Bollywood actress Alaya F (real name Aalia Furniturewala) is dealing with heavy traffic the best way she knows how—by posting social media throwbacks of less stressful times. The Indian star shared a photo of herself where she's wearing a blue bathing suit as she poses next to a hot tub, with several pizzas in front of her. Alaya finds comfort in planning ahead. "Planning is my stressbuster," she says, especially when it comes to the movie industry stress she faces every day. "It definitely takes a toll on your mental health. My stress levels go through the roof! Sometimes, I get very anxious when I am unsure about where things are going or what's happening."

She's a Yogi

Alaya says yoga is a core part of her health and wellness regimen. "It became an integral part of my life because since I was a child, I used to do gymnastics and all of that," she says. "So, flexibility was something that I had built over time. It was just that yoga was the best natural transition into all of this. As human beings, we like doing things that we are going to be good at. Yoga was something that I thought I might be good at. So, I thought this might be the next exciting thing for me to try."

She's Open About Mental Health

Alaya is frank about protecting her mental health. "I wish people understood that everybody goes through mental health ups and downs," she says. "You are never actually alone in it. I truly feel that having an open and comfortable dialogue about mental health would do wonders for our society."

Healthy Snacks

Alaya says her family have passed down many healthy recipes which she loves. "You mix honey, turmeric, and cinnamon and you put this on top of the toast with some butter," she says. "Now, honey, turmeric, and cinnamon – all three have amazing properties. It is also such a tasty combination. So, if I remember one thing that my nana has made me try that I find it so tasty and it is also so good for you, it has to be this."

Be Kind

Alaya wishes people would practice compassion more often. "I just wish everyone was a little kinder," she says. "Everyone is hurting in some way, everyone is scared, everyone is the same at their core. There is so much discrimination, angst, and anger that I wish we were just slightly more kind to each other. It's not that hard. If every single human being does one kind thing a day, imagine how much kinder the world would be."
