The 27-year-old star shared inspirational photos of herself on Instagram, including one of herself wearing a patterned bathing suit and black mesh coverup. "…and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough? - Vincent van Gogh,” she captioned her introspective post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Khan stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Spinach and Turmeric

Khan’s diet has moved on since the days where she says she ate pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. These days she starts the day with turmeric, spinach, and hot water. “It’s one of the main ingredients in a curry sauce — it’s potent, pungent, bitter and very earthy,” says Nicole Hopsecger, RD. “I always think of that curry smell as being what turmeric tastes like. You can buy the spice ground these days from many supermarkets and spice stores, or you can buy the fresh root and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can then peel, and chop or grate to use in your recipes.”

2. Eggs and Chicken

Khan’s meals are based around eggs and chicken “all day” when she’s working. “Eggs are rich in protein, which is more filling than either fat or carbohydrate,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “As a food choice, eggs score well, being high on the satiety index, a measure of how filling a food is. In fact, studies show that an egg breakfast is more sustaining than the equivalent calorie counted carb breakfast and, what’s more, may help reduce your calorie intake later in the day.”

3. Cucumbers For a Healthy Snack

Heap,Of,Fresh,Sliced,Cucumbers,On,An,Old,Wooden,TableShutterstock

Khan enjoys cucumbers for a healthy, convenient snack. “Like any vegetable, cucumbers have health benefits, and even if they may not be as well-known as say, kale, it doesn’t mean they aren’t there,” says Jessica Perez, RD. “They can help with weight loss in the sense that if you fill up more on them, you’ll be less likely to eat junk foods since they can be a very filling food.”

4. Morning Workouts

Khan likes to work out first thing in the morning, with Pilates being her favorite exercise. “Doing your workout early in the morning helps you avoid distractions that prevent exercise later in the day and just check it off your list,” says Stephen Noel Henry, DO. “And it provides benefits for your body for the rest of the day… If you start your day with a good expenditure of energy, it seems to increase melatonin levels later in the day. This sets your internal clock in a way that promotes healthy sleep patterns and gets you into a good routine each night.”

5. Greek Yogurt

Khan enjoys fat-free Greek yogurt with a scoop of protein, and a cup of coffee as a post-workout snack. “Greek yogurt labeled as containing live cultures provides beneficial bacteria known as probiotics, which when eaten regularly may support gut health,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “Regular inclusion of fermented foods, such as yogurt, appears to increase the bacterial diversity in the gut. However, be sure to select unsweetened yogurt because sugar may have a detrimental effect on gut diversity.

Sara Sampaio, the Portuguese model, is already a Victoria's Secret Angel and the face of Michael Kors' fragrance Gorgeous, and now she has a new achievement: 8 million followers on Instagram. She celebrated with a swimsuit video of her drawing the number in the sand with her finger. “8 Million of you!!! Thank you for coming on this journey with me! ❤️,” she captioned it. 1. This is Her Exercise Routine

Her exercise routine “...during quarantine was zero, but I usually work out at the DogPound. I’ve built a gym in my house, with a Peloton and everything and free weights but it’s so hard to get the willpower to work out when I’m by myself. A personal trainer just helps me get…off the couch,” she told Elle.

2. She Likes Small Movements That Produce Big Results

“I’ve been doing a lot of SLT," a workout that promises to "strengthen (your core), lengthen (your limits) and tone (your body)," according to the founders, hence the initials. "It’s like a really intense Pilates with a machine. I’ve noticed with my body that small movements have done more for my body than the boot camps. My body moves better when it’s very focused on small movements that elongate your body and your muscles,” she told the Cut.

3. This is Her Take on Eating

“I’m a big believer in not doing crazy diets and not to stop eating what makes you happy or what you like. It’s all about balance. If you’ve had a long day and you really want a burger, just have that burger or pizza and maybe for lunch the next day you have fish with vegetables or salad with chicken,” she told the Cut.

4. Here’s How She Deals With Stress

“I’m still trying to figure this out. I suffer from a lot of anxiety and depression, I’m on medication which really helps but there’s still some anxiety. For me, what works the best is learning when I need my own space and my own time and if I just need to spend the whole day watching TV, that’s what I’m going to do. Putting those kinds of needs in front of constantly having to do something because if you’re not, you’re not working hard enough. Baths really help and sometimes it really is just sitting in front of the TV eating a bag of popcorn or just sleeping,” she told Elle.

5. She Has Learned to Love Her Body

She has learned to love her body. “I really learned to take my body for what it is; love it if I put on weight, love it if I lose weight - we’re all human beings, we fluctuate but I used to be really hard on myself. It’s one of those things when you’re in your formative years, you really take it personally,” she told Elle, “but now I’m like, I’ve put on weight this quarantine and my” chest “grew and I’m like this is great!”

Khan works with personal trainer Namara Purohit to keep herself in shape. Purohit says that Khan loves their sessions together, and always has a ton of interest in working out. “She walks into sessions all pumped up,” Purohit said to Vogue. “The best thing about working out with her is that she gives it her all. Sometimes, I catch her looking at me with a ‘Why are you doing this to me' face, but I know, and she knows, that she loves doing this. She is always game for trying new things and has the most fun with new exercises.”

2. She Lets Her Outfits Motivate Her

Motivation is a big part of working out, and motivation can come from anywhere. For Khan, it comes from her workout clothing. “I think that the perfect wardrobe has to include things that you’re comfortable in,” she says to Vogue. “Workout gear is not just about the fact that you’re working out. Most people don’t want it restricted to the gym, you can go out for lunch also in your workout gear.”

