Kelly Rowland in Bathing Suit Celebrates 41st Birthday

Kelly Rowland, singer, TV personality, legend, is celebrating her 41st birthday in style. Rowland posted a stunning new video on Instagram of herself enjoying a double chocolate cupcake. She wore a black one-piece swimsuit, a towel over her hair, and shades. She also spent time in a bubble bath, and posed in a stunning strapless red dress. Rowland captioned the video, "MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW"—and she had a fun one on the actual day, too. (It was Friday.) "1st Annual 40th Birthday Behavior!!" she captioned the Friday post. She Doesn't Diet, She Just Eats Clean

In a video interview with PopSugar, with her trainer Jeanette Jenkins, Rowland was asked about her diet. The singer responded that she doesn't have a specific diet, and she just tries to eat healthy and take care of herself. "I never like to say 'diet'," Rowland said. "I like to say 'eating clean', and you know, listening to your body, and knowing what your body responds to." Rowland says that she likes to eat greens and fish, and avoids heavy food.

She Enjoys Working Out

Rowland tells HollywoodLife.com that one of her workout secrets is that she actually loves to exercise. "I like working out," she said. "I genuinely love working out. I love the way I feel when I'm working out. I love the fact that I'm taking the time to pour back into myself. Workouts for me are a time for [myself] and I get to pour back into myself and I love that."

She Loves Pilates

One of Rowland's favorite ways to exercise is by doing Pilates. In fact, she even has her own Pilates DVD. Rowland told Health that Pilates helped her lose the weight she gained from pregnancy. "For keeping my abs together, basically after I had my son it was super tough on my body. I definitely do Pilates. It just keeps the core tight, brings the abs in, the breathing, it's just fantastic."

She's Comfortable With Her Body

Rowland tells Health that, while she hasn't always been comfortable with her body, she's learned to accept herself, no matter what she looks like. "I stay body positive by taking care of my body and just being comfortable with the body that God gave me and that continues to evolve," says Rowland. "How I became comfortable with my body is understanding that no one looks like me. I kept comparing myself to so many other women who didn't look like me, and I had to embrace me and all my flaws."

She Makes Time For Herself

Despite her busy schedule, Rowland tells Health that she prioritizes her me-time. "I practice self care by meditating, I practice self care by spending days by myself sometimes, even if I'm just in the shower. I just try to take time for me."
