Singer Ashanti is on vacation in beautiful Turks and Caicos. She is making sure to spend time in the sun and at the beach. Ashanti just posted a new set of swimsuit photos and videos on Instagram. 1. She Works With A Trainer
Ashanti, like many, works with a personal trainer. She tells People that she likes to do sessions multiple times a week. “I have a trainer and we try to go five days a week when I’m home, and then when I get to another place, he’s texting me a workout or he’ll FaceTime me and say, ‘Are you still in the bed?’ We try to keep it going.”
2. She’s Aware Of What’s In Her Food

When it comes to her diet, Ashanti eats pretty healthy. She believes in knowing what is in her food, before eating it. “I feel like it’s very necessary to just be aware of what you’re eating,” she says to People. “I think again, self-health and self-awareness are so important. All of that stuff is so important to maintaining your body, knowing what’s in your food, the GMO’s and the chemicals, and I’m super aware of this stuff.”3. She Eats A Balanced Diet
While Ashanti does eat healthy, she admits to People that she does have cheat days. She says that these days are important to her overall wellness. “To have balance, you have to eat clean and you have to work out. You have to allow yourself at least two cheat days, so that it doesn’t become too strict.”
4. She Works Out On Her Own

While Ashanti likes to work out with a trainer, she also does exercises on her own. She revealed some of her tips to Parade. “I usually travel with my jump rope. I definitely try to do stuff when I'm not with my trainer and he’s always paying attention to what I am or am not doing though. When I’m not at home, he’ll text me a workout and I'll try to get it done. I’ll try to do crunches and jump rope and pushups and stuff on my own.”
5. She Eats Healthy Snacks

Ashanti revealed some of her favorite healthy snacks to Parade. “I’m really into green juices,” she starts. “I'm actually drinking one now. And I’ll make a plant-based protein smoothie to snack on in between as well. I also like the No Cow bars. The raspberry one is the best.”
