’ That was so important to hear.”

6. She Does Planks

Young,Fitness,Woman,Doing,Plank,Exercise,In,Gym,,Side,ViewShutterstock

Teigen shared some of her favorite workouts with Women’s Health. She says that she likes to do planks to stay in shape. “Sometimes I think I’m the weakest person, but I can plank for 20 minutes,” she says. “I’ve always had a really strong core, but it’s truly in the core of my body. Like, the stuff that’s on the outside.”

7. She’s Comfortable With Herself

Teigen tells Women’s Health that she has a lot of comfort in her body.“Honestly, I don’t ever have to be in a swimsuit again,” she says. “Since I was 20 years old, I had this weight in my mind that I am, or that I’m supposed to be. I’ve been so used to that number for 10 years now. And then I started realizing it was a swimsuit-model weight. There’s a very big difference between wanting to be that kind of fit and wanting to be happy-fit.”

2. She Uses Retinol

4. She Isn’t Hard On Herself

5. She Uses Sunscreen

Garner shared some of her skincare secrets with Prevention. She says that one of the best advice she had received was to protect her skin from the sun.“Nothing looks better in your 50s than sunscreen in your 20s,” she says. “It is the truest thing ever spoken. 6. She Doesn’t Diet

2021 CMT Music Awards - Red CarpetGetty Images

Country darling Carrie Underwood ditched calorie counting and instead started keeping track of macros. “I would ‘fall off the wagon,’ then feel terrible and repeat the cycle,” she explained to Women’s Health about her struggles with trying to stay slim in her younger years, sometimes eating as few as 800 calories per day. “Your body is screaming ‘I need more calories. I need more carbs!’" The “wannabe vegan” works with nutritionist Cara Clark, focusing on maintaining a healthy balance of 25 percent protein, 45 percent carbs and 30 percent fat. "I love rules," she admitted to Women’s Health.

2. Jennifer Lopez: Work Out “Harder and Smarter”

Global Citizen VAX LIVE: The Concert To Reunite The WorldKevin Winter/Getty Images

Jennifer Lopez has adapted her fitness regiment over the years. However, instead of working out more, she is smarter about her workouts. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now. It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter,” she told InStyle. “And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

3. Vanessa Hudgens: Work Out with Others

Vanessa Hudgens can afford to pay a personal trainer for one-on-one workouts, but opts for group fitness and workout buddies instead. "I'm the type of person that needs to be in a class," Vanessa told Popsugar. "I need someone telling me what to do, and I love being in a group environment because I'm very competitive, so it pushes me to work harder than I would if I was by myself." The 32-year-old is a devotee of The Dogpound, a hardcore boot camp style studio The Dogpound she regularly visits with her friends. "HOT GIRL SUMMER IN FULL EFFECT," the gym recently wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of sweating alongside GG Magree in an intense HIIT workout.

4. Rebel Wilson: Approach Weight Loss From All Sides...Including Emotional

2020 AACTA Awards Presented by Foxtel | Television Ceremony

Working out and eating right are only part of the equation to weight loss, per actress Rebel Wilson, who lost a whopping 60 pounds in less than a year. While she majorly revamped her diet and embarked on a fitness routine, it was the work she did on the instead that helped her achieve her goals. "I think because I approached it from all areas ... the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she told Extra.

5. Rita Ora: Focus On Strength, Not Weight Loss

Coin Cloud Cocktail Party Hosted by Artist and Actor CommonGetty Images

Instead of trying to lose weight or get to a certain clothing size, Rita Ora suggests putting your focus on getting stronger. "I didn't start working out to get skinnier—I started working out to feel better. And I think it's important for women to know that,” she told Shape. “Don't be obsessed with being thin. You just have to be fit, healthy, and strong," she said. "I love my shape because it's curvy. I have thighs. I'm a size 28 in jeans. And that's an average, normal size. I'm proud that I'm normal."

