Nina Dobrev in Bathing Suit Uses These Wellness Secrets

Here are the star’s health secrets.

Nina Dobrev has been in the spotlight since she was a teenager. She first starred as a single-mom/cheerleader/model in the hit Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. She then starred on another hit teen drama, as the lead in the CW series, The Vampire Diaries. Dobrev currently stars in the new Netflix film, Love Hard. She Eats Until She's Full

Dobrev tells Women's Health that she isn't about starving herself or limiting her portions. In fact, she actually says that she eats more than people think, and that this helps her body a lot. "I feel healthier. You're happier when your body is full," she explains. "Your brain functions better, and you're a nicer person. I would get hangry, I think, because I was so busy running around that I wasn't the best version of myself." 


She's More Conscious About Her Wellness

Dobrev says to Women's Health that she is a lot more conscious about what she eats and what she does to workout than she previously was. "I'm getting older and more conscious of what I eat and how I eat it and what I do," she says.


She Switches Up Her Workouts

Dobrev says that she likes to try a lot of different workouts, not just for fun, but also for the results. She explains to Women's Health, "Doing something different [when working out each day] has been the most fun, and I've seen the most benefit because you shock your system." 


She Gets Her Workouts In After Breakfast

In a video for Harper's Bazaar, Dobrev describes her typical meals and daily routine. She says that she usually tries to get in a workout after breakfast. "I'll go to Pilates or I'll go for a run."


She Eats Healthy Snacks, A Lot


Dobrev tells Harper's Bazaar that she's a big snacker, but she makes sure to keep her snacks healthy. Dobrev says her typical snacks include, "Almonds, or these little MakeGood products and they have these little baggies with granola in them."


She Keeps A Strong Metabolism

In a "What I Eat In A Day" video for Harper's Bazaar, Dobrev admits that she tries to eat a lot, especially in the afternoons, which she says helps with her metabolism. "There was a period of time that I was working with a trainer, who told me you have to eat every two hours, so that your metabolism keeps working," she explains.
