Ree Drummond is getting her sweat on in her workout clothes. In a new social media post The Pioneer Woman flaunts her slimmed down figure during a rowing session at home. “If I were any more athletic, it’d be a crime!” she captioned the Instagram Reel. “I’m sore watching you!!” commented one of her followers. “This is amazing,” added another. How did the 55-year-old slim down and get into shape? Here is what you need to know about her lifestyle habits, including everything she did to lose 50 pounds since 2021.

1. Hitting “Rock Bottom”

Ree told Entertainment Tonight the motivation behind her weight loss journey. "I have a cooking show, I write cookbooks, I have a cooking website. I have a restaurant, a bakery. So you know, it just kept creeping up and in January of this year, we took my son, Bryce, to college. And I tell this story, but I basically hit rock bottom eating chips and salsa one night,” she explained. “I went a little overboard, but I thought that night, 'I am going to start tomorrow, I am doing something different.' And I just started and I almost lost 60 pounds now." She was also motivated to get into shape for her daughter Alex’s wedding.

2. No Weight Loss Drugs

In a recent blog post on her website, Ree addressed rumors that she took weight loss drugs, "I did not take 'weight loss gummies' or other supplements." She added that there were "false articles/ads" on social media, adding, "not only does it rob people of money, it also falsely suggests a gummy/supplement can result in weight loss."

3. Not Relying on the Numbers

Ree didn’t rely on numbers during her weight loss journey. "I feel great and that's what matters. The scale was sort of a gauge for me that I was heading in the right direction. And it was never about I have to lose this amount, it's really about how I feel," she said.

4. Strength Training

Ree built her strength via strength training"I feel great, I have, I feel strong. Even when I was thinner, I don't think I ever have been a squatter or a lunger before. Not since my ballet days. So it's really nice to just kind of feel the muscles that I thought were gone forever,” she revealed. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

5. Portion Control

Ree practices portion control. "It changes your whole outlook just having the routine of exercise in your day and, you know, I still eat the foods that I cook my family. I still eat cake. I just eat a Rhode Island-sized piece instead of a Texas-sized piece,” she said.

6. Hiking

Ree hikes. “We made it to the top of Berry Picker. It took three hours, we went 3.8 miles, and we gained 1,838 feet of elevation. It was hard, oh so hard, and I griped a little, tried to quit once, and stopped a lot…but when we reached Eagle’s Nest, I had the very best burger, which I slathered unapologetically with mayonnaise and ketchup. I can’t feel my legs and my hips are killing me, but it gave Ladd and me a great new memory to cherish in our ripe old age. 😭 I love him, and am so happy and grateful he’s here with me. Okay, off to find some Bengay,” she captioned it. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

7. Rowing

In her recent Instagram post, Ree shows off her rowing skills. According to AFPA Fitness, a rowing machine exercises your upper body as well as your lower body. “The rowing stroke when using an indoor rower is composed of 65-75% leg work and 25-35% upper body work,” they say.

Lauren Drain is living it up in the tropics in her swimsuit. The fitness model shows off her incredibly fit figure in one of her latest social media posts, wearing a tiny bathing suit as she stands beside a swimming pool. “Vacation needed!” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lauren Drain stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Exercise Is Therapeutic for Her

Lauren, who famously escaped the Westboro Bible Baptist Church, which she grew up in, maintains that exercise is healing for her. “It was very therapeutic,” she told Fox News. “There were times in my life where I experienced a lot of anxiety and depression. For me, it was an amazing outlet. … I got my confidence from fitness and it’s really empowering. … As a nurse, I saw people at the bedside needing heart transplants, open-heart surgery. I really wanted to get on the preventative side of health care. And I just love empowering others.”

2. She Transformed Her Body in 2014

Lauren’s initial transformation happened in 2014 over a 14 week period. “I signed up for my first WBFF (World Beauty Fitness & Fashion) show and trained my ass off - literally. Remember, competition prep is not the same as normal training. I was able to cut through all my excess fat, which revealed the muscle definition I had underneath. I went from 135+ lbs to about 122 lbs,” she says on her website. “Since then, I've worked to build more muscle mass in all the ‘right’ places, becoming stronger, healthier, and happier in the process. The booty and legs you see now are not genetic blessings or surgical projects, they’re the product of hard work. I see girls on social media time and time again calling themselves fitness models, fit chicks, etc… when in reality, most of them were blessed at birth when they won the genetic lottery.”