6. Kate Hudson: Move a Little Every Day

2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsGetty Images

Kate Hudson has always been devoted to fitness. One of her stay-fit secrets? She moves every day. "Now that Rani is getting a little bit older and her nap schedule is longer, I've been able to work out at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she told InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

7. Jessica Simpson: Get Your Steps In

Create & Cultivate Los AngelesGetty Images

After tipping the scales at 240 pounds during her pregnancy with third child, Birdie Mae, Jessica Simpson started walking her way to a 100-pound weight loss with the help of trainer Harley Pasternak. He started off by setting her goal at 6,000 steps and then eventually upping it to 14,000. "It had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight, but how do I keep whatever I am doing now forever. That's why we are not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise,” he told E! about the weight loss strategy he developed for the star, which also included healthy eating, sleep, and full body workouts. “Woke up before all 3 kiddos to get my steps in and spend time with me, myself, and I. Move move move for your own mental health,” she captioned a 2020 Instagram post.

8. Halle Berry: You Have to Commit

Halle Berry, 54, looks half her age. According to the star, her biggest secret to staying in shape is her commitment to healthy living, including workouts with her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, diet tips, and healthy living mantras. “You just have to have the will and the desire,” she told Harper’s Bazaar about what it takes to stay fit. “And you have to make up your mind that it's important. That's the hard work that people have to do."

9. Nicole Scherzinger: Everything in Moderation

FOX's The Masked Singer - Season FiveGetty Images

"Don't deprive yourself of anything because eventually you'll crave it and then you might binge on it. Everything in moderation," Nicole Scherzinger told Women's Health UK about her dietary rule. "For breakfast I love eggs and toast and smoked salmon or bacon, or porridge. For lunch I like maybe some soup or some sushi. For dinner, anything from pasta to rice, and meats and veggies, to sushi. When I'm going to indulge, I love pasta, pizza, I love Mexican with lots of cheese. I love French fries, or crisps – salt and vinegar crisps. In terms of snacks: almonds, coconut water, bits of coconut, baby carrots."

10. Gabrielle Union: Don’t Commit to One Workout Only

2021 Billboard Music Awards - BackstageGetty Images

Gabrielle Union allows her workout routine to evolve. "As the workout phases come and go, I'll try everything," she previously told Women's Health. "Nothing, not one thing, has stuck. I've tried kickboxing, cardio barre, I've tried a SoulCycle class...I'm not a class person." In a 2019 Instagram post, she also revealed that her motivations for exercise are also evolving. “There are times I workout for a job or specific athletic goals but usually I workout to maintain my peace. Sometimes i grunt, grimace, scream...many times I've cried while training. I've cried due to frustration. I've cried from physical pain. Many times I've cried as my fears and anxiety leave my body. For me, I'm always working out my spirit and exercising my soul. This morning felt like the end of a week of taking Ls, but today I got up and reminded myself that even when I lose, I win because I'm committed to learning and evolving,” she wrote.

7 Flat-Belly Tricks From Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is known for her tough-hero movie roles, for which she trains like an athlete—not to mention a stunt woman. Jolie, 47, has an enviably toned and strong physique whether she is filming or not—so how does she do it? Trainers who have worked with the star talk about her dedication to whatever she sets her mind to, whether it’s martial arts training or a specific muscle-building diet. Here is how she achieves, and maintains, her killer figure.

1. She Does Her Own Stunts

"The Eternals" UK Premiere - Red Carpet ArrivalsKarwai Tang/WireImage

Jolie is an old hand at occasionally doing her own stunts, and works hard to make it look perfect. “Angie throws herself into everything fully, be it rehearsals or the actual shooting," says stunt instructor Simon Crane. "We rehearse and test everything to the smallest detail with her stunt double, Eunice Huthart, before she ever tries anything. But saying that, as any athlete knows, there is no gain without pain!"

2. Martial Arts Training

A,Young,Martial,Arts,Master,Knots,A,Black,Belt.,Close-up.Shutterstock

Jolie learned martial arts for Salt. “For her fight training, we got her learning a combination of Muay Thai and Krav Maga very early on,” Crane says. “We would then pick the moves she was best at and combine them into a sequence. The training, at the early stages, took up about three to four sessions a week, lasting approximately two hours each. When we started filming, we trained during lunch breaks or on the weekends.”

3. Carbs and Protein

Top,View,Of,Lean,Meal,High,Protein,Of,Chicken,BreastShutterstock

Jolie’s diet was a healthy mix of carbs and protein for her Salt role. “She has to have 70% carbohydrates and 30% protein diet with an anaerobic training regime as opposed to aerobic, so she can put muscle on without losing weight,” Crane says. “Sticking to four or five meals a day routine as much as possible. Then when she reaches a good body level that we like, we change it to 60%/40% favoring carbs. No junk food, no empty calories, and alcohol only on weekends.”

