Hip Rotations are a Big Part of It

“Hip rotations have always been crazy tight for me! I’ve been doing this move and it’s starting to give me more movement! Feels sooooooo good to be able to do this better. Still a way to go,” she captioned the video clip. This is a fun move to try at home. You can put a shoe on your foot too. A little bit harder when it’s a light shoe! Try it. Let me know if you could figure it out! Don’t hurt yourself. Be kind to you[r] body!!!”

Last week the athletic 42-year-old gave a demonstration of one of her go-to workouts — the Tracy Anderson Method —showing off just how strong she is and how she keeps her legs perfectly toned. “Happy legs,” she captioned the series of workout clips, adding a peach emoji to signify the workout her backside was getting as well. Wearing a pair of ankle weights and using a foldable chair for balance, the actress followed a total body strategy class led by Tracy, currently available via the Tracy Anderson Method Online Studio.

Hudson Also Likes the Tracy Anderson Method

The actress is one of several stars who rely on Anderson’s dance-inspired workout to stay in shape. “I’d have to say Tracy Anderson Method is always good,” the actress once told InStyle. “It always kick-starts me and it’s a really great, intense workout, but it’s fun. I never get bored doing the Tracy Anderson Method. Body by Simone is sort of an offshoot of that. I like it. I like the in-depthness of Tracy Anderson.”

Kate is devoted to fitness, working out nearly every day of the week. "Now that Rani is getting a little bit older and her nap schedule is longer, I've been able to work out at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she recently told InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

Aside from Anderson, she enjoys taking workout classes on The Mirror, doing Pilates, yoga and rides on her Peloton. "I do everything. I have to switch it up, I get so bored," she told InStyle. And speaking of fit celebs, don't miss Demi Moore Looking Amazing in Bikini at 58.

Kate Hudson loves wellness so much, she got into it. “I've been asked to do a lot of beauty [in my career], whether it be makeup or skincare, and I love all of it, but I'm a big believer in beauty being an inside-out experience,” she told Elle about INBLOOM, her line of plant-based supplements. “And so I thought, what better way than to start with a system that I could create, that could support health and nutrition and wellness.” The results are clear: Hudson shared a photo today from Venice, where she was promoting her film Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon at the Venice Film Festival, looking amazing in a leggy dress. “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” -Coco Chanel I chose fabric…. @monotofficial @elimizrahi #veniceitaly,” she captioned it. 1. She Knows When to Rest

Hudson once posted a photo of herself flat on a workout mat, her daughter next to her. “Those who recover together... maybe you can finish the sentence. I grew up witnessing my parents take care of their bodies. People always ask me how I get motivated to stay in shape. The answer is, it’s what I know. It’s how I was raised. It’s engrained [sic] in my brain that honoring and working our body is a gift, and so I don’t take it for granted,” she captioned the workout Instagram post. “I loooove moving. I love when it’s challenging. I love being in charge of my results. And I looooove seeing my daughter have fun doing it with me. They watch everything we do! Gotta make some good moves for kids.”

2. She Does Planks

Says the mom: “She’s starting to wake up! Carried three babies who did a number on these hips and shoulders,” Hudson wrote in an Instagram caption. “Ladies! We carry our beautiful children ALL DAY LONG (literally AND figuratively) and forget to balance it out. Time to balance that … OUT!” “Yeah, Kate! Own this. So slow to the diamond,” said her trainer Brian Nguyen.

3. She Uses Skincare Products

“As your skin ages, I think it can handle more moisture and more product. When I was much younger, in my 20s, I had quite sensitive skin and did better using fewer products. Now that I’m older, my skin is still sensitive, but I can use heavier creams and other products without breaking out,” she told Byrdie.

4. She Tries to Work Out Daily

“I always try to find at least a half-hour to work out. In fact, today I didn’t work out and it’s getting late. And I’ll still find time to work out,” she said. “When you're designing your personal fitness program, consider your fitness goals. Think about your fitness likes and dislikes, and note your personal barriers to fitness. Then consider practical strategies for keeping your fitness program on track,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Starting a fitness program is an important decision, but it doesn't have to be an overwhelming one. By planning carefully and pacing yourself, you can make fitness a healthy habit that lasts a lifetime.”

