She Quit Smoking
Aisleyne started smoking while living in the Big Brother house due to stress and "just to swap and make friends," she told Daily Star. Soon she was smoking 10 a day. "I found that stressful situations or going drinking made me reach for a cigarette," she continued. In order to quit, she saw a hypnotist. "I've had a few slip-ups along the way. But the hypnotism really worked. Now if I put a cigarette to my lips I feel disgusted," she continued. Not only is her health better, but she has noticed beauty benefits. "My hair, skin and nails all look so much better," she says. "And looking good is really important to me."
She Does Boxercise and Pole Dancing
While she has more energy after quitting cigarettes, Aisleyne is "not really a gym person," she says. "I think exercise should be a laugh. I do boxercise and now I'm planning to go to pole dancing classes with a couple of girlfriends. It's a great way to tone up and burn calories."
She Maintains a Healthy and Balanced Diet
Aisleyne has a balanced approach to diet. "Everything in moderation and don't diet to the extreme," she told New. "For breakfast I eat toast and scrambled eggs, followed by pasta or a baked spud and salad for lunch and something like rice, curry and vegetables for dinner," she added to Daily Star.
She Does Strength Training
"I don't weigh myself, but I'm a size 10," Aisleyne told New. "I exercise four times a week. I'm not like Jennifer Aniston who works out twice a day." She also added some strength and weight training since turning 40. "I do lots of squats and deadlifts," she said.
She Loves Herself
Aisleyne stresses the importance of self-love. "In my twenties, I didn't know myself, but now I really do. I accept myself and I'm happy," she explained to New. "Treat yourself with kindness and encouragement. Instead of thinking your presentation won't go well, try telling yourself things such as, 'Even though it's tough, I can handle this situation,'" says the Mayo Clinic. "Think about the parts of your life that work well. Consider the skills you've used to cope with challenging situations."
