The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and also a great form of cardio. In a new video shared by both of the stars, they break a sweat during an intense strength and weight training session. “Working out with the destroyer,” she captioned the clip. 1. Vegan Diet

María consumes zero animal products. Her veganism was inspired by her cat. “It might sound crazy but that’s how it all started,” she told Modern Wellness Guide. “I started thinking how crazy it was for me to love and care for my cat and at the same time pay for somebody to kill, cut, and package another animal who feels the same amount of pain, joy, happiness, and desires as my cat,” she said. “It’s a statement about peace, love, and kindness to every single being on the planet.” María’s vegan diet fuels her workouts. “It made me faster and stronger than ever and gave me all the energy I needed to wake up at 4 a.m., work out, and then go on a 16-hour work day,” she said.

2. Regular Hikes

You can often find María hiking, “one of the best ways to get exercise,” the National Parks Service says, Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

However, she makes sure to keep healthy snack on hand so she doesn’t reach for junk. “When I went fully vegan, I educated myself in terms of what to eat at different times and for different situations. Now I know that success comes with being prepared, so I don’t leave my place without nuts or fruit. It’s just that easy,” she told Modern Wellness Guide.

4. Strength and Weight Training

To get ready for Superman: Legacy she spent a lot of time at the gym: “Now you know why I’ve been working out like a crazy person.” Her routine consists of a lot of weight and strength training exercises, using hand weights and body weight.

María loves to cook. “It takes no time to cook some rice and roast some veggies,” she says. “Just eat what comes from the earth, like rice, quinoa, all types of beans, all kinds of veggies, all fruits, all the nuts,” she added, revealing that she also stays away from processed foods. “Make sure your food is full of color and life.”

She says that she does a variety of different things. “It’s a lot of heavy weights there, plus full body exercises and quite a bit of plyometric [exercises]. I start with heavy weights, and then I’ll do some lighter functional circuit, towards the end. All up, that takes an hour and a half to two hours… and sometimes when I finish a session I just lie on the ground.”

Jenneke also shared her diet secrets with Body & Soul. She shared her favorite breakfasts for training day. “It really depends on what my training day looks like, but if I’ve got training in the morning (which I often do at the moment) I’ll have cereal generally before I go out and train. Then, I actually love having a Milo after a hard session – it’s got good levels of protein and iron in it – and then I make myself a second breakfast, which could be muesli with yoghurt or bacon and eggs.”

3. She Dances

Jenneke likes to dance before a meet. "The dancing preparation is good," Jenneke said to The New Zealand Herald. "People see me doing a dance on the track and it's part of my enjoyment ... I love being there and I love racing and that's how I express that. If you watch me during my warm up I'm dancing the whole way through it. I've always got music playing and I'm just really getting into it, it's how I pump myself up for the race."

4. She Swims

Jenneke loves to swim to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself snorkeling in the ocean. Jenneke captioned the post, “A little taste of my amazing holiday in the Whitsundays last week 🌴⛵️ @suncoastcharters @hamiltonisland #gopro 🎶 Born To Be Yours - Kygo & Imagine Dragons.”

Pasternak told Fashionmagazine.com, that the singer is on his famous “5-Factor Plan.” Pasternak describes it as "A workout made up of five phases, which starts off with a cardio warm-up for at least five minutes. Rihanna loves to ride on a stationary bike, whereas some people will jog, walk, run stairs. Phase two is an upper-body resistance exercise, such as a back row or a shoulder raise. Phase 3 is a lower body exercise, like a skater lunge or a hamstring curl. Phase 4 is an abdominal movement like a side bend or a trunk twist. Phase 5 is a cardio cool-down for at least five minutes. So she'll do a continuous circuit, and each day of the week we do different body parts."
