1

Do Change Your Lifestyle

Chantel doesn't treat her diet like a trend. She told the Daily Mail that "eats pretty healthy" but explained that her approach is "not really dieting." Instead, she puts her focus on maintaining a healthy balance 365 days per year. "'There's things I don't eat, and it's become a lifestyle. I have problems with a lot of different foods and when I eat them I don't feel so good so I try to stick to exactly what I'm supposed to eat so that I don't feel sick and then I just stay in shape because everything's pretty healthy."

Don't Consume Sugar, Dairy, and Gluten

Chantel avoids eating three things. "I try to stay away from sugar as much as possible," she added to the Daily Mail. "I don't eat dairy or gluten because I'm allergic." Why health experts are on the fence about dairy and gluten, most agree that sugar isn't good for you.  In one review of literature published in PLOS Medicine, authors analyzed 18 scientific conclusions drawn from systematic reviews of studies on the link between sugar-sweetened beverage consumption and weight gain or obesity, with 10 out of 12 finding that sodas and other sugary beverages could be a risk factor from weight gain.

Do Exercise After Eating

Chantel maintains that getting in a little exercise after eating can promote digestion. "'Whenever I'm home, every time I finish a large meal I like to go for a nice walk. It's good to digest your food and clear your head anyways," she told Daily Mail.

She eats lots of turkey bacon, coconut, olives, avocado, ground turkey, eggs, kale, mushroom, peppers, spinach, fish, chia seeds, and cauliflower rice.

Chantel drinks a lot of water to stay hydrated. In her food diary she revealed that she tries not to drink her calories (so no fruit juice) and instead drinks "lots of water." "So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? Per the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, an adequate daily fluid intake is about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men or bout 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women, says the Mayo Clinic.
