Taylor Swift, To Lady Gaga, To Sabrina Carpenter, Here Are 2025’s Hottest Albums

2025 has given us some amazing music. From new albums, to comebacks, to tours, we have been fed this year, especially from our favorite pop divas. If you were to hear any of these women talk about the process of recording and writing, you’ll clearly see that all their albums were clearly thought out. Here are 7 of the year’s hottest pop divas talking about their upcoming projects and tours.

This week, Taylor announced her new album The Life Of A Showgirl, which will be released on October 3. She shared the 12 tracks, album artwork, and revealed that she will be collaborating with Max Martin, Shellback, and Sabrina Carpenter. Taylor talked about the album on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights. “It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, so that effervescence has come through on this record.”

Sabrina Carpenter will be releasing her second album, Man’s Best Friend, on August 29, almost a year after she released her debut album Short ‘N Sweet. At the beginning of June, she released the album’s debut single, “Manchild”, a country inspired ditty that likely alluded to her ex, Barry Keoghan. Sabrina talked about her excitement for the record with Rolling Stone. “I’m living in the glory of no one hearing it or knowing about it, and so I can not care. I can not give a f*** about it, because I’m just so excited.”
Beyonce

Beyonce’s album Cowboy Carter may have come out last year, but it’s still making a big impact. The album won Album of The Year at the Grammys, an award that has alluded Beyonce for years. She’s also currently touring it, and is wearing some gorgeous outfits. Beyonce worked with Donatella Versace on her wardrobe for the tour, and Donatella talked about the process to People Magazine. “When you design something for the catwalk, it is one thing, but then when you see Beyoncé bring a look to life and make it move so incredible on the stage, that gives me the greatest pleasure. She is a goddess, one of the nicest people on the planet and a true superstar. I can see the clothes giving her confidence and I can see how she uses them to enhance the performance.”

After releasing “Die With A Smile” with Bruno Mars and “Disease” last year, Lady Gaga returned in 2025 in full-force with her album Mayhem. She debuted the song and video for “Abracadabra” at the Grammys. Gaga talked about her process in an interview with Teen Vogue. “I would say that my mental health always played a really powerful role in making music,” she says. “Because it was always when I was at my lowest that I wanted to sing. And that meant that I was feeling that way pretty often, because I sang a lot. I would write music and sing from a place of feeling lost, and it would help me ground myself and find my own voice to tell my story.”

Addison Rae dropped her first full-length album, Addison this year. It includes hits like “Diet Pepsi”, “Aquamarine”, “High Fashion”, and “Fame Is A Gun.” She talked about the process and what she wanted the album to feel like with the Grammys website. “Before I made any of the music, I was like, ‘What colors do I want to feel from the album’,” Addison says. “Really early on — before ‘Diet Pepsi,’ the first song we made for the album — I had found shades of colors that I liked, and I printed them out and put them in a binder. It was this pretty aqua, then it was hot pink, super sunshiny yellow, a tone of green, and then a really beautiful vibrant blue. That told me that I wanted the album to be a lot of different things and not just one thing, and so that gave me a weird sense of guidance.”

2025 has been a breakout year for Tate McRae. After her lead single, “It’s Ok, I’m Ok” did so well last year, her third album, So Close To What has become her most successful yet. It includes songs like “Sports Car” and “Revolving Door.” Tate also just began her tour. She talked about writing the album to Junkee. “Writing dance records is so fun and [it’s] exciting to envision how it would look on tour and what I’m gonna do to it,” she says. “There’s also the songwriter part of me that needs… to be able to use songwriting as therapy and feel like it captures an important part of the story.”

Miley Cyrus released her visual album Something Beautiful and a film of the same name this year. She talked about her writing process and what she wants people to think of her songs to Harper’s Bazaar. “The visual component of this is driving the sound,” she says. “It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty. They are the shadow, they are the charcoal, they are the shading. You can’t have a painting without highlights and contrast.”
