She Doesn't Want to Promote a "Distorted" Perception of Beauty

"I figured it was time for a zero makeup, straight out of the shower, selfie for all of you non plastic surgery non filterers… you are naturally beautiful…. It's important that an honest portrayal of women is communicated because the younger generation has a distorted perception of reality, beauty and expectations….#keepitreal #thisisme," Bethenny captioned the selfie.

2

She Avoids Dieting

Bethenny doesn't promote any fad diets. "I'm old enough to know that fat-free was a craze, low-carb, eat your weight in meat and cheese was a phase, keto is a fad, the Zone was a moment, and so on …. so yes, I eat carbs. I eat everything, but I don't binge," she told Good Housekeeping.

She Eats Two Meals a Day

Instead, Bethenny focuses on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. "What I eat has no consistency," she told Good Housekeeping. "Today, it was an egg white vegetable omelet with a baked potato and a few french fries for lunch. Sometimes, it's arugula with tomato, avocado, and Parmesan. Pureed soups are a mainstay for me."

4

She Has a Relaxed Approach to Fitness

Bethenny refuses to stress out about exercise. "My philosophy on eating and exercise is to do what you can when you can," she explained in a 2019 Instagram post. "If I'm near a beach, I take an hour walk. If I have the time, I'll do a yoga DVD. I don't believe in fear based, torturous, aggressive exercise. Life is too short and stressful to dread doing something for an hour. In addition, extreme exercise creates extreme hunger."

Sleep and Family Come First

Bethenny has her priorities in order, choosing self-care and family over her career. "I choose time with my daughter and sleep first," she revealed.

6

She Doesn't Binge

Bethenny avoids binge eating. "I love food and eat whatever I want but I NEVER binge," she said in the same Instagram post. "I don't beat myself up about what I've eaten or praise myself about what I haven't. Food isn't your best friend or your enemy. It's just food. I have a good relationship with it."

These Activities Help Her Relax

Bethenny's life is busy but she takes time to chill out. "People always ask me if I ever relax….I'm very insular & I love to hit pause & heal. Beach walks, swimming, sleep & selfcare are my therapy," she wrote on Instagram.

She Sets Daily and Weekly Resolutions

Bethenny is all about goal setting, one day or week at a time. "Being a mother has infinitely changed my perspective. I don't believe in new year's resolutions but I do believe in daily and weekly resolutions: to be a better person, parent, philanthropist, and partner. I strive for peace and balance in all areas of my life. We certainly won't achieve perfection but the journey outweighs the destination. We are constantly growing and evolving on our own and with those around us," she wrote in a recent post on Instagram, adding the caption #noglamnofilter.
