1

Run

Britney is a big fan of hitting the pavement. "I run a lot," Britney recently told fans on Instagram. A 155 pound person running at 10 MPH can burn a whopping 562 calories in 30 minutes, per Harvard Health. And, research, has found it is also effective for building muscle, lowering your risk of heart disease, improving your sleep, and may even promote longevity.

2

Be Mindful of What You Eat

Britney explained in the same Instagram post that she tries to "eat clean" and be "mindful" with her food. What does clean eating entail? Consuming fresh, unprocessed, and wholesome foods—for example, no white flour or sugar–over processed foods. The Mediterranean Diet, consistently ranked the best diet in the world, is a good example of a clean diet.

Britney is all about cheat meals, "like last night when I ate a container of peanuts," she wrote in her post. A weekly "cheat meal" isn't a bad idea, per science. First, it can help boost your metabolism and ward off feelings of deprivation—improving not only your ability to lose weight, but your ability to stick to your diet plan as well. And, a 2017 study published in the International Journal of Obesity found that people on diets who took a two-week break from their low-calorie meal plan were more successful in losing weight than those who dieted consistently.

4

Strengthen Up

Britney chooses strength over skinniness. After recently losing weight she admitted that she feels better when she is strong. "I might look better but I felt too vulnerable in my skin being this small," she explained in her post, adding that she "didn't like it."

Fight

Britney is big into boxing, which Harvard Health maintains is a great way to build strength, improve balance, posture, hand-eye coordination, boost mood and endurance as well as increase alertness. "I started boxing so now I feel stronger too," she admitted.

6

Do Yoga

Spears is a fan of various types of yoga, including acro yoga, which she has demonstrated in a few Instagram videos showing off her moves with her fiancé. "According to the American Psychological Association, one of the best things that you can do to manage stress is to exercise regularly. If you're not very active or have mobility limitations, yoga is very adaptable. A common misconception is that you have to be super flexible to do it. You don't. You also don't need fancy equipment, a membership to an exclusive studio or clothing with premium price tags. What you will need is a lot of patience, the ability to laugh at yourself from time to time and a willingness to block out your ego," says the Cleveland Clinic.

Dance

Many of Spears' Instagram videos involve her dancing. In one of the most recent videos of herself dancing to Beyonce, she wrote, "I danced all day yesterday to Beyonce! Project Rose was inspired by her!"

Do Isolated Movements

Spears is a big fan of repetition and isolated movements when it comes to exercise.  "I don't like doing too much cardio," she says on Instagram. "My body has muscle memory, cus I use it be [sic] gymnast and I can bulk up …. so I like isolated movement. The key to my workout is repetition, but that gets boring so I have a booklet I've made with all my favorite exercises. I usually wear headphones …. music takes me away ."