4. Snacking On Nuts

Roasted,Peanuts,Are,Placed,On,A,White,Wooden,Floor.Shutterstock

Jolie snacked on mixed seeds and nuts plus vegetables such as cauliflower while filming The Tourist. “Although nuts are high in fat, it’s mainly healthier unsaturated fat,” says the British Heart Foundation. “They contain protein, B vitamins, vitamin E and minerals, including iron, potassium, selenium, magnesium, zinc and copper.”

5. Eating Bugs

Los Angeles Premiere Of Marvel Studios' "Eternals"Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Jolie and her family enjoy snacking on high-protein insects. “They’re used to eating scorpions, especially Shiloh,” Jolie says. “Shiloh loves a tarantula, loves a bug. They can all eat a bag of crickets like a bag of chips, so they’re all used to it. But I’m learning to cook them better with a little more flair and seasoning.”

6. Tomb Raider Training

"Eternals" PhotocallErnesto Ruscio/Getty Images

Jolie had to transform her diet and fitness for her role in Tomb Raider. “They had me on bungees. I'm dog sledding,” Jolie said. “They had me up at seven each morning and handed me a protein shake. Suddenly, a nutritionist was giving me five meals a day. But you had to do these things to maintain your energy. And I liked the intense training because there is only one way to do something and for me it's in extremes."

7. Embracing Her Age

Vittorio Zunino Celotto/Getty Images

Jolie embraces what she calls her imperfections, as part of the aging process. “I look in the mirror and I see that I look like my mother, and that warms me,” she says. “I also see myself aging, and I love it because it means I’m alive—I’m living and getting older. Don’t love having a random dark spot from a pregnancy, for sure. I see my flaws. But what I see that I like isn’t about a structure or appearance. It’s more that I see my family in my face. I see my age.”

She captioned it, “Yesterday was such a fun shoot, I just had to share these with you 🤍 🛥️But picture number #4?? That photobomb totally got me 😂 Which picture is your favorite ?🌊”

She Swims

As you can see from her post, Zelu likes to swim. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”

She Doesn't Compare Herself to Others

Zelu shares a lot of her thoughts on Instagram. In this post, she talked about no longer comparing herself to others. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today’s contemplation led me to a profound understanding of the detrimental impact comparison has on our lives. It’s like a silent intruder, subtly creeping into our thoughts and poisoning our perception of ourselves and others. It’s a universal struggle, one that weighs heavily on the hearts of many. I’ve come to realize that comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. It robs us of our ability to appreciate our own journey and achievements, as we constantly measure ourselves against an idealized version of others. I’ve resolved to break free from its grasp. We should choose to celebrate our own unique path, recognizing that each step forward is a triumph in itself. Rather than fixating on external benchmarks set by others, I’m focusing on personal growth and development. Whether it’s through learning new skills, cultivating gratitude, or simply practicing self-compassion, every effort counts.”

She Hikes

Zelu is seen on a hike in the previous Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking is very beneficial. “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”

She’s Resilient

Resilience is another important thing to Zelu. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Dear Diary 💭📝, I witnessed something truly remarkable that touched my heart deeply. It’s amazing how people can go through the toughest storms in life and yet remain gentle, patient, and kind. I saw someone who faced challenges that would break most people, yet they chose to respond with grace and humility. Their ability to stay calm and compassionate in the face of adversity is nothing short of admirable. It made me realize the beauty of resilience – the strength to keep going even when life throws its hardest punches. These individuals not only endure the storms but also emerge from them with a spirit that shines brighter than before. Their example reminds me of the power of kindness and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the darkest of times. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, there is beauty to be found 💕🫶”

She’s Accepted Herself

Zelu talked about the importance of acceptance in this Instagram post’s caption. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but amidst it all, I feel like I’ve taken a step closer to the right direction. Letting go of the past is like shedding a heavy coat I’ve been carrying for far too long. It’s not easy to release the memories, the pain, the regrets, but today, I made a choice to loosen the grip they had on me. It’s like taking a deep breath after being underwater for too long—refreshing and liberating. Forgiving myself has been a journey filled with tears and moments of self-doubt. But today, I finally understood that I deserve the same forgiveness and understanding I give to others. It’s like giving myself a warm hug, wrapping myself in kindness and acceptance.”