5. This is Her Go-To Snack

“Anytime I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m kind of not fitting into my jeans,’ it’s usually because I’ve been on a big chips and salsa kick,” she explained. “And Simple Mills makes an amazing cheddar almond flour cheddar. It’s like a Cheez-It, but healthy. That’s big in our house.”

Hudson told Harper’s Bazaar that she loves ice cream, “My late night snack is always going to be in the ice cream department.” However, the ice cream Hudson wants is dairy free. “As much as I’d love it to be like an old school Haagen-Dazs, they do great oat milk ice creams now. So I try to stay non-dairy because it’s a little bit better for me. And mint chip I love because it’s refreshing. But I really like a dulce de leche type … with chocolate chips.”

5. She Does 30-minute Workouts Daily

Hudson makes sure that she works out every day, no matter how busy she gets, or what time she’s exercising. “I always try to find at least a half-hour to work out. In fact, today I didn’t work out and it’s getting late. And I’ll still find time to work out,” she said to Harper’s Bazaar.

The 42-year-old has been sharing a slew of workout videos on Instagram as of late, revealing the exact moves that help her achieve her strong, toned, and taut physique. However, on Wednesday she gave the world a glimpse at her “post-workout routine”—and the results were charming. 1. Her Post-Workout Ritual Involves...Chips?

“Rani doesn’t quite understand my post workout routine yet ,” Kate cheekily captioned the image of herself lounging on a couch in a bikini with her daughter feeding her chips. "I CANT !!!!!!" commented floral designer Eric Buterbaugh. "1st with your rocking body and 2nd with just how cute that Rani is, it’s all too much." "Lol," said Katie Couric. Fashion designer Brian Atwood responded with all heart emojis.

2. She Works Out Consistently

One of Kate’s secrets to staying in shape is that she makes sure to work out nearly every day. Kate is incredibly fit because she makes exercise a priority, working out almost daily. She works out “at least 30 minutes a day, maybe five times a week,” she revealed in an interview with InStyle. “I make sure that I don't go a day without doing something for 30 minutes. I've been doing that since April and I've noticed enormous changes in my body."

3. She Alternates Workouts

Kate told InStyle that when it comes to exercise, she does “everything.” Alternating workouts is a great tactic to avoid workout fatigues. “I have to switch it up, I get so bored," she explained. "I've been loving the Obé app, they have 20-minute workouts that are really hard and if you do them with the proper form they're really effective. I love my yoga apps, like Glo, and I use Body by Simone and Tracy Anderson's apps too — there's nothing better than her abs workout. I love my Peloton. I love Pilates — that's always been my number one." Recently she has been sharing some of her Tracy Anderson Method moves on Instagram.

4. She Focuses on Her Core

Tom Ford AW20 Show - ArrivalsMike Coppola/FilmMagic

The key to Kate’s flat abs is abdominal workout. “I’m an ab [workout] fanatic,” she told Well + Good about her focus area, “and I hate [doing] them.” She often uses a stability ball to force her abs to work harder. “I’ve had a C-section, and I think any woman who has had a C-section knows how hard it is to re-engage that lower part of your abs,” she explained. “My C-section was 16 years ago, but if I go a few days without doing abs, my brain has a hard time re-engaging that area.”

5. She Does Things That Make Her “Feel Good”

2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

“I’ve always felt that wellness is about your quality of life,” she recently explained to Women's Health about her personal philosophy when it comes to fitness. “You need to know what makes you feel good. It’s about doing the things you love, eating the things you want to, exercising and not feeling like you need to [push yourself] for two hours in a hot room. You can just take a nice walk and still be healthy.”

6. She Loves Yoga

Serenity,And,Yoga,Practicing,At,Mountain,Range,meditationShutterstock

Kate is a longtime yogi. "It's about understanding your own individual likes, not fads," she once told SELF about her yoga practice, which includes transcendental meditation and Kundalini yoga. "Anything you do helps. You could sit there and not think of your mantra for your whole practice, but you're still benefiting.”

I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
