1. She Loves Avocado Toast For Breakfast

Ambrosio is a big fan of avocado toast for breakfast, and sometimes includes eggs and a green juice. “Avocados are high in fat with 60 percent of this being monounsaturated fats, which research suggests helps to protect against heart disease and lower blood pressure,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “They are also an excellent source of potassium, folate and fiber, all of which benefit the heart and cardiovascular system.”

2. She Enjoys Salad and Protein

Ambrosio likes a big salad for lunch, with chicken or fish as the added protein. She also keeps nuts or a protein bar in her purse in case of a snack emergency. “New research suggests that eating plenty of nitrate-rich vegetables — such as lettuce, spinach, and beets — may lower your risk of dying of a stroke or heart attack,” says Harvard Health.

3. She Loves Hiking and Volleyball

“I would say [I work out] an hour to an hour and a half a day,” Ambrosio says. “It all depends on what I'm doing that day. If I’m going on a hike or playing volleyball with my friends it might be longer but I don’t usually spend more than an hour and a half in the gym. I love to do different classes and lately I have been doing Tracy Anderson Method because it’s fun and it feels more like a dance class than a work-out. But, at the same time, it’s great exercise as it targets all muscle groups.”

4. She Drinks Lots Of Green Tea

Jean-Paul Gaultier : Front Row - Paris Fashion Week - Haute Couture Fall Winter 2022 2023Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

Ambrosio drinks green tea throughout the day, which experts say has incredible health benefits. “Green tea contains a number of natural stimulants, including caffeine, which although not as high as coffee, may still help maintain alertness and focus,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “In addition to this, green tea is a source of the amino acid L-theanine, which has a relaxing effect; it does this by increasing mood-enhancing brain chemicals including GABA, dopamine and serotonin. The beneficial polyphenols of green tea may also help slow the effects of aging on the brain.”

5. She Loves the Beach

Ambrosio is a big fan of the beach—both for relaxing and for getting active. “Whenever I’m in Los Angeles, I like to go to Malibu—I’ll get together with my friends and play volleyball,” she tells VOGUE. “I always bring coconut water, nuts, and kale chips. For my kids, it’s sunblock, sunblock, and sunblock. They go in and out of the water the whole day, so I make sure to reapply SPF 50 as much as possible. Make sure to moisturize and hydrate while you’re at the beach, so when you are ready to go to dinner, you can just add some tinted moisturizer.”

Ambrosio shared some of her wellness secrets and her daily routine to SELF. One of her morning secrets is staying organized, which helps with her busy schedule. "I love what I do, and if I'm organized, there's time for it all," she says. "I usually pick outfits at the last minute, and my beauty regimen takes less than 30 minutes. I glance in the mirror to make sure everything is in the right place!" She also says that this organization allows her to both make breakfast and do a quick workout in the mornings.

2. She Stair Climbs

When it comes to working out, Ambrosio does a lot of different things. One way she likes to workout is straight out of the film Rocky. Yes, she likes to run up the stairs. Ambrosio tells SELF that she likes to do this to workout her lower body, and help with her cellulite. “I run the Santa Monica Stairs. They're really hard. I'll go up and down the [170] steps four to six times, usually once a week. It definitely helps the butt and legs while you're getting a little sun and fresh air at the same time."

3. She Works Out Her Lower Body

Stair climbs aren’t the only way Ambrosio likes to workout her lower body. She tells SELF that she really prioritizes her lower body workouts, and does a lot of different exercises to keep them in shape. “In Brazil, it's all about the butt. Some girls naturally have the big round one, and they aren't shy about it—that makes them sexier. Others work out to have it. For mine, I put 5-pound ankle weights on each leg, get on all fours and kick each heel up toward the ceiling. I do three sets of 20. Then I also do three sets of 20 fire hydrants, where you lift each bent leg up and out to the side."

4. She Enjoys Life

Ambrosio tells SELF that one of her wellness secrets is enjoying her life. She says that she likes to live like she’s on vacation all the time. "'Forever on vacation' is my motto. It's just the way I take life. Nothing makes me feel that pissed off or out of control. Whatever I do, whether I'm modeling or doing my clothing line, ále by Alessandra, I just want to feel like it's fun. If you're doing something you don't like, you're wasting time. Life is short. There is so much to see and do and feel. We should enjoy every moment."

