No vacation for Pozo is complete without fresh fruit, especially pineapple. "Fruits and vegetables both come packaged with innumerable health benefits we have only begun to define," says Dana Hunnes, PhD, RD, senior dietitian at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Pozo loves cooking vegetables such as carrots and potatoes. "About ½ cup of raw carrots has 51% daily value of vitamin A," says Anna Taylor, MS, RD, LD, CDE. "This vitamin A content actually comes from provitamin A carotenoids which help your body fight infections."

She Loves To Ski

Pozo enjoys skiing trips with her family. "Yes, I was very happy skiing with my daughters and now here on the beach enjoying the sun," she says. "I always do this trip with my daughters, since they were little I took them skiing and I didn't want to break the tradition."

When it comes to relationships, Pozo trusts her intuition. "I am a serious person," she says. "I was alone for four years, because when I give my heart to someone it is serious, that's how I am, I don't judge other people who have partners very quickly. God will say."

Pozo takes care of her mental health through regular therapy sessions. "There are things that have left marks on you and there is nothing better than seeking professional help," she says. "I have had therapy all my life and I still have it, because it is good to talk to a third party who is prepared, to receive advice that can help you in every aspect of your life."
