1. Build a Support System

“It’s so important to have a good support system,” Sessilee told Essence about one of the secrets to her success. “My mom has always been one hundred percent behind me, and I don’t think I’d be where I am today with her advice and encouragement.”

2. Hit the Gym

If you want a hot body like Sessilee, you will have to work out for it. “I run like crazy on the treadmill. I go literally until I can’t run anymore, and then I work on my stomach,” she told WWD. How much should you work out? Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

3. Box

Sessilee loves fighting for fitness. “What did @coachhernan say? ‘It's ugly until it's not, so keep doing it repeatedly and then do it again.’ or some sh*t like that,” she captioned a recent post from her grueling training session. Boxing has many health benefits because it “constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs.”

4. Don’t Make Excuses

Sessilee doesn’t make excuses when it comes to exercise. She even worked out after suffering a recent injury. “This boot was made for slaying,” she captioned a post. “Don’t forget to move today,” she captioned another post.

5. Cook

Another way Sessilee ensures healthy living is by cooking her own meals. The model loves preparing food for herself and the family. “What’s your favourite thing to cook?” she asked in one caption.
