Jane Seymour's 4 Non-Negotiables for Staying Ultra-Fit at 74

Jane Seymour is best known for her iconic role in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman as well as Solitaire in the 1973 James Bond film Live and Let Die. Fast-forward to today, and she still hasn't slowed down. Seymour currently produces and stars in the BBC America crime series Harry Wild and keeps busy with her design and art company Coral Canyon Publishing. At 74, she looks fabulous in the process.
So, what is the multi-hyphenate talent's secret to looking and feeling so good into her 70s? Let's take a closer look at Seymour's non-negotiable fitness and wellness habits.
1. She's a Fan of Pilates and Moving Her Body
Pilates is an essential part of Seymour's fitness routine that helps her remain youthful.
"I've been working with Jeeny [Miller] for years," she told The Times in 2022. "It's one-on-one, it's almost like going to the doctor or a physiotherapy appointment because she includes a lot of dealing with specific muscle groups that may have been damaged."
For the actress, the instructor is as important as the exercise.
"She's only a few years younger than me, so she understands a woman's body at a certain age, which is really helpful," Seymour explained. "Sometimes when you work out with a 20-year-old, they don't get it."
In a more recent Instagram post, the actress posed in maroon-colored workout attire and stressed the importance of moving her body. She wrote, "Movement is magic! Whether it's a morning stretch, a dance in the kitchen, or a brisk walk in the fresh air, finding ways to move our bodies is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. It's not about perfection—it's about joy, energy, and feeling alive!"

2. She Doesn't Follow a Strict Diet
In February 2025, Seymour opened up to the Daily Mail about how she approaches food—and her take was refreshing in the age of fad diets.
"People ask me if I have a cheat day with my diet, and I respond that I am never on a diet, I just make good choices and stick with them," she told the outlet.
"If you think you are on a diet, you will lose track, you will cheat," Seymour explained. "But if you find healthy foods you really love, that make you feel good, you never feel shorted."

3. She Swears by Gyrotonics
In addition to her love of Pilates, Seymour incorporates the Gyrotonic Method into her workout routine. This type of exercise features circular and spiraling movements using specialized equipment, with the goal of helping with strength, flexibility and agility.
"It's all things that strengthen my core and stretch me," Seymour told The Times. "I've had injuries in the past, so I have to be careful, I can't just go out there and do crazy CrossFit or whatever. I'm very careful about my alignment."

4. She Takes Her Vitamins
Seymour is an ambassador for The Body Firm, which owns the brand Crépe Erase—and she uses the products daily to give her skin a youthful glow. As she told the Daily Mail, "exfoliating first then adding the cream" is crucial.
Additionally, the 74-year-old uses The Body Firm's Youthful Essence supplement line—including powder that contains collagen and greens—to make sure she gets Vitamins B, C, D and A for healthy skin.
"I wanted to give women permission to be well, to be healthy and to do it easily," Seymour told Parade of the collaboration. "To have it all kind of demystified for them and not have to worry about endless pills, when you take [them] and how many you take. And have it be delicious [and] something you actually want to have in the morning … I toss them right down and I just feel like Popeye and Superman."
