1. She Makes Smoothies
For breakfast, Swanepoel likes to make a fruit smoothie, full of antioxidants and healthy ingredients. She revealed her recipe to The Cut, “It contains coconut oil, flaxseed oil, banana, protein, some kind of antioxidant fruit like blueberries or strawberries, or some nut butter.” When it comes to nut butters, "ounce for ounce, almonds are one of the most nutritious nuts," Stephanie Middleberg, MS, RD, CDN of Middleberg Nutrition, told our sister site Eat This, Not That!, which adds: “They're a great source of riboflavin, magnesium, and manganese (which, she explains, is great for the prevention of osteoporosis as well as a healthy metabolism), and also provide an impressive amount of vitamin E per serving. By choosing almond butter as your spread, you'll also get flavonoids, compounds that are extremely useful in fighting heart disease and cancer.”
2. She Pays Attention To Her Portions

When it comes to her meals, Swanepoel pays close attention to her portion sizes, and says that she takes the time she’s eating into consideration. She tells InStyle, “One meal in the day will be lighter than others, probably during lunch I will [eat something] heavier so that my body has time to burn it off. Night-time is something lighter, and I will always have a big breakfast."
3. She Cut Out Coffee

After giving birth to her first child in 2017, Swanepoel told The Cut that she had to make changes to her lifestyle. One of these changes was not drinking coffee. "If you replace your coffee with a decaf tea or hot chocolate, it's a good way to reset your energy levels."

Swanepoel tells The Cut that she believes in a balanced diet, and still enjoys her favorite indulgences. “I'm that girl who orders the healthy plate with a side of fries. Your body is like a machine and everyone's is different. I know mine quite well."
5. She Does Circuit Training With A Personal Trainer

While working at Victoria’s Secret, Swanepoel worked with personal trainer Justin Gelbrand. Swanepoel did a lot of circuit training with him. Gelbrand told Pop Workouts, "Most of the [Victoria's Secret] girls are concerned about their butt, hips and thighs. I devise a circuit class based on all the different body parts."
