1. She Doesn’t Pay Attention to Social Media Comments
Dua has discussed how trolling of a dance video she shared on social media early in her career damaged her mental health. Ever since, she has struggled with social media. “Of course it got to me. I was at a point where I was so happy, I was doing everything that I wanted to, but then there were people who made me feel like maybe I wasn't good enough or I didn't deserve to be there, I wasn't cut out to be a musician. I realized that what anyone says doesn't actually matter. It was something that I learned during the period of writing Future Nostalgia — I was able to shut people out,” she told NPR. “Now, if anybody says anything, it doesn't even bother me. Nothing even cuts through, because I realized that if you're passionate about something and you're good at your job and you write from the heart, no one can take that away from you. I had to take myself off Twitter, but if that's going to help me and my mental health and allow me to thrive in whatever way I choose to, that has been a saving grace.”
2. She Does Yoga
During a 73 Questions interview with Vogue, Dua revealed that she "always, always" travels with her yoga mat. "What's the most difficult yoga pose that you've mastered?" the interviewer Joe Sabia asked her. She revealed that it was Crow pose into a headstand, which involves balancing your knees on your elbows as you crouch forward on your hands, eventually transforming into a headstand. She then demonstrates the pose, wearing heels and jeans.
3. She Prioritizes Self-Care
Dua is incredibly busy, between touring, award shows, recording, and traveling. How does she keep herself mentally sound? She prioritizes self-care. “Make sure to take time for yourself to stay grounded in the midst of all this craziness,” she told Vogue. She also prioritizes getting enough sleep.

Dua eats healthy most of the time. "I try and stay as healthy as possible whenever I can," she dished to Urban List. "I'm never one to stop myself having treats, I do love naughty treats. But I try and limit it to days when I'm not as busy, because if I do eat a doughnut it usually puts me in a food coma!" Some of her other favorite eats and drinks? When it comes time to hit the gym, Dua prefers short but intense bursts of exercise. She told Vogue that she does 15-minute intervals of mountain climbers, jumping jacks, and burpees. "It's high-intensity interval training, but it's so quick, it's over before it's even started!" she said. "I'm still trying to see what my boundaries are and how far I can push myself and when I need to rest.”