3. She Loves Yoga

Khan is a big fan of practicing yoga as a way to stay in shape. She also posts several photos on Instagram of herself doing yoga. She tells Vogue, “My yoga time is my me time... and of course, consistency is key... so, keep at it people.” “It’s the American way — better, harder, faster competition and that’s totally the opposite of what yoga is. Yoga is about being in the moment. Not competing, not judging but listening to our body. It’s about developing the practice of doing the best you can each day without hurting yourself. Some days are balanced. Some days, we’re not as flexible. And with that overriding acceptance, we learn from ourselves," yoga therapist and yoga program manager, Judi Bar, tells the Cleveland Clinic.

4. She’s Comfortable With Herself

Khan says to Idiva that she is extremely comfortable with herself and with her body, no matter where she is in life. She says that she is always looking forward to the future that awaits her. “I’m the kind of person who looks back but moves ahead. I am not going to look back and think that’s the way I want to be. It was in the past when size zero became such a huge phenomenon. I did it when I had to play a role. I was only a 26-year-old so it was great for the time. For now, I feel fit and amazing. I am 41 today and I feel good about myself.”

5. She Doesn’t Listen To Others

Khan tells Idiva that she doesn’t pay attention to what people think about her and her life. She says that she just focuses on herself, and that she doesn’t listen to trolls and haters. “You have to be confident and happy. Nobody else in the world should matter. Whether trolls are trolling or people are commenting...these things aren’t important. What’s important is the way you look at yourself.”

Jen Heward is a fitness influencer. A few weeks ago, she shared a workout she did while she was pregnant on Instagram. In it, Heward is seen doing things like lunges, bicep curls, and modified push-ups. Heward captioned the post, “Always picking wedgies 🐫🤣 Killer full body burn 🔥 from the drafts!! Little did I know I was going to have a baby 2 weeks from the day this was filmed 🥹 I actually haven’t done a full body since this workout 🤣 I’m inspired by my own videos to get back into it again 💪🏼”

She Strength Trains

In her Instagram post, Heward is seen doing exercises with weights. This has a lot of benefits. ACE Fitness states, “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Does Lunges

Jen Heward doing lateral lunges

Another exercise that Heward is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Core Workouts

Heward likes to do core workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared some of her favorite core exercises with ankle weights in this Instagram post. Heward captioned it, “Strengthening these hips and core back postpartum 🔥 plus quite a few of you were asking for some inner thigh exercises! SAVE 4 LATER. It might not look like much for core, but you need a whole lot of deep core stability for these leg exercises. This way you hit more than one muscle group at a time! The workout took me 30 min but had me 🥵”

She Does Pull-Ups

Heward shared this workout video on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing pull-ups. According to Gymless, it can be very beneficial to do these. “Pull-ups are one of the most fundamental calisthenics exercises that build up your strength and endurance in the upper body. It is commonly used as a form of physical test from schools all the way up to the military. Many athletes from all sports backgrounds use pull-ups in their training, which makes this one of the best exercises for building the upper body and developing a bigger and stronger back.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

Heward is also seen doing hip thrusts in the previous Instagram link. Gymless says that these are very beneficial for your glutes. “Strong glutes are not only for aesthetic appeal; they serve a key functional purpose in supporting the posterior chain of muscles around the spine. Hip thrusts are also known for their capacity to develop and define glute muscles, contributing to their popularity on social media. After all, who doesn’t appreciate the look of a well-crafted pair of glutes?”

Brooke Ence is a fitness expert, and is the founder of From The Farm USA. She shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. Recently, Ence shared a video of herself doing interval weight training. In it, she is seen doing things like burpees, deadlifts, and sit-ups. Ence captioned the post, “So here’s one of my favorite ways to break a sweat. 🔥 It’s challenging, mentally engaging, and interval style, which always keeps it fun.”

She Lifts Weights

As you can see from her Instagram video, Ence likes to lift weights to keep herself in shape. She shares a lot of other posts of herself using weights. According to ACE Fitness, lifting weights has a lot of health benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Deadlifts

Ence is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this exercise has a lot of benefits. “One significant benefit of the RDL is that it teaches clients how to lift from the hips instead of using the lower back. The base move of the RDL is the standing hip hinge, which is an important component of learning how to squat correctly. The first move during the lowering phase of the squat should be the hips moving back in a flexed position. Back pain is often associated with not using the hips properly when squatting or bending over to pick an object up off of the ground. Teaching clients how to lift safely in the gym means they m

Burpees workout your entire body and are great for building strength and burning calories.”

She Does Sit-ups

Brooke does AMRAP sit-ups

Brooke Ence/Instagram

Another exercise that Ence is seen doing in her Instagram video is sit-ups. The Cleveland Clinic says that sit-ups are very beneficial. “Sit ups are essential for strengthening your core — something that’s obvious. But your core is responsible for so much more than those classic ‘six pack’ abs many strive for. A strong core can reduce back pain, improve balance and increase your flexibility. Core muscles also support your hips and pelvis. Finally, a strong core will help you build good posture.”

She Jumps Rope

Another thing that Ence does to keep herself in shape is jump rope. She shared a photo on Instagram of herself jumping rope for an interval. Ence captioned it, “Got snapped 📸 during my training day.