I might just put a DVD in my room and look like a crazy woman.”

Alessandra Ambrosio started 2024 off by hitting the ground running—or more specifically, hitting the treadmill running. The former Victoria’s Secret model shared a video of herself wearing a gray two-piece workout outfit, going through an entire routine including running, kettlebells, resistance bands, and stair climbing. “Welcome to my @technogym. Perfect way to start the new year!!!” she captioned the Instagram post. Here’s what Ambrosio’s health and wellness routine look like at 42.

1. Sea, Sand, and Swimwear

Ambrosio’s perfect day is one spent in nature with her family. “I love being woken up by the sound of the ocean, so anywhere near the sea, especially if my kids are around,” she tells Hello!. “We recently went to Fernando de Noronha. It was magical – there are beautiful ocean views all around you. I’d eat a traditional Brazilian breakfast, fruit, avocado, eggs, fresh juices and coffee. I would change into something comfortable, probably Alo Yoga activewear. After yoga I’d jump in the ocean wearing Gal Floripa swimwear followed by a long walk on the beach in my Pangaia sweats.”

2. Beach Volleyball and Beef

Ambrosio’s favorite foods are grilled picanha and sushi, which she enjoys outdoors. “Lately, I have been researching brands like Bottletop that create sustainable products that look amazing,” she tells Hello!. “When I’m not working, I like to let my skin breathe, so I would use Dr Barbara Sturm Sun Drops for SPF protection, and Beautycounter BB Cream after my morning exercise. Instead of heading somewhere else, I would stay in the same place, so I don’t have to travel – and hopefully all of my friends and family will be there so we can play beach volleyball… Staying by the beach in Fernando de Noronha would be a dream afternoon; there is so much nature to explore and it has the most magical sunsets. In Brazil, nature is a huge part of our lives. We are surrounded by the oceans and the Amazon.”

3. Gratitude and Journaling

Directly,Above,View,Of,Blank,Gratitude,Journal,And,Black,PenShutterstock

Ambrosio’s wellness routine is focused around gratitude. “It’s not easy, but I have my tricks,” she tells Forbes. “I like waking up in the morning, doing my coffee, and then I have my diary next to my bed. It’s a 5-minute diary - like a gratitude book. I just write a little bit about what I expect out of my day, what I’m grateful for, so just to start the day in a positive vibe. I have some things that I know how to calm me down, how to center, and how to be present in the moment that I do.”

4. Weights, Weights, Weights

Ambrosio’s workout includes resistance training and Pilates for a fantastic all-body exercise. She’s also a devotee of the Tracy Anderson method. "I have been working with Tracy [Anderson] for last couple years, and what I love about her classes that it does not feel like exercise," Ambrosio told Bravo. "It's almost like taking a fun dance class that targets all of your muscle groups, and you get amazing results...she also has online classes, so when I travel, I am able to work out in my hotel room."

5. Victoria’s Secret Veteran

Ambrosio is proud of her time as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. “Victoria’s Secret was like a family for me and I learned so much with them and it was a brand that I admired,” she tells Forbes. “It was a school for me of modeling because I was working every day. We got to go to so many different places, so it just really made me really comfortable in front of the camera. I don’t know if I would change anything. I guess everything is about learning and when you’re young - I started with Victoria’s Secret when I was 19, so I was still kind of young, even if I thought I knew everything in the world (laughs). I was learning and if I did mistakes, even the mistakes, I think it counts to learn and not to do it again.”

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Charli Hawkins is training in the snow – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.

Giulia is also a fan of books. In the Maldives, she took some time to relax and read. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

Snorkeling

Giulia snorkels, recently discovering the “Sea Lung,” she revealed in a post. “It reaches 60cm long with a weight of almost 10kg, and represents the largest medusa of the Mediterranean. I don’t know why, but I have always experienced the charm of Jellyfish: creatures that are essentially simple and yet capable of surviving entire geological epochs floating, light and slow, between the currents. She, remains one of the most beautiful sights of this summer.” Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Coffee

Giulia is a coffee drinker. She especially likes shots of espresso. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Yoga

Giulia is a yogi. Here she is doing yoga. There are many reasons to do yoga, according to Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”
