1

She Loves Poached Eggs

One of Latorre's favorite go-to meals is poached eggs on avocado toast. "Eggs are one of the best dietary sources of choline," says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. "This little talked about nutrient is needed by everyone of us for the formation of cell membranes and for brain function, including memory. It's especially important during pregnancy and breast feeding, when an adequate supply of choline is essential for normal brain development."

2

She Enjoys Seafood

Latorre is a big fan of fresh seafood, especially sushi and sashimi. "For many years, the American Heart Association has recommended that people eat fish rich in unsaturated fats at least twice a week," says the Mayo Clinic. The unsaturated fats in fish are called omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients in fish may benefit heart health and reduce the risk of dying of heart disease."

3

She Loves Yogurt

Latorre enjoys snacking on probiotic-loaded yogurt, which experts say offer many health benefits. "Plain, nonfat yogurt is best," says Julia Zumpano, RD. "Both original and Greek-style are excellent sources of protein, calcium and probiotics."

4

She Skis

Skiing is one of Latorre's favorite vacation activities. "Exercise can be a mental distraction from worrisome thoughts. We also know that being out in nature generally enhances our sense of well-being, so exercise that takes place outdoors, such as skiing in this study, should be especially helpful," says James Maddux, a professor emeritus in the department of psychology at George Mason University in Virginia. "Engaging in a period of exercise can lead to a sense of accomplishment and a greater sense of self-efficacy (or self-confidence) that can lead to lower anxiety." "several potential explanations that make sense."

5

She Loves Horseback Riding

Latorre loves horseback riding, something that is not only fun but has great mental and physical health benefits. "Riding a horse for 45 minutes at a walk, trot and canter can burn up to 200 calories," says Dr. Dennis Sigler, a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service horse specialist and professor in the department of animal science at Texas A&M University in College Station. "If you do something a bit more strenuous such as cutting or reining, that can come out to nearly seven calories per minute for the entire length of the riding period."
