She Works with a Bariatric Doctor

Galilea struggled to lose weight so she enlisted an expert. "After Mateo, it was very difficult for me to lose weight and [that's why] I'm with a Bariatrician – a doctor who helps treat obesity," she told People Espanol. "Gastric bypass and other weight-loss surgeries — known collectively as bariatric surgery —involve making changes to your digestive system to help you lose weight. Bariatric surgery is done when diet and exercise haven't worked or when you have serious health problems because of your weight. Some procedures limit how much you can eat. Other procedures work by reducing the body's ability to absorb nutrients. Some procedures do both," says the Mayo Clinic.

She Exercises "A Lot"

Working out is a big part of Galilea's fitness regiment. "Yes, I disciplined myself, I'm exercising a lot, and I think I'm taking care of myself more than ever," she told People.

She Eats Healthy But Doesn't Diet

Healthy eating is also crucial for Galilea. "It's up to me to take care of myself, I've gotten into a discipline and I'm taking great care of myself when it comes to food," she told People. "Diets don't work for me, I'm not on a diet, I'm eating well, I'm eating my protein and it has worked very well for me. I've been like this for more than six months."

She Does Pilates

Galilea is also big into pilates. "It is clear to me that getting into discipline is the best thing in the world; if you do it well, you achieve what you want," she told People. Another secret to her wellness success? "Massages also help me a lot."

She Is Disciplined

Overall, discipline is why Galilea is so fit. "It's up to me to take care of myself, I've gotten into a discipline," she told People, adding "it is clear to me that getting into discipline is the best thing in the world; if you do it well, you achieve what you want." Says one study in American Scientist: "boys and girls with weaker self-control had worse health, less wealth, less skilled parenting, and more crime as adults than those with stronger self-control, and that pattern held at every point along the gradient of self-control. To check that our observed correlation was robust, we repeated the analyses after removing children in the least and most self-controlled quintiles. We continued to observe significant linear associations, indicating that the findings did not depend on an extreme group."
