Meadow Walker, the American model, poses in nice clothes for a living and now she’s showing off a look of her own—a selfie in a swimsuit. The budding icon, the only daughter of the late Paul Walker (she continues his work through the charitable Paul Walker Foundation), looked toned as usual and captioned it with a simple shrug emoji. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Meadow Walker stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves Yoga

Yoga helps Walker stay centered and flexible. One study, in the Journal of Physical Therapy Science, looked at older women who did Hatha yoga once a week and found “that the applied yoga exercises increased spinal mobility and flexibility of the hamstring muscles regardless of age. Yoga exercises should be recommended to the elderly to make their muscles more flexible and to increase the range of motion in the joints, which is particularly important for improving their life quality.”

2. She Says “Do What Makes You Feel Good About Yourself”

"Do what makes you feel good about yourself and try to shut out the rest," Walker told Vogue. "I'm not the most confident person in the world, but I have to bring myself back to that. If you keep those feelings of insecurity and not feeling confident in your head too long, it becomes so real."

3. She Meditates

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - February 16, 2022Gilbert Carrasquillo/GC Images

“Mindfulness is one of the most popular meditation techniques. It has two main parts: attention and acceptance,” says the American Psychological Association. “The attention piece is about tuning into your experiences to focus on what's happening in the present moment. It typically involves directing your awareness to your breath, your thoughts, the physical sensations in your body and the feelings you are experiencing. The acceptance piece involves observing those feelings and sensations without judgment. Instead of responding or reacting to those thoughts or feelings, you aim to note them and let them go.”

4. She Enjoys Acupuncture

“Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance.”

5. This is Her Earliest Beauty Memory

“Growing up and seeing my cousins, who were really just my mum's friend’s kids. They were quite a bit older than me. I was seven and they were probably 12, and I remember always seeing them with their makeup and I was like, ‘I want to use it,’ but I was too little. I thought it was so glamorous—the clear mascara and those flavored lip glosses,” she told Vogue.

1. She Is Into “Natural Holistic Medicine”

“I’m really into wellness, especially natural holistic medicine,” Walker told Vogue in 2021. “I love acupuncture, yoga and meditation. I work with a healer who practices Chinese medicine and we're doing breathwork, which is much more difficult than I thought.”

2. She Does Yoga

While she hasn’t spoken much about her yoga practice, Meadow has struck a pose on occasion via Instagram. She recently captioned a photo of herself behind the scenes at a photoshoot showing off her moves with the caption “bts backbends with my favorites.”

3. She Eats Right

Part of Meadow’s holistic approach to health is maintaining a nutritious and clean diet. “Eating healthily and what feels best for you is also important,” she told Vogue.

4. Crystals Are Part of Her Self-Care

In addition to taking “really good care” of her skin and soaking in the tub, Meadow is “really into” crystals. “I grew up with crystals in the house and I actually have my dad's entire collection, probably more than 30—including massive ones the size of a laptop—in my apartment,” she told Vogue. “I’ve been putting them out in the moonlight and charging them for as long as I can remember.”

5. She Talks Out Her Insecurities

Universal Pictures "F9" World Premiere - ArrivalsRich Fury/WireImage

Meadow maintains that being honest with others about what is going on helps keep her grounded. “Do what makes you feel good about yourself and try to shut out the rest,” she told Vogue when asked about the self-confidence advice she gives people. “I'm not the most confident person in the world, but I have to bring myself back to that. If you keep those feelings of insecurity and not feeling confident in your head too long, it becomes so real. It's good to talk to people, especially with someone you feel comfortable talking to who understands and knows you. They will be able to recognize the things that make you happy and what you like about yourself.”

6. She Is a Water Baby

Walker, who grew up in Hawaii, is a true water baby. She loves pools and the ocean, regularly sharing photos of herself swimming and even scuba diving. "Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief," says the Mayo Clinic. "Swimming is easy on the joints, and it's very good for both cardiac health and your core strength. And it also can give you really excellent strength around the shoulders, and hips and knees," says Dr. Matthew Crowe, a Mayo Clinic orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert.

Ashley Benson, star of Her Smell and Spring Breakers, wore a swimsuit this week and why not? It’s basically summertime, if you check out what celebs like Suki Waterhouse, Aleida Nuñez, Becca Edwards, Sammi Hanratty, Kate Hudson and Shama Sikander are up to. How do they stay so fit? 1. Ashley Benson

ashley-benson-swimsuitAshley Benson/Instagram

Benson finds peace in NYC. “In L.A., I had anxiety all the time with the paparazzi, and my house became my safe place,” she told Vogue. “It made me very codependent with friends and relationships. In New York, I can walk around and be by myself. It gives me a lot of peace.”

Translation: “🧘🏽‍♀️✨🙌 I want to share with you that I have practiced meditation for a long time and in this world full of uncertainty and anxiety it helps you create a state of consciousness and peace…#meditation never abandon your soul✨.”

3. Suki Waterhouse

Suki-Waterhouse-1Suki Waterhouse/Instagram

Suki once said about working out: “I do, I really enjoy it; I need to, I’m obsessed. I stopped working out recently as I was on a film and I was really tired and I then went to the gym a few times and found I was so much more able to perform with my body feeling that strength through it again. And mentally, I was going on set and able to do my job better as I felt stronger again. I do different things - I do Vinyasa yoga and I’ll work out with a trainer Dan Roberts in Richmond Park near where I live. I do drills and running there - it’s an amazing place. I love the idea of running up hills and rolling around in mud - it’s my favourite time of the week and Dan really pushes me. He’s hardcore. I also go to TriYoga and hot yoga (not Bikram) and I do occasional Pilates, which I should do more of."

4. Becca Edwards

The Ex on the Beach star is often getting some sun. Just remember: “Tanning under the sun or a sunlamp may give modest protection to those who are able to tan well. But the protection it gives does not come close to that derived from the use of a sunscreen. The larger issue is that any change in skin color from tanning is a sign of damage from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Repeated exposure to UV radiation — whether from the sun or a tanning bed — increases your risk of premature skin aging and skin cancer,” says the Mayo Clinic.

5. Sammi Hanratty

Yellowjackets’ Hanratty has used TRX bands during her workouts. “Suspension training does it all. It improves muscular strength and endurance while simultaneously improving joint mobility and flexibility. Due to the unstable nature of suspension training, the exercises constantly engage your core and improve your balance. There is no limit to the progressions you can do, and everyone from the most novice exercisers to the most advanced athletes can benefit from using the TRX Suspension Trainer,” says ACE Fitness.

6. Kate Hudson

“I’m definitely challenging myself in new ways, which I need,” she told People. “I like to be able to set new goals to see what I can accomplish, and I love how flexible and strong I feel after a good workout, especially doing Pilates, which never gets easier.”

7. Shama Sikander

Love with James Milliron helped Shama through a depression. “I had just met him. I was still going through my bouts of depression. I would get depressed every now and then. When I would go through these feelings I just did not want anybody around me, I wanted people around me, but I would just push them to go away from me. And nobody ever dared to go against that decision, everybody would leave. But he was the only one who did not leave,” she said, according to Pinkvilla.com.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Images of a woman saying no to plastic surgery.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

Fitness,,Sport,,Training,,Gym,And,Lifestyle,Concept,-,Group,OfShutterstock

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
