Hilary Duff Reveals the Workout Keeping Her Body Strong After 35

The Disney Channel actress starred in the series Lizzie McGuire, and now Hilary Duff has evolved, fully diving into her singing career after acting. Even with a busy schedule, raising her kids and expanding her music career, she finds time to keep her body strong after 35. Here are five habits that she swears by to keep her on the right track.
She takes time for her health

Regardless of how chaotic life gets, she always makes time to prioritize fitness and strength training, working with brands that help her along the way. “Having a plan on @joinladder keeps me consistent in the gym, no matter what my insane schedule looks like,” she said on Instagram. “When I shifted to strength training, everything changed for me — how I feel, how I move, how I perform in every area of my life. Being able to carry my kids and give my best on stage, all while feeling confident in my body, is everything.”
She lifts
She factors weight training into her workout routine. In this series of photos on Instagram, she shows herself lifting weights in the gym, keeping wellness a top priority. “Are we ready to finally talk about the training plan,” she asked on Instagram. Referring to Ladder, she said “I’ve never felt so confident and so strong, and that confidence makes all the difference.”
She prioritizes sleep

She makes sure that she gets enough rest, letting her body recharge and recover from her busy schedule and workout routines. On a video on Instagram, she said “when you realize you can worry about tomorrow’s problems tomorrow.” According to the CDC, “getting enough sleep can help you get sick less often, stay at a healthy weight, reduce stress and improve your mood, improve your heart health and metabolism, [and] lower your risk of chronic conditions like.”
Confidence is key

She’s focused on building her confidence, making sure she’s feeling good mentally. “Sooooo, this was scary….. I knew doing this would terrify me and I was right! @womenshealthmag had the most lovely all-women shoot and I actually had the best time,” she said on Instagram. “I felt strong and beautiful and laughed a lot getting into some of these poses without my high waisted mom jeans and oversized whatever I normally wear. Thank you to everyone who normalized this day for me and propped me up with compliments and love.”
She’s grateful
She continues to be grateful and positive for what she has in life, keeping her mental health in a great space. “Thank you for walking with me all these years, for celebrating what was while embracing what’s becoming. I don’t know how I ended up here, but I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Truly what dreams are made of – but real,” she said on Instagram.