3. She Follows an 80/20 Eating Plan

The,80/20,Rule,On,Brown,EnvelopeShutterstock

Lauren eats healthy most of the time. “I don't diet - I live an 80/20 lifestyle. Healthy eating 80% of the time and indulge in more fun foods the other 20%. I eat 4-5 meals a day anywhere from 1600-2400 cal depending on my training levels & body goals. Starvation & crash diets are not a solution,” she wrote on Facebook.

4. Her Workouts Are Intense

Lauren’s workouts are intense. She does a lot of strength and weight training exercises, similar to body building.

5. She Hikes

When she isn’t in the gym, you can find Lauren on long walks and hikes with her family. She regularly shares photos on social media of their expeditions. “Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between,” says the National Parks Service.

Here’s a look at how Grant stays in shape and the activities she enjoys most.

1. She Uses Ankle Weights

In her Instagram post, Grant is seen using ankle weights to do exercises like donkey kicks. Grant is also seen using a resistance band in her Instagram post. ACE Fitness states that these have a lot of benefits. “Muscle-strengthening workouts help improve blood pressure and lower your risk of hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart disease. In fact, research finds that strength training with resistance bands improves measures of heart health, including blood pressure, in the elderly.”

3. She Does Hip Thrusts

In her Instagram post, Grant is also seen doing hip thrusts. Gymless states that these can be very effective. “Hip thrusts, as a compound movement, aid in increasing lower body strength and power, enhancing athletic abilities such as running, jumping, and powerlifting. By strengthening the posterior chain muscles, you can enhance your posture and lower the risk of back pain and muscle strain.”

4. She Golfs

Keely Hodgkinson, a rising star in track and field, has made waves on the global stage. After winning silver in the 2021 Olympics, she clinched gold in the 800 meter at this year's Olympics, solidifying her status as a top athlete. Before her triumphant performance, Hodgkinson graced the pages of ELLE UK, sharing stunning photos from the shoot on Instagram with the caption, "This was so fun." Curious about how she maintains her peak physical condition? Read on to discover five ways Keely Hodgkinson stays in shape and see the photos that prove her methods work.

1. She Does A Split 800 Meter

Hodgkinson shared her training secrets with Runner’s World. She says that she splits the 800 meter up. “There's a session I do, which is usually the last one I’ll run before a championships. It’s a split 800m, so a 400m, 30 seconds’ rest, then another 400m. The outcome is very accurate in terms of telling you what you’re capable of. When I was at the Tokyo Olympics, I did that session beforehand and I split a 1:55.3, then ended up running 1:55.8. So it’s a really honest reflection of where you’re at.”

2. She Trains 7 Days A Week

Hodgkinson trains 7 days a week. She shared her routine with Runner’s World. “So, it’s cross training on Mondays. On Tuesdays, I’ll do a session on the cross trainer and then I’ll do a track session. Wednesdays involve a 30-minute run and 40 minutes on the cross trainer, plus some gym work. Thursdays are similar to Tuesdays, but with maybe more of a tempo-type session. I always have Fridays off, then Saturdays in the winter will be a longer session and in the summer a track session. Sundays in the winter will be hills, and in the summer I’ll do a 15-minute run.”

3. She Eats A Pre-Race Breakfast

Oatmeal,Porridge,In,White,Bowl,,Close,Up,View.Shutterstock

Hodgkinson shared her favorite pre-race breakfast with Runner’s World. “It’s probably one of those questions where nearly every athlete has the same answer, but I’d say porridge – and I always have a cup of tea. Then white toast. I’m usually the athlete who doesn’t have the snacks, although there will often be some granola lying around somewhere.”

