She Values Skincare

Hudson opened up about her skincare routine to Byrdie. She says that she makes sure to pay attention to how she is treating her skin. "By my late 20s, I really started caring about my skin and enjoyed having a skincare routine. And that's also when I started noticing the difference in my skin depending on what I was eating, what I putting on my skin, and how much water I was drinking."

She Adjusts Her Skincare Routine

Hudson tells Byrdie that she adjusts her skincare depending on the time and weather. "At night is when I really do a deep cleanse of my face. I usually use an oil or gel-based cleanser, followed by light exfoliation. I try to pay attention to how my skin reacts to the weather and switch up my serums and creams accordingly. And the mornings are really simple. I really don't do anything other than wash with water and a cloth, moisturize according to how my skin is feeling, and use sunscreen whenever needed."

She Works With A Trainer

Hudson works with personal trainer, Brian Nguyen, to help her stay in shape. He shared some of her workouts in an interview with Shape. "We live and die by the basics," he says. "We do squats, lunges, deadlifts, single-leg balance work, sprints, sled pushes/pulls — we are doing the strength work that athletes do."

She Weight Trains

One thing Hudson likes to do is weight train. Nguyen tells Shape, "Kate's not afraid of heavy weights — the weight needs to be heavy enough where her integrity does fall and she has to regain that control. I don't think we do anything so special, but mastering the basics allows her to play with speed, a heavier load, and instability."

She Pushes Herself

Hudson opened up about her fitness with People. "I'm definitely challenging myself in new ways, which I need," Hudson said. "I like to be able to set new goals to see what I can accomplish, and I love how flexible and strong I feel after a good workout, especially doing Pilates, which never gets easier."

She Doesn't Deprive Herself

Hudson tells People that she doesn't like to deprive herself when it comes to food. "I have never been an extremist. I love food. And I love a good cocktail. For me, it's really about everything in moderation; I stay mindful of what I put in my body and remember that it's OK to enjoy yourself; WW emphasizes that living a healthy life doesn't mean feeling deprived."

She Takes Supplements

Hudson tells Byrdie that she likes to take supplements as a way to help her skin. "Taking my supplements is the skincare step that I never skip because it's the one thing that affects my skin the most. I notice that when I'm taking my InBloom Essential Elements ($59) and Beauty Aura ($52) regularly, I can see it in my skin."