4. She Enjoys Eating Healthy

Hodgkinson revealed to Runner’s World that she actually enjoys eating healthy. “I eat pretty well. I’m not really a person who craves takeaways or things like that, because they just don’t make me feel very good. My friends will say, ‘Let’s get a Chinese,’ but I’d rather just eat a chocolate bar, to be honest – that’s my thing. So I eat pretty well, not so much because I have to, but more because I like to. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and good carbohydrates, but there will always be a chocolate bar, too. I think I need the calories, to be honest.”

5. She Isn’t Bothered By What Others Think

Hodgkinson isn’t bothered by what others think of her. She told ELLE UK, “You can’t get overly bothered about what everyone else is doing. I think that’s good [to remember] in every aspect of life, whether it’s how you look or what job you have – if you’re just comparing, you’re going to be miserable.”

Caitlin Rice is sharing gratitude in her workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness influencer flaunts her famous figure in a one-piece catsuit. “Life is jut gooooood lately 🥹🥰😊🫶,” she captioned the post. “You're looking beautiful as always!🔥🔥😍😍🍑🍑💙💙,” commented one of her followers. “Absolutely Gorgeous 🔥💙” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. She Was “Skinny Fat” Before Finding Fitness

Caitlin used to model when she was 16. “My diet was absolutely horrible. The fashion industry put pressure on me to be rail thin so my diet ended up consisting of pretty much nothing. I was on the verge of an eating disorder, malnourished, and unhappy. I decided to get away from that lifestyle and focus on my education and career of becoming an international lawyer,” she told Mo Marketplace about how she got into fitness as a career. “I started doing a bit of cardio and a lot of partying! I was eating again but not very healthfully. I gained 15 pounds and was what I call ‘skinny fat.’ I had no muscle definition and a little belly from all the alcohol and bad food I was consuming. I decided it was time to turn things around. I stopped going out on the weekends and stopped partying.”

2. Weight Lifting

“I started hitting the weights and did a lot of research. I learned how to lift weights properly and quite simply fell in love with it. Lifting became a lifestyle and pretty much the best part of my day. I always strive for progress. Being fit is so much more than just looking good and having a good body,” she said.

3. Hiking

She also enjoys outdoor activities. “I absolutely love spending my time outside soaking up the sun, whether it be hiking or playing on the beach with my pup,” she says.

4. Exercise Classes

Three,Asian,Women,In,Pink,Sportswear,Doing,Side,Bends,OnShutterstock

Caitlin is all about exercise classes. “I absolutely love the gym and working out. I love finding new ways to get sweaty too! I’m always down to try a new class like Pilates or Barre,” she said.

5. Here Is What She Eats in a Day

Caitlin Rice.5Caitlin Rice/Instagram

Caitlin eats around 1800 calories. “I do track and manage everything to hit my exact macros. When I am not on a prep and dieting super hard, I am not as strict and don’t track, but to reach my current goals, tracking is necessary,” she says. “My breakfast is typically two whole eggs, a cup of egg whites with some veggies (onions and peppers), with a bowl of berries (1 cup or half a grapefruit). Meal number 2 is a small salad with lean ground turkey. Meal number 3 is one cup of brown rice, chicken, and broccoli. Meal number 4 is 6oz of sweet potato, salmon and asparagus. Meal 5 is a protein shake with all-natural peanut butter. No snacks in between!” she says.

6. Here Is Her Workout Split

“I am currently working with a coach so my recent workout split has been under his direction. I decided to work with a coach because it makes it so much easier than doing my own programming and I am accountable to someone else,” she says. “When I coach myself, I tend to be WAY more strict than necessary and then overwork myself. So It’s nice to have outside perspective and guidance. Even coaches need coaches! My current goals are to lose weight and get conditioned to possibly do my first ever fitness competition!”

Here is her workout split right now:

  • Monday: Back and Hamstrings
  • Tuesday: Shoulders and Abs
  • Wednesday: Leg day (glute focused)
  • Thursday: Arms and Abs
  • Friday: Full body HIIT/Plyos
  • Saturday: Legs- Quad focused
  • Sunday: Rest

Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
